Nono, just thunderbarges have nearly 0 power in autoresolve. I've built once a stack of them 17 thunderbarges, lord and heroes. Gone to kill some empire troops, but autoresolve said me crushing defeat, lol. I've laughed and gone into manual battle and easily obliterated em, taking a 5-15% damage on each of thunderbarges. After the enemy retreat, I had attacked once again and see what? PYRHIC VICTORY AGAINST 1 CANNON OUT OF 4, 17 PISTOLIERS, HALF-A-UNITNOF SPEARMEN AND 15 OUTRIDERS. that was their all forces left. 4 nearly dead units versus my entire thunderbarge dawi airforce at its finest. And autoresolve sayd me, that I will loose about 13 of them lol. That sh1t is bugged, man
I wonder if it has to do with the only flying trait. So the ai only sees your small amount of land based units in the auto resolve. Because the ai thinks if it just takes out your land units it’s a insta defeat because barges can’t land. Or maybe I’m just over thinking how the auto resolve works lol. I just see trends on occasion.
Wouldn’t be a bad idea to have some form of anti large in the army. But the problem with this army setup is that I have nothing to hold the line long enough for irondrakes. Once in combat they are pretty much done. At least both thunders can put up a fight. Worth to test out though!
@@muddfam2529 iron drakes themself (flame thrower version) are pretty much the frontline, about 4 of them can hold a full stack of elite infantry with raw dps, just stagger them and put shotgun thunderers behind them to knock back anything get too close. shotgun thunderer are better antilarge than trollhammer btw

better switch the normal thunderers to irondrake btw

@@alexxu3004 Ah I see, I was thinking of trollhammers. The flammers I think would perform very well. Would be very fun to watch too!
@@muddfam2529 indeed, just watch the enemy melt
Watching you suicide a thunderbarge by having him use his speed ability wasn't funny, i t was just sad.
I’m gonna be honest… I did not see the damage per second, I only saw the speed and turn speed.
