Excellent video on torquing springs.Makes all the concept clear.Having read everyone's questionnaire and answers I understood that using 17*25 Rect as the archwire and torquing loops can be made with .016 or .018 ss or 18*25 TMA wire. The technique is so helpful. Thanks so much once again
Thanks a lot for sharing this. If I Wanted to apply a lower force to begin with, should I make the spring not so flat to the floor (3:50), but pointing towards the roots (for root lingual torque - lower teeth) at an angle? Also because the force depends on the size of the main AW too
If I am using slot 22 MBT what minimum size of wire should I use 19*25? In other words can the torque spring be applied on AW circular SS wires or it will cause alot of uncontrolled tipping?
Hi doc, for all anterior teeth torqueing, is it needed to attach each anterior brackets with torque springs? Or Is it possible to put only two springs while wire ligating the anteriors together? Thanks
If the spring is bent to push lingually on the crown, the edgewise wire will twist to produce labial root torque (Figs 1-3b). This is an example of an impossi- ble appliance. Placing the auxiliary on a round wire makes the mechanism possible (Fig 1-3c). The biomechanical foundation of clinical orthodontics
@@jvaraneta I will discuss this with my orthodontist. It's my tooth that's at an incline and they plan on removing the braces in January 2019. I'm not sure if they've taken this tooth into account
Andrada Fița i dont know how i can help but it would be best to talk to your dentist about your case. Or you could get a second opinion. If you don’t agree with your current dentist, it is your right to find someone you like.
hi! i use regular grade SS. the round wire is wrapped around the rectangular tightly to provide the force. in most cases, I have to crimp the springs to better the grip.
Finally got that good person, selfless soul. U will always be remembered 🙏🙏

One of the best vídeos about torque spring in youtube , congrats!!!!
This is great thanks for sharing your knowledge 🙏🏻
excellen🎉t keep doing good work
thanks for the video, I just have a patient who needs that for upper canines
love your mentality...

awsome vdo , keep posting like this tht would be much more appreciated 💗❤️
thank you!
Thank you for sharing. This video is very useful.
For lower arch with lingual root torque does the posterior archwire moves apically as well?
This is great. Really appreciate it
Absolutely AMAZING, many thanks!!!
Lovely and thank you for the video.
Nice..its was worth watching
High quality video, thanks!
Thank you 😊 I🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 very definitive and helpful
very helpful video.. thank u so much.. but can u pls mention the preferred archwire for giving torquing auxiliary?
18x25TMA

a 19x25 NiTi is too big. a 17x25 NiTi would be good enough.
Awesome , make more of those Videos please !
Great video, would this work on square arch wires ( Pitts protocol wires)?
i think it can be done but it could be difficult. i find it difficult even with 17x22.
Thanks!, is it possible to use some sort of adhesive to improve grip?@@jvaraneta
I thought about it but i dont think so considering the area is too small and the it would be difficult for the material to stick to the SS@@zenASDF

hi! I wouldn't use this for all anterior teeth at the same time. The A.R.T. spring can do that.
Thanks for the useful video. But what is the size of the archwire? Thank you :*
Thank you Doc)
Thank you so much
Hi Dr. What's up?
sorry, what did you mean by the post. arch wire should move apically when we move the root lingually and why?
I don't know how to explain it better than how I said it. sorry.
@@jvaraneta
thank you so much Dr.
Thanks
Tanks ❤ can you share real case that used for pls
Thank you so much for this
Que tipo de alambre ocupas para realizarlo
Thanks a lot

@@baselmidani3084 ive heard this before from a famous korean orthodontist, but fortunately, it worked for me. i hope you’ll give this a second look.
Thank you so much sir
hi i tried few times earlier it was rolling
than after few attempts i managed to engage on the wire but springy ness was lost can wediscuss on this
Would this help straighten a tooth that was aligned at an incline using braces? To make it sit flush with the rest of the teeth?
yes, but you have to be careful that there is no overcorrection by seeing the patient 1-2 weeks after activation.

Would this help for fixing the problem of a front incisor that is a little forwarder than the other teeth?
hi! i'm sorry i can't answer that, but i'm sure your dentist can. thanks!
@@jvaranetathat's the problem. My orthodontist doesn't know. can i send you some pictures with the tooth? Pleasee..

how u prevent spring from rotation?

Thanx👌🏻👍🏻

Increíble x Dios, very god butttt the explanation the letters are very quickly for read
i'm sorry about that, but you ca download it and slow the video down.
Dont understand the activation. Please another video with zoom¡
you activate it once you ligate the archwire.
All that effort when they really cost a dime a dozen. Time better spent doing other things!
What grade of 016 / 018 ss are you using to form the spring?
Does the spring "grip" a rectangular wire to provide torque?
Thanks
hi! i use regular grade SS. the round wire is wrapped around the rectangular tightly to provide the force. in most cases, I have to crimp the springs to better the grip.
Thanks for that, also do you know is this the same as Chris Chang uses?
yes, i know and i'm a big fan! but dr. chang uses a preformed TS if I'm not mistaken.'
Excellent
thanks
you're welcome!
