- The SR-72 Will Be the Fastest Aircraft in the World:
Although the original Blackbird was an unarmed reconnaissance aircraft, the SR-72 will reportedly support Lockheed Martin’s new High-Speed Strike Weapon (HSSW). And while the world was watching closely when the Chinese tested their hypersonic missiles, the Son of Blackbird will reportedly fly at a blistering Mach 6 or 4603 mph or twice the speed of the original SR-71.

The SR does not stand for State Route, it stands for Strategic Recon.
Funny story there, the plane was supposed to be the RS-71 for Recon Strategic. I was told when I was in the USAF that President Johnson mispronounced the name and well no one wanted to correct him. However I just checked Wikipedia and there the story is that General LeMay changed the name.
Strategic Route 7T Too.
Computer auto corrects and absolutely no backchecking.
Also, the plane they show when saying SR-71 is the B-2 stealth bomber.
Ssssshhhhh...! It’s code! 😆
It's hard to take this video seriously, when the call the plane the "state route 72" . . . makes me wonder what else they didn't get right.
It honestly makes the video unwatchable. So annoying since it replaces the cool name of sr72 to a highway name
@@ST5S5 My thoughts exactly.
I agree.
LOL right?
I’m just watching this but literally just said its crazy how they switch the name and check the comments to see I’m not alone 😂😂😂
can't wait to see state route 72 flying at mach 4...................should break some highway records.
uh Mach 4? try again. IT'S GONNA BE ABLE TO GO MACH 16!(supposedly)
@@frozenstar7048 At Mach 16 then 1.5 Hrs over Europe the math don't up ie Mach 1 = 340/s aka 1224 KPH or 765Mph so x 16 = 19 584 Kph or 12 240 Mph Now using the globe circumference 40,075 km MEANS ANYWHERE IN 31 Minutes 20 000 / 19584/hr = 1Hr and 2 minutes but as you didn't listen the video STATED MACH 6 yes MACH SIX DUMB AR5E.... Listen @7:00 But at MACH 6 it would be 20 000 / 7344Kph =2 hrs and 43 minutes to anywhere on earth now considering Europe from he USA is 1hr and 30min at MACH 6.... Next time you make dumb ar5e comments do the maths first ....
Note Earth Circumference is 40 000Km as you can go in any direction then any other point is half way around the world at most hence 20 000 Km was used in working it out..
Will it be made from concrete or asphalt? The important question we all want to know. 😆
Impossible! Politicians would have to raise the speed limit on State Route highways and they can't agree on shit.
You need to realize how long it was before we heard about the Sr-71. and how long its been since anyones introduced a new plane. That and the Government cant introduce it because they would have to explain how a (air breathing plane) can go over Mach 7, they wont be able to because they would have to explain how fucking far we have advanced in propultion. We were working the Sr-74-75 in the late 80s early 90s. The games over and we wont hear about it till its too late for it to matter. Anything that can go over mach 10 can..roll out to the moon real quick and come back.

This is the US government, do not speak a word you will be executed for high treason

So Wilie Coyote will finally catch that darn Road Runner, Using the
new Acme State Route 72
It'd be sucha big D move if they introduced the world to the B-21, SR-72 & RQ-180 with a flyover at the Superbowl
Thunder over Louisville is said to be hosting never before seen aircraft this year.
That would be awesome
I'd watch that
Maybe in time for Superbowl 1000.
If Trump was still in office I could see that happen
@@brianawilk285 Not with $trillions in deficit spending on Afghanistan, Iraq, Ford class carriers, F35, LCS, and stealth destroyers.
On sunday morning at 5 am i was working in my backyard building a chicken run that was fully caged with chicken wire. As i was putting a row of chicken wire over the top of the run i could see a blur coming over the horizon and i thought what the hell is that. I focused in on this blur that was heading right over me and all i could see was a outline of a elongated diamond shaped aircraft with two domes under the aircraft, one under each wing. This was 5am on a sunday morning, it was dead quiet. This aircraft went from one horizon to the other in about five seconds with not a single decibel.
The only reason i saw it was because i happened to be looking through the chicken wire right at it. As it flew over head it blended with the sky perfectly. It was only when it was directly onerhead that i could see the outline. I've been to many airshows, seen a lot of planes but nothing was like that aircraft. The speed and stealth was incredible.
The next plane planed will be the Rural Free Delivery 73 or RFD73.
The design of the aircraft in your thumbnail is brilliant. Add upper air intakes and two stealth mounted 3d thrust nozzles and we got something.

