She's also reliant on drawing her support cards, which all are not worth including in a deck because it's too slow or expensive (plus, one is ephemerals so goodbye board presence). Her power gain triggers when she attacks, so you have to make her a scout unit with field promotion wich is extremely awkward. I think rally works better for Gwen as shown on the trailer.
Tough nexus means leveled Gwen drains nothing because it's one damage multiple times. I want to see a Gwen/Hecarim deck to pump Hec up with Hallowed and take 3x rally 3x Cataclysm from Demacia to stack it multiple times in one turn. Would be funny.

Post upload Mobalytics did update, and there are 2 more cards that weren't covered in the video. Conductor of the Mists, and another husk unit. Great content as always, keep up the great work!
In addition my first ideas of deck combinations w/ Gwen were Illaoi with massive hyperscaling tentacle, or Renekton w/ same lvl up condition and additional tools to enhance Gwen's interaction. If only they weren't both 4 cost units XD
You missed a card that was posted on the LoR instagram page, its a 3 mana 4/2 that has last breath: create a ghostly band in hand. Also a shadow isles husk that has fearsome.
14:58 Mogwai, I feel in this case 3|1 state line for early game with this keyword is quite good. I mean, you WANT the Hallowed followers to be slain so you can profit about it. Just saying
While it's true, you prefer him to die from trading with unit. Having 1 HP, it die to any ping so it can be awkward. But, it's still a great card and he needed to have a downside for having fearsome this early.
There was just one other card revealed on Mobalytics once these cards finally made it up there, but it's just the Shadow Isles Husk unit (Haunted Huske) which predictably enough grants Fearsome. No biggie. I just wonder what the Bandle City one is going to be?
As a Shyvana main, Gwen looks insanely fun to play. I haven't played LoR in a while but I think Gwen might single handedly restore my interest in the game. I can't wait to play her!
2 predictions, The 1 mana 2/1 hallowed is going to be the new strongest 1 drop. Hallowed doesn't need to be super invested into to pay off, it's super easy to splash and is likely going to be splashed for good units like Daybreak is. Gwen Tybaulk looks funny
At first I thought that you needed to be Hallowed to get the buff (like Lurk) but if you don't need it having the 1 drop is just free value for the whole game
Uno de los campeones más espectaculares visualmente tanto en el lol como en lor, un saludo desde España. (Pd: Evelin es un darking que son una serie de demonios de los cuales solo conocemos confirmados hasta ahora a aatrox, varus , eveling y kayn)
Also, I could think of a Kalista / Eternal Dancer synergy. Eternal Dancer can revive an ephemeral Kalista through Hallowed attack boost (Eternal Dancer's effect isn't limited to adepts), and Kalista can revive an Eternal Dancer if it's your strongest dead adept. That could skyrocket the Hallowed effect. The only question is : would the revived unit revive another unit? (Revived Eternal Dancer would probably not be able to pull a lvled Kalista though : not enough attack)
Also, unlike Kalista, Eternal Dancer is not limited to one resurection per round. So you could revive a Tiana Crownguard and dance eternally... Or rather until your dancer or the opponent's nexus gives out !
Hey Mogwai! Great work casting today! I have a deck idea/challenge for ya. Lord Broadmane + Mega Inferno Boom deck. With Swain, Tybaulk and Lightning Rush why not.. Enjoy!
