Tony great video, you were spot on the way you explained it. I'm not sure if the folks you're talking about are using the old traditional carpet mills but the company Grand carpet mill uses a rubber belt mill they flipped the belt upside-down its super smooth and fellows are using them as their primary machine For their conditioning program And they are very successful I witnessed it myself and I was impressed They are Not Turning Like a carpet mill they are super smooth and you can do sprints or distance on them When you get up When you get a change check them out
I will check it out. I remember "Grand carpet Mills" but never bought one. I will check to see how they are built and main purpose. Thanks for your input!
I have both a slat and a carpet mill which my mate made me , the carpet mill is a cracker it's a free turning for a carpet mill does about 3 full rotations for every push is silent it's my tool of choice most of the time
James Crenshaw told me he hand walked Jeep on the hills behind his house for 5 hours. I tried that once with a Carver dog plus 30 minutes wide open on a carpet mill. But the show was canceled so I can't tell you how that routine worked.
Great video. Where did you purchase the large front wheels?
Is this an RP Millmaker Mill? The motorcycle hub is familiar looking.
Yes, it is! Killerspinner or something like that! 😆

I have a GCM. How would you suggest using it as far as for sets and time? Thanks
I will also consider a free spinning carpet mill, and the main reason is because it's way quieter, I love the slatmill, but it's noisy
What is the ideal length of time goal for your dog to work the mill?
Great Video thank you for sharing
Thank you. Much appreciated!

Yes, the carpet mill is used for strength building, and the slatmill is for endurance.
