Welcome to our walk along Beira-Mar Norte Avenue in Florianópolis!
Beira-Mar Norte is one of the main landmarks of the capital of Santa Catarina, built on reclaimed land in the 1960s. This major engineering project transformed the former “Praia de Fora” into a valued urban area full of attractions.
In the 1980s, the avenue was expanded to include new traffic lanes, local roads, a boardwalk, and a bike path, giving Beira-Mar Norte the modern look we see today.
Besides being an important traffic route, it is a meeting point for locals and tourists, offering spaces for walking, running, cycling, and much more.
