And, as well as those traditional time-honoured ‘beside the sea’ pleasures Llanfairfechan is also popular with windsurfers and kitesurfers.

Walkers are also partial to the place. Llanfairfechan grew up on a narrow strip of land backed by steep hillsides. Local walks are both scenic and historic with trails that include stretches of the Roman road that linked bases in Chester and Caernarfon....
Llanfairfechan is a charming Victorian town situated between the Carneddau mountains and the Menai Straits in Conwy County along the North Wales coast.

Llanfairfechan’s lengthy promenade runs along the coast and forms part of the North Wales Path. It takes in the picturesque Victorian multicoloured houses and Pavilion cafe, followed by the boating lake, now home to a family of swans, and numerous outdoor leisure facilities. Heading west from the central seafront facilities, the coast path takes you past a row of Arts & Crafts houses towards Glan Mor Elias nature reserve. A must see for any bird lover.
The local pubs, of which there are 4 serve a selection of beers, ales and even the ever popular Aber Falls Gin.
Heading up through the town, the roads lead you up towards Nant Y Coed nature reserve and the mountains of Snowdonia beyond where a fantastic panoramic view awaits. For history lovers, Llanfairfechan is home to druid circles on the hill tops which can be reached via the North Wales Path.
