I'm so grateful for being able to work with Imou! The camera is so good, I know it's an advert but I would never recommend anything I didn't truly love ❤ So if it interests you, definitely consider Imou Wireless Security Camera: www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0CNQ24PLN?maas=maas_adg_D05817750E3A3B8D56DF5D0359AEEC3C_afap_abs&ref_=aa_maas&tag=maas
Joel, when Eva is feelng poorly like that, try giving her some probiotics. Either supplements with her food, and/or (if dairy-tolerant), live greek yogurt, cottage cheese, cheese bits and boiled rice. And, though she may not feel good after a vaccination, it's a good sign that she's having a strong immune reaction to the antigen and building future immunity! PS: Miracle Gro is much cheaper and convenient in solid form (the blue crystals)-- just a spoonful into a watering can, stir, and water away! No leaching worries, as all the water is fertilizer solution.
I think the problem with that dracaena is not that the pot was too big, but that it wasn't getting enough light, so it didn't grow vigorously enough to expand the root system. We shall see, I guess. (It's a low light plant, but still . . . .)
Joel may I suggest getting the pups collars that carry an air tag. That way if they go missing you can track them. We have one for our dog and it’s just feels like a bit of insurance in case he takes off.
Yay, he's back! I don't mind Joel not vlogging in Florida. I'm sure he needed the rest, and I prefer the weekly vlogs. They are just so relaxing and cozy.
Fruit trees usually take around 5 years to bear fruit and that is if it's planted in the ground. Just because it has flowers doesn't mean it's going to have apples. I'd be surprised if you even get one apple. I know what I'm talking about I planted fruit trees over 30 years ago and at one point had over 20 of them I think I have maybe eight of them left because fruit trees die easily if you don't take great care of them. 😢
Joel, the way you covered Ava's ears while you whispered to the camera about taking her for a walk later on was so endearing. Love seeing you two together!
I would love to have a pooch like Ava. She is so gentle, like she couldn't hurt a fly. She is so quiet too, and not demanding. She is also so adorable looking.
Plants.....always put a small pile of rocks in the bottom first then the dirt and palnt....this allows for drainage and no root rot. All housplant post should have rocks at the bottome. That first plant if you put it outside for the summer it will grow much more quickly.
You’re alive! Lol I’ll be flying to the UK tomorrow and spending time in London, Manchester, and Edinburgh. Any suggestions on must-do things? Food and drink?
I write books online, (cringe I know) and one of them went viral. My first one actually. It had almost 2million reads. I've never felt so validated in my life. Now I've written twelve books, and they've all done...mostly.. well. Glad you've caught the writing bug. I think it goes hand in hand with reading. We absorb words and vomit them out. Like Ava! Happy writing Joel. Best of luck to you on your sit com pitch.
Wow that's amazing!! And it's not cringe at all!!! But I totally get the feeling of people are judging me for doing this (or they don't think I'm capable etc). Yeah, maybe the rekindling of my love for reading has made me do this, I hadn't thought of it like that!
Love your plants. Sweet, sweet Ava. I hope she feels better. I think you need to plant your apple tree in the back yard for it to grow more leaves & flowers. It needs more space for roots & branches to spread out.
Joel, I've always love your channel and you have a great voice and You would be perfect for commercials with lots of explanations! I know you do voice overs but you're perfect for them! When your explaining your new security camera, I was sold!😂😂 your voice is so calm but explain everything crystal clear and it was interesting! This company should do an commercial and you should use this clip as the commercial 😅❤
I use the same fertilizer on my plants. Good stuff. You may need to stake the branches on the apple tree Joel. The apples will be too heavy for the branches to support on their own. The branches need another year of growth to become thick and strong enough to support the fruit. Also pick off most of the fruit on each branch to reduce the weight and produce good sized fruit. As the tree grows in the years ahead it will support more and more fruit.
Looking good Joel! I always wondered how yall keep dogs from opening those doors with those door handles. In America we have knobs. My dogs would open all the doors!
