OMG tysm for doing this, ive been considering buying from pocamarket for a while but have heard abt all the fees and wasn't sure if it was in my budget, so its really helpful to see an in depth breakdown like this!!
Thank you for the extensive breakdown. I was bombarded with ads for Pocamarket's Black Friday sale today and I wanted to learn more about them. The service itself sounds helpful, but the fact that that buyers are forced to charge a wallet rather than just pay directly with a credit card bothers me. I think I might use Pocamarket as part of GO, but not as an individual.
What a really really good video ~ I’ve been using Pocamarket for about a year and a half now and I love it but I use some little tricks to help me out. I tend to try to stick to photocards under the €3 mark so that way my fees are only €1 and therefore a lot cheaper compared to some of the other ones. I love their filters as I can just use the under €1 mark to find all of them. I also love the fact that unlike buyee or any other service there isn’t a time limit in how much you can store. I currently have almost 500 photocards in my collection!! Regarding the shipping, I like to play the waiting game as during the years they will have certain special offers of coupons that make it cheaper! During Christmas and Black Friday especially! Instead of spending €40-50 on shipping I ended up spending €20!! I think it has its ups and down but it depends on the person regarding if I’d recommend it or not.
I’ve looked into Pocamarket before but hadn’t bought anything yet, other than the wallet and fees it seems like a quick and easy way to get a lot of the cards you’re searching for! Thank you for the guide and the review! That other comment about the fake cards scared me, though, and I also don’t like that Pocamarket doesn’t allow refunds… Hopefully all the ones you got are real 😭🙏
I'm glad it was helpful! About the fake cards, I honestly feel like you shouldn't be too worried. That was the first that I had heard about them selling fake cards and I did find the thread that the other commentor was talking about and it was about like a $600 fake card 💀💀 and I would personally never buy a card for that much for through a site like this, so I think you'd probably be in the clear. Obviously good to be cautious, but it also greatly hurts their brand integrity to sell fake cards regularly when they actively promote that they are 100% authentic~~
personally i dont find the fees as annoying if you only buy a couple cards at a time, im sure they rly hurt when buying 40 cards at once. but currently im loading a little bit of money every paycheck and slowly building towards the 40 limit. i find it wayy too convenient to not use. i also have been using mercari US and i feel like the fees on there compare with pocamarket. say like $4 for a pc plus mercari's fees, plus $1 -ish for shipping...the average is about the same. except i think pocamarket is a lottt more reliable than mercari sellers
also you can save on the processing fee if you ship out less cards. im pretty sure the math works itself out so that you're not necessarily "saving" a ton of money, but for example, if you send out 20 cards instead, the processing fee is $9.90, so its technically less money that you have to spend at once
I guess I'm so spoiled with Neokyo/Buyee where I can buy a whole bundle sets of cards and only have to pay like $2 proxy fee. Like getting 10 cards and paying so little in fees is what dreams are made of for me, lol. So, in that sense, it makes pocamarket feel quite pricey comparatively. Especially too when every function feels like it costs money to use. I can see how though if you use US mercari that it could be comparable. I haven't used US mercari much as I've had not so great experiences with sellers on there, and so it is my LAST option if I'm ever looking for something. I'm glad that for your collection though it's a good experience!! 👌✨️
I used pocamarket about 2 years ago and managed to get some cards I was needing to complete collections for pretty reasonable prices but then they added in more fees (hate that it's not a fixed fee per card/transaction) and their member pricing is awful too. I definitely prefer buying from mercari japan or even bunjang especially if I am able to buy sets rather than individual pcs
Hello, I would like to know how to get all your stray kids photocards and posters, I'm baby stay, so I don't know, it's just that I recently saw a video of yours, the video is already old, but I saw that you had, like, all of their photocards. as much as posters so please you would do me a big favor if you responded to my comment I really ask you if you really respond I would appreciate it very much.💗💗🙏☺️
Someone already commented about this! This was actually the first that I had heard and if you look more into it, the person bought a $600 card which yes that is a big blow, but it's also quite sketchy in itself to buy a card of that high of value through a site like this. So while they were "exposed" in a sense, I have not found enough feedback online of it happening regularly or with normal priced cards for it to be too big of a concern yet. If anything, the more expensive priced cards are what are being hit, but again, you should always be cautious when buying from anywhere for a card over like $100. It honestly hasn't deterred me from them, and if I were to use them again, it would be for lower, easy to find cards anyways so im not worried. It also hurts their brand reputation to regularly sell fake cards when they very adamantly advertise what they sell to be authentic.
i appreciate this guide but i would never purchase from them given their fees and the fact they buy cards to stock pile them and resell them. seems very greedy
REALLY?? That's very surprising since they are very firm on their website that everything is 100% authentic and checked over. How did they know they were fake? And it's happened multiple times??
@@straystarlight yes! it was very surprising, but she ordered a seventeen broadcast i also had and we compared cards - hers was def zoomed in a little. there are also a couple of twt threads (can't link bc youtube is flagging me as a bot lol, but user is Kosia228) that shows comparisons of pocamarket cards/real cards.
@@straystarlightdespite all of the fees, i have used them multiple times for certain groups and i have never received fake cards.. i have gotten fake cards from mercari jpn 😂 but never pocamarket since they verify them…
thank you for this review! (even though this video gave you so much trouble 🫂) i've been curious about pocamarket 'cause i've heard of it, but not much about it, ya know? and hmmm i'm personally not a fan of the wallet system, especially since the way they have it set up seems to guarantee you'll have something left over that you can't get back (and those fees! oof!) their search system looks really promising though! and it's cool that they're actively improving it too (also, personal preference, but i'm not huge on shopping on my phone. and while it looks like they do have a website, it's just the phone UI cramped in like one-third of the window so . . .) thanks again! and i really commend your transparency ✨
Yeah, the website basically just being the app version was odd to me too. I too prefer website shopping, so I wonder if that's an update they've eventually address? 🤔 I'm glad the transparency was helpful!! 🫶🏻🫶🏻

i’ve previously bought from pocamarket but this is so helpful! i wish this was released when i purchased a couple months ago 😭
oo so thankful for finding this video! i’ve been considering buying from pocamarket but i wasn’t sure

I was literally looking into buying from pocamarket. Perfect timing hehe
I love poca market i love buying from it especially for the groups i stan since they r very cheap
I'm honestly impressed by how cheap some of the cards are listed for 😯😯

Ah okay, that’s a huge relief! I never pay more than around $10 for a photocard anyways, so I wouldn’t end up in that situation either. Thank you! 💖

Tysm for this. I keep seeing them everywhere. This is super helpful since I’ve been debating using this. Omg, so many fees 😢
thank you for this. I have been collecting for about 4 years and I have never used pocamarket. this was very helpful

To get photocards and posters you have to buy their albums
Did you see that they've been exposed for selling fake cards? 😅
