- My thoughts on iRO (international Ragnarok Online) after playing for 1hr. This is the very first episode in a series where I will explore ALL servers of Ragnarok Online.

Quests are a shame in this kind of games sadly, was so good to just log in and do what you want.

A Brazilian subscribed here! It's so nostalgic to see these ragnarok gameplays. I live in Canada and I have no idea which server to choose to play again. I started playing in the golden age of Ragnarok in Brazil, I believe 2005 on the Chaos server. Keep up the content!
Vlw! Como vc esta no Canada, acredito que possa acessar o iRO. Mas jogar no servidor em portugues faz parte da nostalgia! Eu joguei no Loki, em 2005 tb. Cara, o jogo mudou muito, mas sempre vale a pena jogar um pouco, nem que for pra matar a saudade e lembrar dos velhos tempos!

Omg I played so much RO. Played iRO open beta in the very first days and went to jRO, kRO, tRO, and private servers galore. I remember when the Aegis leak happened(then came eAthena) and we just went fucking nuts. Lol. Some of the best times I’ve ever had were playing RO in the 00s.

What make RO beautiful is there's np tutorial and quest back then you leaen by yourself or asking other player thats the core of this game comunity

Saudade de quando era adolescente. Ainda reclamava da vida kkkkk.
Pois é, lá pra 2008, passava o final de semana inteiro, literalmente, jogando! E achava pouco! Hoje em dia, nem to conseguindo jogar 1hr por dia. Por isso que não lancei nenhum vídeo desde então. Eu achava que estava jogando umas 5hrs por semana. Daí comecei a registrar no calendário pra ver a real. É umas 10hr no mês inteiro, e olhe lá! MInha coleção de jogos na Steam, jogos que nem se quer instalei, tá gigante! Kkkkkkkkkkkk

I actually attempted a clean play through the Freya server, documented my findings on the forum, but lost interest. Chaos server imo is actually really fun until you hit about 120. After that everything feels like a chore, and monsters feel more like random bits of data than anything with personality as with the right stuff you just 1 shot dozens at a time. I guess that's RO for you. I'll be watching. I want to know what the "best" official ro experience is since I dislike private servers.
Would love to read it. I tried to find on the warpportal website but couldn't find it. Could you share the link or the title? -- So, most of my experience is on the official Brazilian server, and it's exactly like you said about your experience in iRO. New players who don't invest lots of money in the game get to about 105~120 and stop. Older players have super strong items and just hitkill everything, without any need for playing in a party. I'm still playing on iRO, the next video will be my thoughts on iRO after 20hrs. I think I will eventually hit that ceiling that you mention, the ~120 ceiling. I wonder if all official servers have that same ceiling. Anyway, thanks for enjoying the video!
@@gamecitizen i tried playing on iRO after watching your video. I have a different experience, i manage to reach lvl150 Rune Knight with minimal items and zero $ invested in the game. Just depends on playing style or class i think.
@@geekytroll7968 Yeah, I still have to release the video, but, in iRO, I've been playing with hunter and wizzard. With the hunter, it's much easier! Most of the time, when I start new, I make a hunter or an assassin. I think Gunslinger might be the easiest class to level up, or maybe Doram. However, I think that's a problem with the current design of most servers: if you are starting from zero, it's far more advisable to start with certain classes than others.
@@gamecitizen i dont know with Gunslinger/Rebel, i think you will suffer with SP at lvl110 up. In my case as Rune Knight, i only needed Peuz Mora set to boost Wind Cutter and a Thanatos sword from Ghost Palace instance. The skill was probably buffed since i was making around 50k dmg. So i was able to use it as AoE on mobs.

Actually, it performed super well! It is currently the video that gets most views in my channel! I guess I stopped making videos because I was too busy working, so I didn't even had time to play. But your commentary had a great impact on me! Thank you very much for your commentary! It gave me a boost of energy and reminded me that there are other fans of ragnarok out there too! Seriously, thank you for that commentary. Usually, we focus too much on the negativity in the Internet, and we forget that there is also a lot of kindness! I will return making videos!
@@gamecitizen So awesome to hear that! Quality RO content is what was missing and you do it really well. It’s clear that many of RO fans are now in their productive years, including me, and being busy with work and family having something to go to when you don’t have much time to login and play as you used to helps to reignite the joy from the game.
they do this back and forth. iRO is supposed to be international but when they open a server somewhere, it somehow becomes region locked. if that region server closes they migrate the players. and when another opens they migrate again.
Well, they didn't migrate the European players when the old European server closed.

Hard to answer that question. I suggest trying an official server, which will vary depending on where you live or whether you want to use VPN. There are some private servers, but all that I were familiar shut down recently. Ask on Reddit, they might help you there too.
If you wanna play on SEA server, i recommend BearMMO

is there a southeast asia/australia/oceanic server that speaks english amongst the official servers? i am looking for a server to play on but my ping is very bad to the iRO server because I am in aus
I don't think there is a South Asian server where most people speak English. :/
42:24 I feel sad to see a world so big and so little explored, increasing the xp in some of them, or bringing new items to monsters would perhaps be an important alternative even for the replayability
Exactly! Such a big map, but nowadays most of it is a no-man's-land...
last i've played 2016/17, iRO have this spotlight event which rotate around certain high level region like Juno, Rachel, Vein, Hugel etc, change every month i guest..but it's iRO need to be blame, they so far back to kRO patch when i last played..party play with friend and some bounty quest, manage to max 175/60..now is 185/65 i've heard..they have turn-in event to help fast leveling too..
I am looking for the most relaxing, chilled MMO and easy to play. Is Ragnarok Online the best? It should have a calming soundtrack. Ragnarok Online or MapleStory or Mabinogi or Tibia?
I recommend Ragnarok, but, for complete newbies, there is a lot to learn right at the beginning

Yeah, their website is a bit tricky. I recommend using different web browsers, and, if in an ip blocked country, using VPN.

Yeah, it really depends on the VPN. NordVPN works very well for me playing on iRO, but when I play on the Brazilian server, Surfshark worked better.

i'm stil not over NovaRO dying, trying to find a good enough server
I will be honest, though Nova had its problems, the management team was far better than all managements teams of the official servers. I think that, with time, a new private server will emerge as strong as Nova was!
GGH/Philipine is dying(last cek 1 week ago), coz many bots, PC now days u can playing RO up to 4 login even without VGA card "bots" Make item cheaper but yeah make server dying also(why official always got bots?)
In the Brazilian official server, they use EAC, which really got rid of all bots. But they have only started using it a few years ago, so the damage to the economy is already irreversible.

There are definitely some Germans in iRO. However, given the ip block, I'm doubtful about the size of the German population there. There is the European official server, which I've been testing and should be my next video. The population in that server is much smaller than iRO, but there are many Germans there.
