When I used this course a year ago it was one of the most effective courses. A huge eye opener to me, some of the things he taught need to get spread to all students. Thank you Bill Perkins!

My art school only scratched the surface of this and focused more on writing essays on art instead of actually learning how to make art. Once again, youtube comes to the rescue. Thanks :)

I study to be a designer at an art-college and I think composition is as important to me as it is to painter. But my teacher never talks about it. So, I don't have any lessons of the composition. Thank you Bill Perkins for this lection аnd sorry for my language because it's not my native language.

Creative Authenticity is excellent. This is the book that really changed my outlook and pushed me forward to explore my creativity with less fear and inhibition. Thank you as always Ian.

Excellent teaching from Bill. My only criticism is, at about 1 hour, reference of what he is drawing is not shown. Total waste of time of his explanation without seeing what he is doing in response to reference. Question for New Masters: When you sign up for New Masters would you see Bills drawing a little clearer (I am old and cannot see these light marks) and would reference be shown?

At the 1:00 mark Bill used some hidden image to demo his ideas. But we do not get the see the source image, only his drawing. Very confusing.

Video cuts in the middle to NMA logo at 17:00. Does the lesson end or is there more on the website? Total time of the lecture seems to be the same 2,5 hours.

Sounds like they are asking you to do thumbnails sketches to experiment with different composition. Outside of that I have no idea what “Compositional experiments” are. I did a video on Facebook where I analyzed an Alma Thomas painting call the Kiss. It was brilliant. I’ll upload it to UA-cam for you.
