The Steepest Slabs I Have Ever Ridden! | Millstone Hill and Bennachie MTB

- Welcome to Millstone Hill and Bennachie. These natural MTB trails are found in Aberdeenshire, very close to the Pitfichie MTB trails. This video was shot in day 2 of our Pitfichie mountain biking adventure. We were being toured by Clark from Bennachie bikes. On day 1 we rode the Pitfichie trails. On day 2 we rode our bikes on Millstone Hill and Bennachie.
The stand out for me had to be a trail called Medical Marijuana. It had some of the steepest slabs I have ever ridden. The GoPro did not do the trails justice. The slabs were easily at about 45 degrees. Thankfully, like the Pitfichie MTB trails, they were made of granite which is super grippy. I cannot wait to get back there and ride them again. This was my backyard for 10 years, stunning place to live and ride. Amazing to see all the new trails coming out and Aberdeenshire finally being recognised for the world class riding it has. The descent straight south off Mither Tap is a tech masterpiece followed by the walkers path that heads south off the top of Millstone.

I rode Big Baw for the first time a couple of weeks back so describing a trail as being like BB on steroids I can’t even begin to think how tough it was 😂😂

@@bigstoozeradventures 🤣 Mate, don't worry about it. People are always going to hate, for a whole load of reasons. At the end of the day they normally represent less than 1% of the viewers. I can live with that... and hope they don't come back. What I do think would be better would be if you could see who unliked the vids. I bet people wouldn't be as negative if there name was up there!

I would like to file a complaint regarding your channel. Before I started watching I was just a regular guy who cruised down the trails with only my thoughts and birdsong to accompany me. But now I shout "YOOOOOOOOO" whenever I hit a feature 😂

Well done mate,Bennachie is full on,Weird watching others ride it and seeing how "FLAT" it looks when we know it AIN'T!! Clarks a top bloke,he saved my trip by trying to bleed my Magura brake for over an hour till it was useable

@@streetpigeonmtb That Supernova trail is one of the worst thing ive ever ridden,Was super techy but hard to get flow,rock slabs with wheel height drop offs but couldnt run at speed to proper drop them so front wheel was just dropping off then ye were flinging yer weight behind the back wheel to stop going over the bars

Jamie, these trails look ace. We were at Aberfeldy yesterday and it was so slick. The 3rd quarter of Top of the World was like riding on porridge, or what I imagine it would be, it was insane. 🤙I think we need a wee trip to Aberdeenshire.

Me and 2 mates watched your New York New York video sat in the van in Innerleithen on Saturday then went and rode it… I know full we’ll go-pro doesn’t show the gradient but never guessed it was that steep in parts.
Anyway… enjoyed this one and thanks for the the insight from Saturday 👍