Lockeed, probably should have been the one to attempt a SSTO rocket for military, NASA & passangers *Orbitline* service with the models shown 4:28. A cross breed craft that doesn't have wings, yet IS a wing form craft that would have transition between jet-ramjet-rocket engine *phase* versus stage-break off classic, for high exo orbit travel.
I worked at Lockheed for well over 3 decades. What is an SSTO rocket? I never heard that term. I have heard the term Aurora used in certain circles. I cannot confirm nor deny if it exists, however. I've never seen it. About this video. It's pretty hard to watch, isn't it? State Route. March 6? I wonder if it's Chinese or Russian gov propaganda? It's written and presented terribly. Why else wouldn't they use a real person to narrate?
@@antmanv05 well SSTO ...&L (sstol) initial named, but as mentioned with NASA feature or *Orbitline* (flight logo), technically meaning SSRTOL (R-unnway). SSTO as direction goal purpose. But then again for Runway wing, to SR high flight into Rocket, it might have to be called SRSSRToRL😉👌
@@antmanv05 as you say, of your influence in the company, why not add a VToL in the phrase, like 2 or 4 F-35 *vertical take off effect* 😀, with 4 engine, no need the top shield flaps, (all rear thrust/hold lift).

What do you know about this
They're well beyond the SR72 at this point!
no way dude, advanced materials n stuff
The US government has been reverse engineering wreckage of UFO's for over 50 years, what we have now would blow your socks off, don't think for a second that the SR71 is the most up to date military weapon we have today. Advance materials? Did you know that scientists have cross bred spider DNA into goats to create web material from goats milk that's 100 times stronger than steel and is flame retardent. If you knew all the tech that's secret right now, they'd have to Ki** you.
Been flying for a decade! It nearly blew both of my sliding glass doors out of their tracks one day. Ran up the west coast of Florida and made idiots think we had an earthquake so bad the news had to break in with a quick military cover story blaming it on two F-18s yet they were seen flying from the south very slow over Sarasota into MacDill yet it ran way north of the base up to the panhandle in a minute. I was on the phone with a buddy up north of me on the coast and he said holy shit right after I did. It put the shuttle’s sonic booms to shame and the shuttle flew right over us on its way back to the cape.
I've heard US busted some alien ass in Andromeda galaxy.
@@kennethfrazee2540 SR-71 'first flight' was Dec 22, 1964 which spyed and gave USSR trouble for decades. if you're saying the USA haven't made any progression in 60 years, then somethings wrong. Lmfao.
SR-71 will never be topped in my book. I would love to fly the SR-71
This is the Darkstar from Top Gun Maverick. The Skunkworks helped with building the full scale mock up for the movie.
This whole time I thought "Strategic Reconnaissance" was such a silly name. State Route makes so much more sense.
That’s a highway to ignorance, that name. Wrong.
Great Satire! It's a shame so few understand!
The SR and SR-71 does not stand for state route bozo, it stands for surveillance and reconnaissance
Thanks I knew i read it right years ago lol I was like yea that's not right lol
“Strategic Reconnaissance.” Close though.
Haha, I think it's being read by AI, and here they are wanting to give AI more control.

