I. miss. The. Wild. Reeds. Please come back!
Y’all are awesome. Thank you. Cannae wait to see what the future holds in store for you 🥰
I love this band! 1st saw them live stream on AudioTree. Knocked me out. Great feeling in their songs and they can rock out too. Some wonderful guitar playing. All of them can play very well.
This version of Play it Safe is so good.
😲 this band is great, I think I have watch all its videos in UA-cam, time well spent.
first time hearing them. I like it a lot. wonderful sound.
Found these girls on WMOT.org in Nashville yesterday 4/22/2020. Love the introspective songwriting. Great drummer! Great drummer! Great drummer! Stand out track for me is "Play It Safe", which is the track I heard on my car radio. I thought this was a '60's cover reminiscent of Terry Jaxx's "Seasons In The Sun." But I found myself in new lyrics and a comfortable/familiar melody. Great lyrics: Let the story out a little at a time.
Lead singer on this reminds me of Shawn Colvin somewhat, which is a good thing, a very good thing.
Best intro line of the video:: "The irony is the day after I wrote this, I found a grey hair." Very new to this group, I apologize for not knowing names, details, etc. Great songwriting.
Play It Safe
Don't wish lightly on a star
No matter how lucky you think you are
Because dreams, they do come true
Even the bad ones do
Don't wish lightly on a star
Don't think about him too much
There's a reason why they call it a crush
You know thoughts are like balloons
You can cut 'em loose, don't you think of him too much
You know what they say about playin' it safe
If you're not livin' on the edge, you're taking up too much space
My mama told me if you blink
You can miss the whole damn thing
Because no one sees a dream once it turns reality
You miss it if you blink
If only I could come undone
Then I could give you all my love
But I can't look you in the eye, say I'm not afraid to try
Come see me if you want
You know what they say about playin' it safe
If you're not livin' on the edge, you're taking up too much space
The best people were mistakes conceived in the back of a Chevrolet
So you pour some love on your pain
You don't get to choose sunshine over rain
Tell me now,
Where would I be if I played it safe?
New to me. Energy, passion, honesty. I like it.
