That's beautiful, beautiful! I have already seen english longbows; tatar, turk, mongolian horse bows; inuit cable-backed bows; north american horn bows... But it is always so, so hard to find traditional south american archery... I can know about the history of all these peoples, but I can't find about the history of my own! I would love to see someone making an Amazonian bow with stone tools! Spitting the palm was probably done with stone or wooden wedges, while the tapering with sharp flint :)
Una pregunta: por qué motivo las flechas son tan largas? Normalmente se dejan 2" a la apertura completa,aquí veo 20"se dejan,prácticamente como una lance. La flecha tan larga tendrá más peso, más impacto a corta distancia,pero a cambio menor capacidad volatil
Great question, that I ask to Jonas. He told me about 200 mars but its effective range will vary depending on the strength of each bow. But I think that between 40 to 60 mars depending on each archer skill. Unfortunately I have not time to test in on the spot.