How nice of Lockheed to name the plane after the legendary state highway.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
The X43A hit speeds of 7,000mph making it the plane that hit mach10 back in the day, the irony is that it was recorded on November 16th of 2004. The Government only tells you what they want to tell you and when they deem it necessary to let it out of the bag. SMH we are so far more advanced than what we let onto.
Proof or a conspiracy theory
If they show you this they have something far beyond already
-👍 it’s a strategic route with the Blackbird!
Apparently the aircraft will be able to drive into areas on State Route 72. Good, wide open road.
and finally catch that roadrunner. Thank You Acme Co. & Son of Coyote.
The secret to it's stealth is it avoids the major highway systems.
Unfortunately for Wiley the roadrunner's got transdimentional temporal spacetime flux thrusters.
I would be in a state of shock and awe if Lockheed (or anyone) got a State Route 71 (or any other number) to go 3 mph...let alone reach the Mach 3+ of the SR-71. :P
There is more money being spend on weapons then on aducation ,medical care and affordable housing !! Dammm...!! And they wonder wy people are suffering?
That’s an impressive plane 🤩
SR72 Darkstar
Like father, like son.. you know when '72' has a son of his own, he'll proudly carry the famliy's tradition, and name that boy.. 'State Route 73' 👋
Holy Moly! It sure looks Sleek! The Son of Blackbird. It looks so Badass! Amazing!

