How can you not be comfortable? I totally believe he did it himself because of personal experience. For one he was under the influence of a anti-inhibitor. He had been abusing them. They had been touring and he’s dealing with relapse. The last thing he said to his wife was “I’m tired” before he hung up the phone. When you’ve been there that resonates. I was lucky I was not alone when I made a irrational spontaneous decision. He had taken to much Ativan. Compare it to being drunk. His speech was slurred while talking to her. She called because he was turning the house lights on and off. She asked him about the amount of medication he took. He got angry. She said they argued and he said he was tired and hung up the phone. She tried reaching him again and he never answered. She called his bodyguard to go check on him. The bodyguard couldn’t get in the room. By the time he got entrance to the room to much time had passed. The pictures of the bathroom were taken after medics had tried reviving him. They had administered Narcon because they don’t know what he may have ingested. I actually get angry when conspiracy theorists show up because usually it is what it is. He had a bad moment and didn’t make it through. It happens all the time. You just get this life tiredness. I believe if it wasn’t for the high amount of Ativan he wouldn’t have been irrational as well as the fatigue. Those are bad combinations. Anyone who has ever been through therapy for severe depression is aware of this. Some people just can’t accept it is what it is when it comes to suicide because they don’t understand it. There was a time I couldn’t understand it. By the time Chris died I did understand and it was heartbreaking he didn’t make it to the next day. Sometimes that’s all it takes and you’re thinking better. Taylor Munson herself, after Chris died then her best friend died in a motorcycle accident. She went to a dark place. The Pretty Reckless album released in 2020 titled Death by Rock n Roll address some of her experiences during that time, especially “My Bones”. A song about a secret plan and carrying it through. You have those and you have the ones that are spontaneous during a weak moment but either way the person is going through something mentally unhealthy.
Mate..just stumbled across your vid.. I'm 55 and a life long fan of god..sorry I meant Chris. And Soundgarden of course. It was my eldest daughter who's a proper metal head like her old fella here. And she told about this conspiracy, that he and Chester were looking into a peado ring that was right to the top, Hollywood and all that bollocks. And that they were offed. I didn't ever get that Chris was suicidal and not that I knew him or owt, but as a life long total mark for these boys, I just didn't think he'd do himself in..and I still don't. I love Chris and always will.. My favourite singer in my favourite band.. Best thing I've heard some one say about Chris..was jack black... Chris Cornell could open different dimensions when he sang.. Fucking right mate .🤟😎🤟 Much love from a manc.😉
Chris was very sensible, I think that musicians with inner fiends are the most creative in songwriting and compositions, too bad that many of these musicians had a tragic fate because they had a lot of potential, but the traumas could beat them and led to this decision. But their legacy and skillful creativity will stay with us. I'm not a deeply fan of hard rock but there are many talented artist from this musical genre although it's not the type of music that i use to listen often. Taylor Momsen the girl who spoke is an excellent young artist you should listen her band The pretty Reckless she has a powerful and raspy voice🎤🎸👌👏👍
I dont get that from Dave and Taylor at all. They're clearly talking about mental health issues and that Chris had been dealing with them for a long time. (He likely brought up chester due to the topic that was being discussed...)
Listen to what his wife and close friends have said about leading up to that night, and that night. Not to the conspiracy theorists who love to stir up crap.
Don’t take anything with Dave Grohl at face value. He’s one of the most disingenuous people I’ve ever come across. Look into the numerous stories that were silenced after Taylor’s very similar passing
He really was the complete package, voice, writing ability, looks, he is the archetypal rock star
The body language you spoke of is grief. Think about any funeral of a young person you’ve ever been to
How can you not be comfortable?

It was hard watching Taylor Hawkins because of his recent death....RIP to Chris and Taylor
congratz on 10k you legend.

He was 14 years sober as well
Yes...but he had relapsed at the time. Very sad.
I saw Eddie play with Glen Hansard shortly after Chris’ passing. The grief was truly palpable

Totally agree that nothing about his death makes sense. Sometimes I think Chris saw too much. Just a thought. Thanks Rory.
yeah, eddie has a low ass speaking voice.
I don’t think it was suicide
Eddie has always had a deep, drawling voice

And now Taylor Hawkins is gone too!