Hallow, the Gwen drain, and Eternal Dancers synergize sooooo well with rally. Obviously Hallow will continue to happen each time you attack for the rest of the game but the actual buff to the attack only lasts until the end of the round. So attack once, get the hallow buff on your 1st unit and gwen and have eternal dancers pull up a unit > rally > attack again getting double hallow buff and having Eternal Dancers pull out a unit again. Not to mention you'd get the Gwen drain twice and the second one would be hugeeee
Very hyped for the next expansion, really happy with the direction the game is going as well, especially after what the designers did with the last patch. On a side note: that thumbnail tho xD had me dying when I noticed it
Gwen looks like she'll synergize with so many things. She could synergize with Kai'Sa a little. Get the Hallowed key word from a unit on Kai and she get's beefy from the hallowed key word every time she attacks. You get the added bonus of some combat tricks in shurima like shaped stone or sand trap, and instant removal from Shadow Isles with Vengeance. Heck if you have both Gwen and Kai leveled on the board when they attack they'd probably just eat the Nexus alive between their abilities. Lol put Gwen with Darius to make him hit for a lot of damage, if you can keep him alive. /s
I think the boisterous host is an amazing one drop for any SI deck since it could give a plus 1 stat throughout the whole game. It might become a staple like the 2 birds(omen hawk and chime bird)
I am thinking Gwen/Kindred would be good. The death effects to launch Kindred into controlling the board, plus the buffing from Hallowed to boost up Kindred as well as be the win con. Super excited to try it out
Hey @megamogwai using the letter "K" is way more consistent than using spacebar. And you can even use "J" and "L" to rewind and fast forward by 10 seconds. Spacebar sometimes doesn't work when you haven't clicked on the video player yet.
If hallowed works with free attacks (which it should), it would make for some interesting Blade Dance deck. And since Gwen doesn't have to attack to get the buff herself, attacking with a couple of blades and then with your main attack will have stacked up her attack niceley. Which, in her leveled form, can mean a LOT of drain!
Hallow Ionia with Shadow Flare to Ephemeral a bunch of your Hallow units at once, give Zed the power buff, and if you're feeling saucy, Syncopation to swap your buffed attacker with another unit down the line, preferably an unblocked Hallow unit. ...Actually, maybe make it Gwen/Irelia. Your first Blade every Blade Dance benefits from Hallow, and then levelled Irelia can take the buff and swap to an unblocked lane all on her own...
I am kind of looking forward to and a bit scared of Gwen Noxus. Ruined Reckoner is an absolute MvP in a hallowed deck and goes infinite with the Dancers. Giving hallowed units overwhelm seems also really powerful and getting reputation online was never easier. Combine that with Survival Skills and you potentially have a very scary deck on your hands that can go infinite starting turn 6. edit: also yeah Eve will be a runeterra champion, I would be surprised if she wasnt, she literally roams around and tortures people. I hope she is some kind of nightfall-runeterra champ, that would be cool imo and somewhat fitting for her lorewise, maybe combine it with vulnerable (see: ahri charm).
So interesting thing to keep in mind, unlike lurk, this hallow keyword doesn’t require the first attacking unit to be a hallow unit. Which means, bard Gwen will be a thing.
Hahahahahha yeaah that thumbnails is so funny, i alrd got a good laugh before i watch your video, then in the video when gwen using her scissors with your reaction, xdxdxd
Gwen feels like she can go into a lot of regions which is something I really like. I personally built four: Gwen/Lucian, Gwen/Darius, Gwen/Renekton, and Gwen/Udyr. Of course all my decks have one copy of The Harrowing because multiple flipped Gwens draining the nexus for 20 hp late game is hilarious.
Even her package can be played outside of her archetype. For exemple Hecarim will love 3 mana spell that summon Ephemeral and the 3 mana Follower that give you a Ephemeral. T1 & T2 will have home on many aggresive SI Deck. And Eternal Dancer could enable many combo with her ability.

You missed a card that was posted on the LoR instagram page, its a 3 mana 4/2 that has last breath: create a ghostly band in hand. Also a shadow isles husk that has fearsome.
AAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAAHAHHAHAHAHAAHHABABABA THE FACT THAT I SAW THE FIRST THUMBNAIL
That thumbnail's a nightmare fuel. Thanks!
Refreshes UA-cam.
"Oh, the Mogwai reaction video. Lets see how-"
Sees the thumbnail.
Stops.
"He can't hurt me here...right?"
Anyone Just loves the Artstyle of this Set?
I like your thumbnail man it is so intimating.🤣🤘
Damn you Miguel 🤣 "Scissor lady"? Really? I was enjoying my pasta and now it's all over my keyboard 🤣
Epic thumbnail & memeable . Love it👌
BArd Gwen deck OTK question mark ?🤔🤔
this thumbnail 😂 you’re amazing mogwai
Snnuy mentioned that if hallowed dancers revuves the fallen reckoner then you go infinite and that sounds hilarious
2 predictions,
The 1 mana 2/1 hallowed is going to be the new strongest 1 drop.