I couldn't even get though a quarter of this video because of the continuous reference to "State Route 71"
The US had a Mach 12 craft in the 90's per Ben Rich, Lockheed Martin President. It was probably a demonstrator craft, but we still had it. Ever heard of the Aurora? Sure you have.
Stories. Just Go Away.
@@NeverTalkToCops1 the Aurora project was real. I used to work at Lockheed. It's real.
Aurora would have been mach 5, no documentation about it and ministry of defense denys its existence. So its just what you want to believe i guess
If the SR-72 aircraft needed recent state of the art alloys, and drone response time to fly Mach 6, how could Aurora fly at Mach 12 thirty years ago? The X-1, essentially a rocket has held the unbeaten record of Mach 10. Maybe Aurora wasn't that fast.
the reason its staying state route is because a bot is reading it and sr means state route in terms of roads and navigation. the plane was originally called rs-17 for reconnisence strike bur it is called sr now
I touched two SR71's and they are awesome!! there are There in Dayton Ohio's Airforce museum. Many people do not know there was a SR71 Drone also. It is much smaller than a SR71. I touched that too.
Imagine.... this whole time I thought "SR" stood for Swinger's Rendezvous 😂
I’m not surprised I think it can be both man or unmanned
it can't, 2000 mph(SR-71 speeds) really does some shit to your body but the SR-72 will go 13000+ MPH which is mach 16, and it will literally kill you
Wow…it’s beautiful
not as beautiful as u ?
This "narrator" makes me feel I'm back in kindergarten for Miss Suzie's pre-nap story time.
The pictures in this video are very interesting. When I was in high school in like roughly 1988 there was a model kit that you can buy of an airplane called the f-19 stealth fighter! From a lot of these pictures being used are a remarkable resemblance to the f-19 stealth fighter.
Definitely similar to the Darkstar from TOP GUN. Only difference is the one here is no mock up at all.
Amazing!👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
State Route? That's the problem with these electronic text to voice programs and their spell check function, and the fact that no proof reading or editing is performed before the product is posted. Ugh! At least they didn't call it the Sriracha 72. LoL!
Honeatly that would make more sense since the sr 71 got really hot during flight lol
really- it's so amateur. it's probably a foreigner Russian or Chinese bot. like Musk talks about. kill the bots.
Actually initially, I thought that was "Son of Bitch..ard." 🤣
makes sense pulse signatures at 5 and 6 mach leaving pine gap over many years
You had me at State Route 72. 🤣🤣 SR stands for Strategic Reconnaissance.
Top Gun Maverick 😍👍
A very nice successor to the venerable blackbird.
😂 The "State Route 72"🤷♂️
Come on man good lord
It's been flying for a couple of years now. The big hangar located south of area 51 houses this beautiful bird
This son of a blackbird really is something...
Dude this is the Singapore supersonic combat drone.
Nice upgrade
SR-71: "I am the king of the sky."
Sr-72: "I am better than you."
Sr-71: "Listen, junior. Let this old man show you how its done."
SR stands for Strategic Reconnaissance
Pretty damn sure there’s already been a successor, Project Aurora.
I'm sure we have some other special aircraft built by this point. And time!
Well that info on engine speed is wrong too. Because the SR -71 had a turbo fan ramjet, which was a dual propulsion engine and it was built in the 1960s.
The Top Gun craft was a mockup. Since the SR-72 is an unmanned drone, logic would imply a man could not fly it.
I wonder if they realized "Son of Blackbird" acronym was S. O. B.
The black world loves those inside joke acronyms. They do it all the time.
¿Cuando van a dar a conocer oficialmente las naves con motores antigravitacionales que ya tienen en funcionamiento?
When there replacement is already operational and in service honestly
Cuando puercos pueden volar. 😁.
I hope I said that right; my Spanish is well oxidized.
Man I hope this comes out I would love to see it it's gonna be awesome.
Maybe you'll & Iam, get together on the RMS shield
I'm pretty certain there already is one in operation. The Air Force wouldn't retire it's fun time bird without having another to replace it.
The SR designation of the aircraft does NOT stand for State Route, but it stands for Strategic Reconnisance.
No and yes
@@pokeplayz8105Elaborate what no, and yes were you talking about.
Blame the AI for not getting “SR” right, no wait, blame the creator for not typing the entire thing/
Most excellent design good aerodynamic body design I like the side profile like a tooth pick design I like no fins on top makes it harder for radar detection impregnate it with radar absorption material 💪💯
They should make one for search and rescue and rescue behind enemy lines and they could land like a harrier jump jet
awesome, awesome cool
what kind of music is playing in your video ?
Holy fire!
I’m an USAF Ssgt Veteran! 🇺🇸😊👍🏻
It’s nice to see Kelly Johnson’s legacy live on.
I drive on State Route 71 every day on my way to work. It really does need to be repaved. alot of potholes
I'm sure one of our most top secret planes would be filmed for a movie.
At least the world can see in Hollywood productions why the US doesn't have humanitarian health insurance like Germany. How nice that millions of US citizens have no health insurance, but billions of taxpayers' money in Ukraine, Afghanistan, Israel and Iraq. For weapons.
@ Larry Schwartz NAILED IT .
Think a RMS shield that will let you go to space then come back ?
Good day. I have a question. What if Lockheed remade Air wolf. How would it look. 🧐
Gov still not showing the silent pyramid flying around the skys that me and my family saw. Huge silent and quick like electricity. I wonder if it will ever be shown.
Oh hey, it’s the Dark Star. Call Tom!
THIS THING REMINDS ME OF FLIGHT OF THE NAVIGATOR
State Route? I love it.
wait where do I turn again?
And this is just what they show the public😉😏
if you seen this in person without knowing it's a military aircraft. you would think it's an alien spaceship.
I think I crossed the state route 72 while driving down I-55.
I, I can’t. State route? Did Google translate this from Chinese?
“State Route” is the SUPER SECRET CODE WORD for the aircraft. SHHHHHH , don’t tell the Russians !
Best jet from the 90s
The all new State Route 72 paved in blackbird
So much for editing for accuracy. Take it back and do it again - right !
What goes with state route? Don't know if we will still be here in 2030
Let us know when it's ready.. I'll take one..
We need to keep putting more videos out like this for the Russians and Chinese know what we have
Imagine what they don't show..
What RUSSIANS HAVE AMERICANS NEVER EVEN DREAMED ABOUT...😂
Let's consider this one of the most expensive target for Russia because of the speed of 3to4 machs
It never occurred to me that this channel used a digital narrator, like my wife's GPS on her old Jeep. State Route. That's really funny. Like when her Jeep used to say Nebraska for North East.
4:05 the side view looks almost like Thunderbird 2
The State Route 72 nice....
Looks like bird Maverick flew in opening scene.
It looks like a sharks tooth . Badass
I personally believe the successor is already flying and in service. Like the 71, it will remain a secret for maybe another few years.
I have always believed that they would not have retired the SR71 absent an operative replacement. Satellites are good, but they are also predicable and therefore can be fooled.
State route. Fuck me
I remember a few years ago they had a leaked pic of a triangle shaped aircraft on a carrier
If those pics are real ..that thing looks sick!
they're not!
Also you show the stealth fighter while talking about the SR-71.
