  • A VERY thorough step by step explanation on how to set up a Tentipi Sarir 9 CP Nordic TiPi Tent with an Inner-Tent. I explain the purpose of all the features of the tent in clear detail so you can see exactly how it all works! NOW WITH 50% LESS BABBLING!!!
One of this video's many great features making it SO effective as an educational tool is laser-drilled holes. It doesn't matter if it doesn't make sense; all you have to focus your minds on are the words... LASER!.......DRILLED!.......HOLES!......BAMMM!!! and that's why it works better than the rest!!!!!
    Enjoy!

Fabulous instruction video. Pegs in the right place and which cord goes where is essential and others do not explain so well. Thank you so much.

Great review, the plastic thing is a Toggle which is a short rod of wood or plastic sewn to one side of a coat or other garment, pushed through a hole or loop on the other side and twisted so as to act as a fastener. 😀

Awesome. I found your video while looking for a better way to pitch my own cheaper tipi. I think you may have sold me on this one for the future!

AWESOME! You'll Enjoy it! I've bought a Safir 5 since making that video as the Safir 9 is only good for car camping (or winter camping if you pull it through the snow on a sled). I was pleasantly surprised to find that even the Safir 5 is quite comfortable big. Still heavy though but at least I can pull it on a Mono Walker www.monowalker.com/index.php/en/ I recommend using a Nor Tent collapsible wood burning stove www.nortent.no/en/?product=nortent-collapsible-stove But the best non-collapsible (but heavy and bulky) titanium stove is made in Minnesota by Four Dog fourdog.com/ So how do you like it now that you have one?

youtodd100 Cool.. I’ve got a Tentipi 5 since years back and I’ve just bought a 9. I’m using the 5 if I’m alone or during winter. The 9 will work excellent with 3 people or more for hunting/fishing etc near the car/atv. Thanx for the video.

youtodd100 I see you have the Four Dog Stove as well. Excellent stove and perfect choice if you’re pulling a sledge during winter as I do too.
Thumbs up and greetings from Sweden.

Thank-you for this video it's easily the most informative and clear video I found, way better than the tentipi information which assumes a prior level of knowledge that as a first timer I didn't have.

Great instructive video - thank you. I have just purchased the Safir 7, but am as yet undecided on buying the inner. I'm guessing you've used yours a fair bit by now - was it worth it to get the inner tent? And can you fit the drying rail without using one?

Would you say that the 9 size is overkill for a sometimes solo hunter? I go with one buddy most the times and sometimes up to 3-4 guys. But some trips will be solo. It’s in the backcountry but wieght shouldn’t be much of a issue as I will be using packgoats to help with the wieght thanks!

What height stove do you need? As it looks pretty tall

How much do you like the inner tent in Winter? Is there a huge difference using it without the inner tent?

The best tentipi instructions by far, thank you. No one else seems to explain the tipis groundsheet preparation. Simple when you know how, huh! It’d be great if you did a vid for the porch...Question for @youtodd100, are you still using the tentipi? If so how are you finding it?Thanks again for a great video.

I've only used it twice as I'm working a ton of overtime and not camping and enjoying life in an attempt to get out of debt. It's been GREAT FUN the 2 times I've used it though! I recommend using a four-dog titanium stove with it or a NorTent stove. www.nortent.no/en/?product=nortent-collapsible-stove I shall use it more this winter!

    • @youtodd100
      @youtodd100  6 років тому

The stakes came with the tent. And the tent is sold here in the U.S. at Mansfield Outdoors www.mansfieldoutdoors.com/
Fire Fox gives me trouble when trying to view it so here's more info: Mansfield Outdoors - 425-501-7512, 4807 Martin Drive, Clinton, WA 98236, or feel free to email below. tom@mansfieldoutdoors.com

Jeez these things take forever to set up and no way it would survive the wind here in Wyoming. Cool tent though for the right situation.

they only take about 5 minutes to set up and can withstand very high winds. Tipis were pretty common in America once I hear!

If you'd like to donate to the Save-The-Todd-Foundation you can buy a 10-pack of my fire starters at www.sparknstart.com But I have to caution you, they only burn for 12 minutes tops (and not 15 minutes). I'm having quality control problems as I'm just starting out.