You have talent with your plants. They look very nice. I hope Ava gets well soon. It's no fun having a poor tummy. I'm glad you had a nice trip and it's good seeing you back.😊❤
I love seeing how excited you get about your plants and books, one of my best friends really loves plants as well. Also, I think it’s technically still called a burglary even if Keegan did leave the door unlocked. In my criminology class we learned that it can still be a burglary as long as it’s some kind of structure that has a door but the door doesn’t necessarily have to be locked at the time it’s burglarized. But hopefully the new camera will capture any movement if anything like that happens again. :-) I hope Ava is feeling better now 💖🐾💓 my dogs both had to get shots the other day too and they were really tired after.🐾❤️
Welcome home, you look like you got a bit more color this trip and Ava is so happy you are home. Glad the family was able to spend some time together in Florida, it's hard once you become adults, but it's important. Love the book club you've joined, they really are handsome books. Sorry Keegan's car got broken into, but yea for Fletcher who thought something was up. Your plants are happy and growing, it's all good. Thanks for the update Joel, and hope you and Keegan have a great week!❤️👍
I loved this video and I am seriously thinking about buying that security camera. It really is affordable. Thank you for doing a vlog...missed you. Hope Ava gets to feeling better ❤
Joel I think you need 2 apple trees to get fruit . Or you can try to pollinate the tree yourself you can look that info up . Love how you have got into plants , they are so calming for me . ❤
Welcome back! Joel, I have a tree like that as well that I got as a tiny little thing, and now she is 3 feet tall. I would always water them like you do and give them a good soak. Someone told me instead to water a little in the soil so it doesn't dry out, but water them mainly through their drainage tray that the pot sits in. I always thought the drainage trays were to catch excess water, but I tried it, and my plants love it. So I just water my plants in their trays. Once the tray is filled with water, I wait to see how fast the water is absorbed by the plant and repeat the process until the water isn't absorbed so quickly. My plants have started thriving since then. My Christmas Cactus even started shooting off new tendrils after watering it this way.
Enjoyed the video,Joel. Hope Ava is herself now. She is a cutie!! Thanks for the info on the Imou camera. I'm going to look into that myself. Especially since its wireless. That's amazing that you were walking in a hail storm even though it was 'small hail". In the middle of the states now we are having severe weather and hail stones as big as tennis balls.
Welcome back! That was a very slick move at the end, moving from the shot of you in the car to editor Joel. Nice editing! I love your fancy books subscription. Please keep sharing those with us. I hope Ava is feeling all better by now!
😂 Greetings from coastal Mississippi and Twelve Oaks plantation. Thanks for the life update. Yes , Spring has arrived here. At my plantation, l will be hosting our annual Magnolia Ball Cottillion Debutante Gala. ❤😂🎉
Hi Joel, I like the idea of tracking my activities. I am going on a new adventure today as a voice-over. Yes, spring has come to Moscow, Russia, and is lovely,
Busy Busy! Coming back from vacations always seem like that don't they? I love it when you show us how the plants are doing! 😂 I know that's random, but I'm a plant Mom and have a container garden outside of my tiny cabin on the hill. Always love a good catch up! Always ❤
What a treat, a long and packed vlog. Yay for all your progress with the sitcom, and can't wait to hear what you think of that locked library couple of books too. A subscription to that would make such a great gift for a reader I know who enjoys similar books. Your plants are looking great. Yay apples. Poor Ava. I hate getting shots too and always feel yuk for a couple days. Thanks again for always taking us along, so glad you got great time with family in FL. Cheers , Joel.
Hello Joel!! Glad your back, missed your videos! Love seeing all your plants. I don't want to make assumptions, but when you get Ava the treat at the coffee shop is it real dairy?? Almost all dogs and cats are Lactose intolorant. It could give Ava an upset tummy.
Yay, vlogs are back! Love a good catchup. I’m a plant daddy too, and you’re right, you do need to do your research if you want them to thrive! Glad Ava is doing better, give her a big hug from me! ❤
Welcome home and glad that you had a fantastic time with your family in Florida. Just thought I would let you and your followers know that the camera shown on here is not available on Amazon in the US, not sure if it is anywhere else in the US. It is of course available on the UK Amazon website but is unavailable to ship to the US 😞. A little side note. LOVED your video of the airboat trip in FL!!! I hope you have a great week ahead Joel. Love from Tennessee.
❤❤🥰🥰 You deserve sometime Off from work/ youtube! 👋 👋 welcome back! I Love going to Florida! I used to live in SC but I moved to NE, miss living the south!
I'm so sad because as far as I can tell the locked library doesn't shop to the U.S. Those look like beautiful books and I would love something like that.
Hi Joel, your friend Cherry opened her new shop yesterday (the 27th) The Lost Cauldron in Matlock. Maybe you could do a vlog & show us around. Thanks Diane
Hi Diane I actually went o the VIP opening last weekend. I filmed it for my members page but maybe if you’re interested I could go back and do it for everyone!
