      @@allthingsarcheryandshootin9380 Sir..My DL is 28 "almost to 29", before this I only used 600 spine+ 80 or 100grn break off point they fly and grouping very well and accurate, my bow DW is around 30lbs to 40lbs, is it suitable if I use 700 spine? I have never used 700 spine before..

    I have about three dozen Sharrow arrows same exact size carbon fiber & one dozen were fiberglass 500 spine 100 grain field tip & I have ordered them from wish for as low as $2.50 ea. only difference is mine are all 3" plastic vanes. I use them and Musen arrows of the exact same size for most of my shooting, and I love them. My Storm carbon arrows at $6.25 ea are not a whole heck of a lot better, so I go the cheaper route myself. I do think some people are not happy with anything unless they spend an arm & a leg for it ... but of course there are the times where you get what you pay for ... good video Todd, god bless ya!

    How easy was it to remove the insert? A lot of those Chinese arrows have the insert super-glued in.

      Not that hard the trick is to use heat, screw on a large field point heat just the field point point up avoiding adding heat directly to the carbon shaft and use a pair of pliers to pull on the heated field point and the insert and field point we come out of the carbon shaft . The trick is not to add heat directly to the carbon shaft only the firld point..

      I hate using heat to remove inserts. Here's a good trick that works every time for me. Remove the nock and slide a drill bit into the shaft. Swing the arrow in a long downward movement towards the floor. It may take a few swings before the insert falls off. Direct it towards carpet flooring and make sure you unscrew the tip first.

    How is the FOC percentage calculated? Would 18% mean that the front half is 18% heavier than the back half? Is the percentage a distance, like how far forward the center of mass is? Just curious. Nice video, those are some fancy arrows :)

    • @allthingsarcheryandshootin9380
      @allthingsarcheryandshootin9380  3 роки тому +1

      FOC simply means more weight is forward of the center point of the shaft, it helps with accuracy, flight and penetration.
      There is a formula to use that you can figure your FOC out for your arrows. I like between 18 and 22 percent FOC myself. If you like email me and I will send you the formula to figure out your FOC and some sites you can goto that can explain it a whole lot better than I can...

      Most of us appreciate the correct matching of bow with arrow types and what is called the"perfect posture" by both club tutors and online professionals.
      However this helps most most, I've seen archers use what seems a ridiculous, almost impossible matching of bow and arrow with great results.
      Also some hysterically, entertaining and weird stances and poses Imaginable hitting super well.
      These would even make Robin Hood and his merry men wet their pants with laughter 😂😂
      My point being, the most Important factor is what works the best for you.

    i dont think they are carbon, i think they are mixed, part carbon part fiberglass. you can tell if you remove a nock or insert, if you see any white they are not all carbon, also if you square you ends you will see some white dust on the sandpaper, carbon is always black.

    Your arrows are flopping up and down. When they hit the target if they were not flopping they would not vibrate up and down. Not sure how to correct it but when my arrows hit they do not flop or vibrate. It is not the quality of the arrow. It is arrow/bow setup.
