Born and raised there but too many out of towners moved in and I left,,,,,so glad I did,,,,it was a great little town at one time,,,,not so much anymore,,,,it's not affordable at all and the housing is very expensive there,,,,it's typical California living,,,,

I stayed in Pennsylvania for two years and drove all the way to California. My first stop in California is Gilroy. In Gilroy, my car windows was smashed first time in my lifetime. Lost my backpack, macbook, wallet... I know I should be more careful and avoid put anything visible in my car. But no doubt, Gilroy taught me a lesson.

Passed through Gilroy some 30 years ago. My impression of the town was one of commercial gunk, ugly signage. I found nothing attractive.
