    Brilliant stuff. Very few put their Cayennes in the dirt.

      More and more people are starting to off road them as they become cheaper. It’s surprising how the trend is growing once you start to look.

    Good fun video to watch.
    I thought all the cayennes came with rear and centre locks. I know the rear was optional in Oz on most toerags, except the v10 that got it as standard.

    • @hsvh3hummer942
      @hsvh3hummer942  2 роки тому +2

      Thanks Mark,
      Yes all early Cayennes have central diff locks and true low range, but unfortunately finding them with a diff lock is rear. I believe later models lose the low range but gain diff locks. Either way the are more capable than people give them credit for.

      They tend to understeer in the wet if push hard but otherwise handle well for an off road tyre. Definitely can not push as hard as a quality road tyre though.

    • @hsvh3hummer942
      @hsvh3hummer942  2 роки тому +1

      If you want to run 33’s or larger then none turbo is easier as you don’t have to relocate the two front intercoolers but other than that the will perform the same off road.

    • @hsvh3hummer942
      @hsvh3hummer942  3 роки тому +1

      Great question and most would say the grand Cherokee. The reason for that is they don’t know enough about the Porsche platform. As a capable tourer the Cayenne has it all and with the addition of a winch will get you anywhere you want to go. The downside is there is not the full after market parts supply you get with Jeep so most parts you have to either modify or make from scratch. That said there is a growing trend for early Cayenne off roading so parts are becoming more readily available. There are even examples running 37” tyres and twin lockers so it’s all doable if you desire. Good luck with your choice

    • @hsvh3hummer942
      @hsvh3hummer942  2 роки тому +1

      @@borataser1854 yes low range and central diff lock. However the central diff lock only lock the the drive from the transfer case to being a 50/50 split front to back. It does not lock the front or rear differentials at all. Front and rear locking differentials where available factory option. However as most people purchasing them new never intended to go off road they were hardly ever opted making used Cayennes with diff locks extremely rare.
