I think people underestimate how much skill this actually takes to pull off. The micro in the beginning to get the borrow up and not immediately killed while losing all your peons is way too much for the average player. It's just that Grubby makes it look easy.
Any cheese is easier to execute than to counter it but if your opponent knows how to counter it then you are in trouble. This is how cheeses work. Tower rush isn't an exception. Though, of course, with Grubby's skill it looks way easier than it would be if it was played by an average player.
@@ZEFSIDE666 idk for real but based on what Grubby said just don't buy into the ponzi scheme, so I guess go t2 and mortars while defending with your towers and/or creeping if possible
Are we witnessing Grubby's sanity fade away, while he is trying all of these crazier and crazier strategies ?(To not say retarded) - Love the content again ! Keep it up !
Grubby you are absolutely on fire lately! That burrow analogy really hit home, too. You don't have to even tell me, I already know someone, some time, tried to sell you Lyoness XD
4:40 That deadpan "Opponent must have a lot of fun' is almost on the same level as: "Protoss is most skilled race, arbiter warp require a lot of skill." You sir are a true master of speech.
I know you explained why pro players spam rally.. but you manually clicking the peons to go to the gold mine at the beginning always SENDS me lol. Keep it up grubbs
Yeah, burrows have a bit less range and lower attack speed, but they deal more damage per hit, have more HP and more armor :P Their true downside is that they require peons in order to shoot.
1:40 if you micro with 4 peons, do you earn money like with 5 peons? And does this work with human workers too? So at begin Nobody should imidiaetly should invest 5 peons into mine but more into wood without the need to fill goldmine?
People dont counterattack enough. First game elf should have made AoW close to your base and attack your base with archers. You didnt even have barracks. The control over his left side of the base was all you had. I dont get why people get fixated in attacking fortified positions instead of quickly countering as soon as the battle for their own base goes wrong.
I got mixed up in your channels and honestly thought that thumbnail was representing undead or Fane from Divinity 2. Like what the heck... Entertaining as always, ty Grubby!
When the video poped : "cool, someone resisted to burrow rush for 19:31 min or maybe won it". After watching "Arf, just two games combo in melon's camouflage". As a proud insignificant member of your watchers syndicate, i urgently ask you to do it in grubby skin, to see how it works at top level ! ✊✊✊
You know the moment when you realize that the way you're supposed to be playing your favorite games is not the way you wanted to play them? When warfare becomes building literal turrets inside the enemy base to out firepower their own turrets, it's no longer the game you pictured it to be. When building becomes a mechanic for units to disappear from the map, becoming effectively untargetable, the way the game is played changes tremendously. There is no slow buildup of resources and manpower anymore. It's more about abusing funny video game logic to outmaneuver the opponent on a micro level. It's a lot different than the epic battles I fantasized about when I was younger. Playing at this level is no longer about simulating a war campaign, but abusing the boundaries of the game engine and all it's functions.
Personally I've been enjoying these videos, but the way you've described it really hits hard when I think about another favourite game of mine - Chivalry: Medieval Warfare. In that game, there's a way you "want" to play it, but then there's also an "exploit" where you use the hammer weapon, start and overhead attack while crouching and looking down right in front of an opponent, effectively performing an unblockable instant kill attack.
Since you did this Starcraft 2’s Marine Bunker rush, could you also do other Starcraft 2 standard/cheese plays? I’d been wanting to request for a Baneling Drop twist, wherein if you’re facing against Human/Orcs you’ll drop your Zappers using Zepeline in their Gold Mine over and over again.
As much as I've enjoyed your content the past 5 years or so, the last month or two has been a masterclass.
thats so true, been loving the cheese strats and solo hero matches, that walking dead match was fun too
@@MaloureTVand the tower rushes
So true
I am genuinely surprised that the last guy didn't rage and was having fun.
Edit: corrected a typo.
Respect to opponent 2 for good sportsmanship.
nevermind the burrow ponzi schemes, grubby is an expert warcraft russian impersonator.
Litteraly what i thought, professional acting as an average russian player in chat
The strat of the people
I hope Dmitry will have nice games in the future after going through that )))

Grubby without a doubt has the most entertaining WC3 matches I've ever watched. Thank you.

So the unbelievable response was the cool attitude of the player not the counter tower rush
mad respect for Dmitry
I was waiting for him to upgrade to a halls of the dead in your base lol

That why it's called burrows.
OUCH, not even a GG, somebody's butthurt by the pure CHADNESS of Grubster

"Consent additional peons"
I don't think any peons consented for this.
(I know it's "can send". Potatos, potahtoes.)
what is more annoying than being towerrushed ?

Pillaging peons FTW. Would a troll priest be good vs UD, for dispelling their summons? I always enjoy a good cheesy burrow rush. GG Grubby.

How does cancel building work for refund in WC3? Is it 75% like sc2?
Yeah, an opportunity to get active early, and also way the game is meant to be played. The soothing sound of constant firing.
Why would one rage while cheesed? This is just another strategy, player should be able to counter it!
im just curious didnt wtii do this first?
Alcohollights attacking?
Command dimitry
gg indeed, very entertaining
the burrow rush looks fun tbf. now gotta do the same thing but just borrows no towers lol!
