- NYC: Exploring new galleries, lunch at the Odeon, shopping in Soho and more…
It’s rare that I get to explore a new gallery space, but since it’s a new year it’s only fitting that I visit some spaces that either just opened this month, or opened in the second half of last year. For example, I was really excited to see that Ruttkowski;68 has now opened a project space in Tribeca…they’re one of my favorite galleries to see in Paris, and now I can see them all the time in New York!
Details about everything mentioned can be found below.

You have become a work of art yourself with your video's
You have introduced me to a new way of thinking about my art . Your tours are fabulous and inspiring .
@@derekdeljohnson7922 When do you show your art? Please
@@BOKRUA I'm just enjoying and learning my art atm . I'm not as yet up to scratch but your video's are fabulous such relaxing and truly inspiring . A big thank you .
I really liked your selection of shows, esp. Emma Kohlmann, Volker Hüller, and Jana Schröder, Thanks for your work.

Distinct graphic calligraphy with excellent color palette, both restrained & vibrant all at once... great work
Awesome
Thank you again for these visits, I could not enjoy them without your videos ❤❤❤❤❤
Glad you like them!
Love your show. Cheers
I read: 'you stole my style and now your style is mine' it could be happen every where. Your videos opens my mind, thank you and say hello from Yogyakarta, Indonesia
Omg I love The Laughing Man Coffee Shop! You've found my spot! Great video as well btw. Keep up the good work.
Very reassuring to see new spaces and showing painting too. I liked the phrase you used emphasizing the connection between 'the act of painting' and 'the act of seeing'. The Shroder paintings speaking boldly.
Thought I saw one egg 🥚 with the chips (English) and everyone knows it has to be two.
Quite liked the Huller show at Grimm. Atmospheric and very well thought out and crafted. I've always had an affinity for this type of cubistic/ Paul Klee visual space. I live in a cubist painting.
Super enjoyable! 😊
Love it ❤
The first show was so Matisse
Very Nice Mary.
Thank You.
I really enjoyed your video and subscribed . I was not interested in contemporary art up until this very moment but your style and voice kidnapped me . Thank you for the experience
Thank you. I love everything on this trip. And my taste is picky unfortunately. It's 2:20AM in L.A. and now I'm hungry watching the great dishes you enjoyed.
Very well done 💯
Great video
Planning a trip to NY to see family in May. Been looking for galleries to check out while there.
💙💙💙
Holaaa, 🙏🏼 gracias por tu presentación, es de motivación para los artistas que están gestando su propuesta más apropiada acuerdo al tiempo, lugar y circunstancia.👍🏼👌🏼
Hello from Brasil, very good can look galleries in NYC, references for my job.
Muchas gracias, acabo de descubrir tu página, estoy maravillado ya que puedo disfrutar de galerías de arte moderno sin salir de casa, también agradecerte la música con la que acompañas las imágenes. Estamos agradecido por tu trabajo.
AMAZING
thank you.
Very much love your videos..! But it seems so many wall paintings? Which I love also by the way.. and (very little sculpture works..)?
Awesome video and introduction. I am the parent of a young, talented, and passionate artist. This opens my door on how to help my daughter to pursue her dream. Thank you.
You are so welcome!
Very nich video~! Thank you for sharing this 👍
konnichiwa, Leonora Carrington
Thank you from korea! 😊
Super ❤️
Hello… Is there a “gallery season” in NYC? I want to come to NY and do a weekend gallery crawl, but looking for the best time to come. Thanks.
The Odeon - don't forget American Psycho. Actually, it was never in American Psycho, but you'd be sure it was. Great video. You so easily make me feel like I am on a stroll through my home.
👏👏👏
Excelente 🤟🏻
You do such a beautiful job on these videos. I love your informed commentary and
enjoyed a visit to NYC. (I live in New Mexico) How do you manage to find such
quiet gallery areas? Do you begin early in the mornings? Thanks for sharing these galleries and your thoughts and impressions. Your work is important and it is clear how much effort you place in each of your videos. Thank you! x
Agreed. These videos are so informative and so important. Most of us can't go to New York or London or Los Angeles etc.
Art Galleries in NYC are very rarely crowded except at opening receptions. Museums are usually packed in the daytime. Commercial galleries not nearly so much.
@@jameswarhol442 I live just outside Santa Fe and am at various galleries during weekdays. When I've been there, there are always five to l0 people in there with me - quite crowded for a small gallery.
👍👍
Beautiful
I noticed you blurred out some of the other people in the video. I haven't seen you do that before. I can kind of understand it but why did you blur out one of the paintings in the later part of the video too?
❤️
Funny my gallery is called new gallery. 79 shows so far. 🥂
It looks all intuition driven.
odeon is great ballatos on houston is my favorite italian and tomo for sushi on thompson
🙏❤️😍
Yes I agree I can see Matisse rehashed
🙏
Last one was the best...the others just didn't sing to me. You know this kind of stuff is very expensive and if you don't love love love it there's no point. There's an awful lot of hype in the New York art scene tbh
New galleries👍👍,New art 😝..🙈
👍
the facade of the art galleries seem more interesting than the paintings inside of them...
😍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Nice beautiful
Gapjin art
Thank you so much
Дякую!
ME PARECIO MEJOR EL ULTIMO MUSEO CON ESAS PLAS SOBRE PUESTAS Y CREANDO UN MUNDO VISUAL DIFERENTE DE LA NATURALEZA
I don't mean to whine or be mean, but you yourself look better than all those paintings.
May nam prakash from India
We begin with warmed over and prettified Matisse and Klee, and George Grosz. Yikes.
Painting appearing exceptionally dead these days, deader than ever.
Oh the obligatory drink in hand .. Audrey Hepburn much? Lost me in first ten seconds.
Most of today’s painters are just parroting what’s been done….
I wouldn't say parroting but they're taking something that came before and putting their own stamp on it. Obviously some are more successful than others. And some are just decorative painters who get high prices foe a client who needs something to hang above their sofa.
As a painter, I agree 💯
Making new connections with what already exists :)
Nothing new under the sun yani
@@jameswarhol442 good for them. Obviously people like it!
Your emphasis, on the words 'coal, and burned' sounds racist
A lot of contrived pretensious art.
Not impressed.
👏👏👏