@@MarioFRC32 The reveal shows Lucian getting the hallowed buff
Uno de los campeones más espectaculares visualmente tanto en el lol como en lor, un saludo desde España.
(Pd: Evelin es un darking que son una serie de demonios de los cuales solo conocemos confirmados hasta ahora a aatrox, varus , eveling y kayn)
The miniature is absolutely legendary, I hope we will get it again for the Gwen decks
Paramour means lover, so that guy is Gwen's special guy
Could Hallowed work well with "Out Of The Way" (temporary buffs become permanent)? Gwen's attack would skyrocket, making her drain absolutely insane.
10:58 i love how you react and one second later you say "not meta defining" to avoid giga gromp 2.0 :D
Hey Mogwai! Great work casting today! I have a deck idea/challenge for ya. Lord Broadmane + Mega Inferno Boom deck. With Swain, Tybaulk and Lightning Rush why not.. Enjoy!
She looks extremely flexible with a lot of funny combos! Cant wait to see what happens!
On a side note: that thumbnail tho xD had me dying when I noticed it
"And now the spacebar works😎"
*Presses the spacebar and things go wrong*
"Oh shit 😶"
Lmao
I love her. I’ll be maining her so much. Without the doubt my fav champ in the game
Im so much looking foward to play Viego/Gwen, its gonna so fun
Eternal dancers anivia sounds juicy. You can keep on adding anivia to your feild every time you attack
Super excited to try it out
The thumbnail is *chef's kiss*
This is definitely the champion I'm looking forward to play with the most...
UNDYING decks are coming back! I'm looking forward to it.
Hey @megamogwai using the letter "K" is way more consistent than using spacebar. And you can even use "J" and "L" to rewind and fast forward by 10 seconds. Spacebar sometimes doesn't work when you haven't clicked on the video player yet.
Definitely going to try Gwen Nasus with that Champ Spell
Best thumbnails on UA-cam my dude
If hallowed works with free attacks (which it should), it would make for some interesting Blade Dance deck. And since Gwen doesn't have to attack to get the buff herself, attacking with a couple of blades and then with your main attack will have stacked up her attack niceley. Which, in her leveled form, can mean a LOT of drain!
Imagine how much Gwen can snowball with blade dance.
Love the idea but she only scales while attacking so i don't think it works that way.
She only grows with hallowed units, and even then the blades obliterate themselves, they don't die
Never really wanna jump on playing new champs immediately, but this Gwen package is intriguing
Came for the video, stayed for the thumbnail.
S tier face in the thumbnail
And assuming the Husks are Evelyn's cards shes likely to be Runeterrra champion cos the Husks are all different regions
Paramour is in short a secret lover
The thumbnail is everything 😂
I can already see that we get a plague of Elusive Decks with Hallowed maybe Zed and Gwen
Im gonna predict. Zed and gwen with elusive gonna be a thing just simply hollowed gonna buffed the hell out zed or any elusive on most left
Tanktop Douche wielding scissors is very menacing. Thx mogwai
GREAT THUMBNAIL!!
Gotta love the thumbnail photo man
Top 5 Reaction Thumbnails ever
1:59
Mogwai: "I thought she was part of the KDA group..."
Riot: WRITE THAT DOWN WRITE THAT DOWN
Gwen with They Who Endure will be pretty sick......... since hallowed and sacrificing hallowed unit will give a lot of stats to They Who Endure..
Gwen overwhelm. Rally dosent guarantee nexus dmg. Overwhelm on buffed units + Gwen Nexus drain = GG thx for playing.
this thumbnail is gonna keep me awake for days
The thumbnail is hilarious 😂
Gwen cutting the nexus like a paper is so satisfying jeez💀
So interesting thing to keep in mind, unlike lurk, this hallow keyword doesn’t require the first attacking unit to be a hallow unit. Which means, bard Gwen will be a thing.
The thumbnail lol 😆
Hahahahahha yeaah that thumbnails is so funny, i alrd got a good laugh before i watch your video, then in the video when gwen using her scissors with your reaction, xdxdxd
Thumbnail is God tier
