    Have you walked any, or all of the South West Coast Path - if so, what section was your favourite? If you haven't, would you hike this section after watching the video?

      Thank you for the well wishes. I must confess, I've not seen Doc Martin, though there were plenty of marketing nods to it (that and Poldark) when we visited and I saw the odd tailor made tour for it too. Thank you again for such kind words saying the videos are well done! 🙏

    The Dragon Quest series used Tintagel as it's basis for the main castle (random fun fact). Cheers Caroline on another great adventure. ❤️☕

    The Boscastle harbour area really caught my eye, love it when the tide is out and the boats just sit on the seabed like that. I know those 'raining for at least an hour' clouds and they are not fun - cool to take photos of when they're coming in or moving past but not good to be directly underneath one. You got your stopping places for coffee and lunch spot on - what a view you had and the rain left you alone too! The coastline reminded me of north-east Scotland on the NC500, the coves, bays, grassy cliffs, sea stacks and weather were a perfect match. Have you ever thought about doing a big multi day walk like the whole of the South West Coastal? I know some people do but I read that it takes months!

    • @WhenAdventureKnox
      @WhenAdventureKnox  2 роки тому +1

      I've ummed and aaahed about a multi day hike, but the logistics of it just seems a bit crazy. I'd be restricted to school holidays so would likely need to book accommodations or camp sites well ahead of time, and I often wonder about what would happen if the weather was horrendous and I just wanted to do a shorter stint (You can tell I really have thought about this). There's a number of international places I want to visit that would entail multi day trekking, namely Machu Picchu in Peru, the Lost City in Colombia and Everest Basecamp - all of which would be done with a guide who'd be able to sort out the logistics. I've also looked into UCPA over in France too, to do hut-hut hikes, again, organised through UCPA guides. I think my issue is that I have too many places on my bucket list. As for your comment about the landscapes having an NC500 nod to them - completely agree, 2 stunning places in the UK!

      @@WhenAdventureKnox Ha yes I can tell you have put a lot of thought into it. Sounds like some real challenges there but very rewarding I'm sure. I read that the South West Coastal path is around 600 miles and takes about 50-60 days - now that would be an adventure!

    Looks beautiful. The view into the harbour reminded me of Staithes (I think), I live in Perth in WA now and miss all this so I’m really enjoying your videos. Keep it up!

      Hi Chris. Now you mention it, I totally see it. I grew up in the North East and my uncle is in Whitby so know the area well, yet hadn't made the connection. I bet Perth is amazing though - I'm so cold in mid January, all wrapped up in a blanket as I type this, so very envious of how warm it must be there now!

    I've walked all the coast path when I was younger and also all the parts at different times as I live on the coast path. It's impossible to choose a favourite bit as its all different and often it depends on the weather and depends what your more interested in. Anyway I'm planning to walk the coast path again this year and take my time more as before I didn't really stop to look around and take in the scenery so much as I do now. Might be an age thing.😂Anyway very nice video and you speak to the camara very well though I'm not sure if you need the music. I think all the natural sounds around you is nice enough. 😊😊😊

    • @WhenAdventureKnox
      @WhenAdventureKnox  2 роки тому +1

      Hi Shaun, thank you so much for such a lovely message. That's amazing that you've hiked the whole path, you're going back to do it all again and you've done it in smaller chunks at other times too - very impressive! Completely agree about needing to take in the time to appreciate the scenery, and to spot smaller things like the insects along the way. Like you, I used to think a good hike was when I could blitz it and say 'I did it in record time', but have realised taking is slower is better than being able to brag about timings afterwards 🤦‍♀️🤣 They do say as you get older you get wiser. Funny that you mention about the music. I'm in the process of editing a couple of videos from the series that will follow this Davon and Cornwall one and have decided not to have any music in them past the intro, so as to take in the natural sounds caught on film. Will be interesting to see how everyone else reacts to them.

    Forse non leggerete mai la mia richiesta di informazioni ,volevo sapere che differenze ci sono esattamente è semplicemente tra il popolo della Bretagna francese e quello della Cornovaglia ,intendo come ospitalità modo di fare integrazione con loro perché mi vorrei trasferire essendo anche un amante delle leggende celtiche. Io le ho visitato entrambe ma non ho avuto modo di assaporare le differenze culturali e per ciò che riguarda la tradizione di Re Artù quale è ripeto l'integrazione in livello di integrazione con le due popolazioni per un italiano anche a livello lavorativo vi ringrazio e vi faccio i complimenti per il video.
    Le Differenze paesaggistiche che io ho potuto notare sono che in Cornovaglia si trova molto più verde essere come essere in Irlanda mentre la Bretagna francese a volte e arida come in Italia è il caldo è afoso mentre in Cornovaglia il clima è più secco e ventilato.
    In quale dei due paesi prevale di più la cultura celtica e il richiamo alle crociate con vari documenti e reperti storici?
    Grazie

      Salve, temo di non essere sicuro di poter rispondere alle vostre domande, soprattutto perché non ho molta esperienza in quella parte della Francia. Se stavi cercando di trasferirti in Cornovaglia, è una parte meravigliosa del Regno Unito. Tuttavia, uno dei problemi maggiori è trovare un impiego, o almeno un impiego per vederti durante l'intero anno poiché molti lavori sono stagionali per soddisfare il mercato turistico. Grazie per le belle parole sul video.

      Hi Khatoon, lovely to hear from you again, and I am well thank you. Our COVID numbers have gone up significantly too, and like in Arabic countries, our government is putting safety precautions in place in schools and other workplaces where people can't work from home. After our Christmas holidays, we now have to wear masks at all times indoors at school, before Christmas these weren't required in a classroom. Much like you, I ma eager for things to get back to as normal as our new normal can possibly be!

      Hi Khatoon. Love the research you always do based on the places I've visited! 🙏 Had you heard of King Arthur and Merlin's Cave before? It's a story that's told to us a lot when we're younger at school so it's unusual for anyone here not to have heard it, but I do wonder if it's restricted to the British Isles of if people overseas know of it!
