Hey I was just starting my first full mod with a stryfe and was going with bright green with gold accents. It's cool to see an interpretation of that colour scheme. This is by far my favourite mod (though it is clearly overpowered). As a concept piece, it's perfect. But for function I would strip down some of the power. Do you have to sand this shell? It didn't look like it. Why is this different?
So if I understand this correctly, Drac just made a Tier 0 sniper-class Nerf Gun that, given the Scar barrel, will literally outclass any other Nerf gun on the field.
"We're breaking FPS of like, 260..." Good lord, Drac. I mean, 260 FPS? Seriously? That's kind of crazy... That thing's gonna shoot darts that HURT. 260 FPS is lower end Airsoft speeds. That being said...Part of me wants to volunteer to be the first person to take a point-blank shot from the Rhaegal. :P

how do u like that soldering iron? i just bought the same one a couple days ago and havent used it yet. i thought it was wireless when i bought and then i got home and realized it wasnt. im planning on 3d printing a wrist band holder thatll hold 2 18650s in series on it so i can use the soldering iron without cords tangling me up or restricting where i can go
Great build. Did you have any initial issues with your catch? I recently got one of the xzeus2 shells and a 16kg spring from nerfturf but am having issues with it wanting to catch, even with the nerfturf catch sprin that came with the 16 kg spring. Suggestions?
The blaster looks amazing! I would love to do something with a blue/black/silver scheme. Just have to convince my parents a good idea. Also I'm not an experienced nerf modder (if that's a word). As far as quality goes I really appreciate the improvement. Keep up the great work!
drac, i put about this much power if not less in my longshot and used a stock plunger just like you did, and the internals of the plunger went shooting out the front of the plunger tube and into the breach area. what should i do to prevent this next time?
Seems to be fishtailing...........though you can't expect anything else! BTW when you hydro-dip the shell halves, the graphic wont align together right? how do you deal with that!
Hugo van Geffen It is. It was one of the first ones out of the factory because it says 50 not 18. Originally the stampede came with a 50 dart drum but they couldn't use it for some reason so they make the 18 dart mags.
would this function well as a DMR equivilent if fired with accustrike darts? i feel it definately has the power to counter the lower velocity of accustrike darts.
Drac that is a great build really looks good ! I personally think the power is way to much priming like that is slow and just IMO wouldn't be fun LOL i really enjoyed this video

Id like to see a video where you reign in some of these overpowered blasters with some custom scar barrels. that hasn't been really explored much on youtube. You've got the 3d design experience now to really cover the topic. The printed rifling seems like its replacing the fishing line designs, but you could cover that too. Great videos btw!. My son can watch them and be entertained while still getting a good dose of technical info for his mind.
Yes in a normal case it would but in this case, there is so mutch uncontrelled power behind the Projektile, that there woulnd´t be a huge Performance lost because zhe energy would be directed....

Suggestion for future mod for this blaster. Longer Barrel on the gun to increase the accuracy (possibly with dart rifling) and a handle grip coming off the pump.
mod help, Mt plunger tube on my alpha trooper broke, so do you have a way to fix that or know of an after market producer that makes alpha trooper plunger tunes?
I bought an xzeus and only half the pump grip came and when I asked for them to send the other half they sent both halfs so I have the left side of the pump grip still here, I could ship it over if u pay for shipping Drac
Getting that "magic-bullet" effect with those velocities and projectile mass. Not sure how string rifling works with that level of power if at all, but some type of spin stabilizing is required. If you can feed some Accustrike darts (cut down) through it, see what happens. Beyond that, spherical projectiles or drop the spring tension, which would be a shame for something approaching HPA/marker pistol velocities.

You almost might need a long orange barrel like the one on the Kriss Stryfe, it has enough power to where it wouldn't lose much range/fps and it would gain a lot of precision
260 fps?! That's most modern day stock nerf guns x 3... you also shot foam about 1-2 inches into another block of foam that's stronger than the dart itself. This thing has the strength of a crappy air soft gun, which is good for a nerf gun

Isheian in theory I'd say so, haven't modded or fired heavier darts but it's good in theory

Translation: the barrel is full seal thus it would loose a little veloicty yes but it would stabalise the dart substantialy
