0:00 Intro.
0:05 The shop advised the customer to bring it back to the dealership they just purchased it from and declined to work on it as they didn't want their name on it.
0:22 Easy fix! The radio wasn't set to any station so it was static noise coming out of the speakers.
0:39 Might be back in a future episode if the DIY repair goes wrong.
0:49 All that work and it still didn't fix the issue. The customer said it was his "mechanic friend" who had tried to fix the exhaust rattle.
1:08 Good thing the customer went to the shop right away to get it checked out. Also, a good reminder to learn how to change a spare wheel, check oil etc. before learning how to drive a car.
1:18 The technician said it looked like they were recently in a front-end collision which is why the hood prop wasn't in place and secured. So it was bouncing around and touched the positive terminal on the battery.
1:29 Easy fix...
1:43 The technician removed the rubber hands and the trunk closed.
1:56 Another good reminder to always keep your vehicle clean.
2:06 No extra info.
2:16 It would have made sense to fix the timing chain guides, etc. while the front cover off. The shop still fixed the oil leak as the front cover was off.
2:30 No complaint from the customer. Maybe they did it themselves.
2:40 Read your owner's manual on when it's acceptable and what speeds to use 4WD HI or Low.
2:50 "Just pulled off the highway and see the guy selling flowers jumping out of the way. Then BOOM a tire flying by and causing mayhem smashing a truck."
3:02 Outro. Thanks for watching! - Авто та транспорт

It never ceases to amaze me why people don't get a PRE purchase inspection when buying a used vehicle.
Some dealers won't allow you to get it inspected at an independent shop first.
Hi, CarMax.
@@j_taylor Easy solution, don't buy that car.
@@j_taylorany dealer or personal sale that doesn’t allow that definitely has something to hide. That would throw up more red flags than a Chairman Mao rally.
If they won't let you get a ppi then it's obvious they are hiding something from you. You tell them that either you get a ppi or you'll go elsewhere with your money. You can also use the ppi to negotiate a lower price.
@@edmondlau511 I don't disagree. Sometimes people get in situations, though. A friend bought their car at CarMax and had a great experience there. A few years later, they needed to downsize. CarMax would roll over the remaining loan into the next car. So.... Friend took their new car to trusted mechanic the next day, where they learned of concealed major damage.

The one with the Peterbilt has me worried about the next generation of long-haul truckers...
Its a mess already, heading towards 3rd world status!
dont worry, weve never been the brightest, just didnt have anywhere to show it off besides the parts counter
They probably have a contract that forbids them from working on the truck themselves so they get into the mindset of "problem=take it to the service centre" and the dumbing down increases..
The poor guy at the end, as well as those car owners. There is nothing anybody can do, when a wheel comes racing that fast. You better take cover. Because wheels are heavy, when one got so much speed, you better not get in the way, it could literally kill you.
I saw a video once of a guy who tried to stop the 600 pound wheel of a mining truck that broke loose. It removed his arm.
Some people just can't think on the spot.
I had something like that happen but I was on a motorcycle and the wheel cut across my pass less than 30 ft away.... I was watching it bounce down the opposite side of the road coming at me from about 1/8-1/4 mile after it left the rear axle of a semi on a 4 lane divided (large grassy median) highway (US27S in Fla). I had slowed to be able to maneuver out of the way if necessary. Once it passed it cut a stop and street sign off at the knees and took out a orange tree or three.
I saw a semi that had another semi wheel hit it from the opposite direction. About a 120 mph impact. Truck at 60, wheel at 60. It blew through the grill and radiator, blew off the oil pan, ( which had 28 big bolts sheered off) and broke the crankshaft off 2 cylinders back. I could see the first two connecting rods hanging out of the motor. Crazy physics.
@@gustav-no8rz it's still a 60 mph impact, not 120 mph.
@@gustav-no8rzif both of those hit each other at the same speeds, the impact speed is still 60.

That pedestrian was lucky it didn’t take them out
No, it wasn't "another shop" that caused this damage. You're not going to believe this...
I had one bounce over the freeway median wall toward me. Managed to judge its trajectory correctly and avoid it.
Back in about 1991-1992, I actually saw that happen one day on the 405-freeway southbound near the Torrance area. One hell of a car
Keep Rolling rolling rollin...
That's a great way to keep the cabin filter clean. I'll try that next time.
Fun story:
This Friday evening, I tried to do my very first oil change myself and was also able to find a video of someone doing it on the exact same car.
First step is to remove the plastic cover that protects the oil filter area. So I remove the plastic rivets and move on to the 4 bolts.
First one breaks and is also stuck in my socket. Great. Was able to find another socket that fits so move on to the second.
Which also breaks and stays stuck in the socket.
I now have an appointment at the shop to have them remove the plastic cover (I'm afraid the 2 other bolts will also break) and to try and remove the 2 broken bolts. But I'll still do the oil change myself after.
What a nice experience!
A WTF every minute, I've never replaced a cabin air filter
I decided to replace mine in my 2021 Silverado since it's the first vehicle I've owned that has had a cabin air filter. Went to the store and bought the one Fram says fits. Pull out the glove box and figure out how to pull off the cover for the filter. Pull the original out which only had 20K miles on it and looked pretty good. Put the new one in and found out it's 1/2" narrower than the original and just slides around. Now I've gotta take it back to the store and find a different brand that is the RIGHT size!
The baffling logic of people......
• Person got an issue with the car, won't start
• brings it to a shop
• shop identifies problem and could fix it
• Person declines repair and takes car away
So why the F*** do people bring their cars in? To get repair information and then trying to repair it themselfes, which is usually going badly wrong and they damage the car more?
Anyone who is pushing a car around instead of selling it and taking the bus is having problems in life that have no solution.
It's supposed to magically fix itself for free once it is inside the magical Wonka repair shop of course.
Low IQ activities
No repair shop will give an estimate without the car being in a bay. Then the estimate is too high, so the customer declines repairs and leaves.
I've declined repairs several times when I either didn't have enough money to cover the repairs, or when I was shopping around for the best deal. I did that just a few months ago, and it saved me $500. One shop I'd never used before wanted $1,800, and a shop I'd used on several occasions wanted just under $1300. I also asked the second shop in passing if something specific in my car needed to be replaced or repaired, and they said that part showed no signs of damage. The first shop wanted the extra $500 to replace it.
There are very good reasons for declining repairs.
That's like when I was an apprentice 20 years ago. People would ask for a brake inspection because they knew their vehicle needed some brake work. They also told us they would be doing the repairs themselves, they just don't know what they need or what the parts are called. If you are a DIYer, Haynes Manuals can educate you on this stuff, but maybe I'm taking what I know for granted.
I feel bad for the friends going all Fred flintstone there. Liek "dude, just get it fixed, I an't pushing it anymore."
