my grandma, great grandma, mom, 2 uncles and 1 aunt had completely disowned me by the time I was about 13, all because I did not believe in their God..So when I heard Pat Condell for the first time, I thought WOW, I wish that I could have said those things to them, It was like hearing myself express everything so perfectly identical to my perception and feelings toward religion, Pat inspires me and makes me feel proud to be an Atheist. & It's good to know that not everyone is delusional.
I am a Muslim and I don't mind ppl criticising Islam harshly or other religions. I like constructive criticism but if insulting religions make you happy please do it. If religions are actually TRUE or GOOD or have eternally good recognizable values then religions should never be " scared" Of criticism. My only problem is that some ppl fail to realize that Islam for example is a huge phenomenon and is not a monolithic religion. We should never get insulted he behalf of God as believers. Why not get corrected By whatever criticism ppl level at us if there is something we can learn from. Religion for me is a spiritual journey and " doubt " is part of that journey. Let us live up oh believers to the promise of our religions let us be as self-accusing as possible and as humble as possible and as contemplative as possible , by this we will overcome the worst in ourselves. I like pat for his honesty eventhough I am a believer.

Just keep in mind that forcing your opinion on people regardless is wrong and close-minded. Just because religious radicals do doesn't mean you should stoop to their level. I would argue that Pat is a credit to people everywhere. He's shown the personal strength (without being propped up by make believe crutches) to cast aside thousands of years of British religious indoctrination and look at the world logically. Religion is an insult to intelligence. Technology and society are held back immeasurably by the mere existence and acknowledgement of religious beliefs/tenets.
I seem to recall that every priest, R.E. teacher and "Christian Brother" whom I encountered as a child told me exactly that. "I am the way, and the truth and the light" etc.
The time is now to denounce all religions. This guy knows what he's talking about. He is a Weslim.
