Kev, I really appreciate your honest approach when it comes to a first impression. Rather that jump on the hype train, you’re not overly enthusiastically trying to convince us it’s something it’s not. Which I think happened a bit with the factor. Seems like a lot of people who got one are selling them. I missed out on the preorder, I was super bummed and then I wasn’t after they all started landing. I did however get in on this preorder with a little more reservation and probably a good thing. I’m still much looking forward to it as I think Brian is a wizard and everything he makes is interesting at the very least. Keep it up my dude
The Factor i really loved. It was snappy. But the one i tried and owned was a batch 1 which i have now handled batch 2 and the magnets are just weaker it seems. So that is a difference in the early reviews you see and the pre orders coming in i think.
I don’t think the assist feature on this one is smart. If it shot out then it would be cool. But with the factor you could just swing the blade out pulling the tab back. I would rather do that then the blade not being able to drop closed by itself.
I don’t recall the factor disengaging from the magnets when pulling the tab or the lock. U hd to flick it or push the tab and flip it. But agree otherwisr
Thanks for the overview! Looks pretty cool, and I give WBC enormous credit for innovation, pushing the envelope, and trying something new. But, am I the only one who wants a version *without* the weird deployment lever, but with magnets that *draw the blade in* like like the Factor?

I like the blade and design of this one more than the factor. Pretty cool he's creating new functions on folders.
Great! Now I’m gonna have The Circle of Knife going through my head all night. Thanks, Jamie! 😂
Another interesting design. I'll probably just stick with my factor which I absolutely love and highly recommend.
All hail Winterblade! 💜💜💜

Another interesting one for sure. Brian definitely has the cool factor going on. Thanks
Pun intended?
@@LeftyEDC yup!
This maker is a wizard so innovative.
Any chance on a disassembly and maybe bearing swap?
Nah this was a prototype and i already sent it back. I didn’t pre order one.
oml. three minutes before he flicks the blade.
Oh man. This is the only video of this knife.. 🤣
😂😂😂😂😂
Can't wait to get mine. I love the Factor.
I wonder if you could put stronger magnets in it to get it to fire harder and have stronger detent
Interesting! Great video 👍

No haha i want something like that
100% on board. I like my factor, but i'd love a more classic looking magnet driven knife. Or even magnet assisted as well once you break detent
man, it’s like listening to barney gumble talk about knives.
Fun one. 🤙
See why the clip is not reverseable, think mirror image.
Yea but it would still work or make a lefty clip. 🤷♂️
Had the factor felt like a kids toy with a nice blade- I may be one of the few but not a fan - 😢 enjoyed video
No, it’s a mirage
:)
🤣