@@TheJoelWood Yes, I would love to see your take on everything. I’ve been watching all these months to see the progression on getting the shop up & running. Thanks. Diane
lol the apple tree reminds me of the TV show "Newton's Apple" from PBS, the American equivalent of the BBC, a science education show that was inspired by the apple falling on Issac Newton (likely apocryphal legend) that was on when I was a kid, late 80s....you're probably a bit too young to remember and it may not have crossed the Atlantic. The dog is silly and cute 🙂
Years ago, I lived on the outskirts of a small town, and we never locked our car doors. One day I went to take my son somewhere and saw all my compartments open in my car. Someone took all my change (not a big deal), but they also took a GPS I got for Christmas a few months previously and my son's bicycle that he left on the front porch that he got for Christmas too because he didn't put it in the side shed. I was livid that happened. Who takes a child's bike? I was a single mom and couldn't afford to buy him a new one. The only gratification I had when they took the GPS was they didn't see a small hidden compartment that had the charger for it. Scumbags. That camera looks nice, and it covers your neighbor across the street too. I hope you don't have any more issues, but if they did it once, they will try it again.

LOL when you mentioned "not listening to your dad". both I and my partner are nurses. my parents think I am the village idiot, but the partners parents think I am a genius. and the opposite is true....my parents think HE's a genius, and his parents think he's the village idiot. for your next plant baby, try a jade plant.
Hey! We have a motion sensored camera with a flood light over our garage. I figure if someone is creeping around and the light comes on it will scare them off.
That happened where we are in the northeast near durham people trying cardoor handles, little rats, thankfully caught them on the driveway camera & the police came & arrested them
I started a small collection of houseplants, however I'm gradually losing the love for them - when you get a pest like spider mites, they are just such a pain to try and keep on top of and get ride off, it's quite depressing :(
Do you ever wash your plants in the shower, or that just me and @darcyandjer? Opportunist thefts, always make sure you lock your cars and doors, even in a nice area as that's where they target. My parents had a business (Pub) not too far from you and we got broken in to 3 times (going back 30 years, oops).
Sorry Joel, with an apple tree, you next anothrr apple tree nearby of a different variety to cross pollinate to have apples. The tree will flower, but the blossoms won’t creat any apples! Time for you to get that different variety and place it around no further away than 3 to 5 meters, you certainly can place the trees closer to each other. Good Luck on getting apples next year, not this-
*OK, think it's time for the Keegan and Joel channel to have a discussion.* When you were kids how did you feel when adults thought it was all in your head when you told them something? And, how have you both made it up to reassure Fletcher? Not throwing shade! I just remember what it was like when people thought something was all in MY head... And, I should have let that go years ago! *Otherwise, a great vlog. Thanks for the updates. Yes we've missed you!*
@@TheJoelWood My apologies for misunderstanding. I really did take from the video that he WAS made aware of the doubts. And in my mind it really isn't all that uncommon for parents to discount what a kid says. I think perhaps I heard the doubt that I was given as a kid that so stuck with me in the way you talked about it. And I certainly did not mean it as criticism, if it was taken that way. My comment really was meant to elicit a bit more back and forth on the way some good people don't really hear what a young person tells them...and how it might stick with them. Again, no shade or criticism was intended...
Our little girl loves the vet because she is an attention hog. She barks all the way to the vets but once we get there she is super excited to see everyone.
Approximately 6 months ago I fell asleep in my computer chair and did not know I did not have my downstairs bathroom window locked and somebody opened my window in the bathroom climbed through and fell on the floor and made a racket which woke me up. They were literally no more than 15 ft away from me behind my bathroom door when I screamed get the F out of here I have a gun and they took off out the window but because I'm partially handicapped I could not actually get up to try to do anything. 🤔

Apparently Miracle-Gro Pour and Feed is premixed. I didn't know they made a product like that.
Yep it’s designed to use undiluted!
Just put holes in the existing pot with pebbles at the bottom of the pot.

Hey! We have a motion sensored camera with a flood light over our garage. I figure if someone is creeping around and the light comes on it will scare them off.
Florida here, and I actually had to look up what a balaclava was. I would just call that a ski mask.
That happened where we are in the northeast near durham people trying cardoor handles, little rats, thankfully caught them on the driveway camera & the police came & arrested them
We love Luke Catleugh
I started a small collection of houseplants, however I'm gradually losing the love for them - when you get a pest like spider mites, they are just such a pain to try and keep on top of and get ride off, it's quite depressing :(
Looking cute with the new haircut.
Joel I understand about your car break in ,someone broke my window and my steering wheel column of my car and it took weeks to fix. Not fun at all. 😢
12:00 Oh hello this is a different channel now
Always lock your vehicle!
Your marginata would do better with more light without direct sun.
Good Luck on getting apples next year, not this-
Can it cross pollinate with a neighbors tree by insects?
This tree is self-pollinating! But yes most apple trees need others around. But Gala apples don’t!
Obviously we didn’t say that to Fletcher 😂
4:31 This happened to our dog too and I was so scared.
Dunkin’ Donuts Coffee is the new Pepsi Max lol
Ava is beautiful. What a sweet face
I have plants inside that I am trying to keep alive but I have noticed that there are gnats now. I can't seem to get rid of them.
