ATLANTA - Good food is supposed to nourish the soul as well as the body.
But the FOX 5 I-Team says an Atlanta social media influencer who touts his cooking skills online has left behind a mess of consumer complaints and hurt feelings. And worse.
"This has been a living nightmare," complained Atlanta resident Melenese Ford.
Darius Williams, 39, once owned two Atlanta restaurants that he closed in January 2020. He’s since built an impressive online presence under the pseudonym Darius Cooks.

I used to follow him for recipes years ago. But he quickly showed his narcissistic behaviors and messiness. Between the frequent posts about his “credit repair company” and him calling out people who left bad reviews about his restaurant, I knew he was a scammer and unfollowed. It’s wild that the first I’ve heard about him in years is when this video popped up on my feed. Good reporting. Please expose and de-platform him. Especially when he goes as far as to post people’s children on social media, just sick.
His arrogance is steadily increasing and It's just a matter of time before he comes crashing down. His slip started showing when he got in trouble for those illegal credit repair companies and had to shut down his restaurants.

I used to follow him but the red flags 🚩 started popping up all over the place. The recipes weren’t making sense, the rudeness towards his followers, the credit repair scam and the list goes on. I finally did some digging and saw that his shenanigans go back at least 10 years. It’s sad that people, despite his behavior continue to support him. When I saw that the people at his dining event were being served sangria out of a storage bin, I was like c’mon folks y’all have to hold him to a standard.

It took me a YEAR to get my refund back from a cancelled Dining experience after doing everything right.. My last attempt was to comment under one of his post and his followers chew me up and out for hours on his thread even after I posted my order number. He eventually refunded me weeks later.

It’s hard to imagine he’s gotten worse over the years. I unfollowed him years ago.
I paid upfront fees to his 701 Credit Repair Service over 4 years ago, never received an initial phone call as stated on his then site. I had to file a complaint with my bank for services I never received. Glad my bank gave me my money back. This isn’t good for him. I doubt he ever recovers from this. Seeing this today, I am not surprised.
