If Captain Marvel was called “Shazam”, then when somebody asked him what was his name he would return into Billy Batson’s form, and his identity would be discovered, or even worse, if he was in the middle of a fight, then his powers would be gone until he said again Shazam, and that would take some various time.

Well I think Shazam is a much better super hero name than Captain Marvel. Much more iconic. Newer comic books usually fix this by making him need to say the word and mean it. So if he just says Shazam nothing happens, he needs to want to transform as well

For my birthday, my godfamily took me to the movies and I told them that I wanted to watch Shazam, but they choose to watch a Mexican movie with English subtitles. And today my mom took me to the movies but before we went, we had to pick up my grandparents and drop them off at the casino and we still had at least 20 minutes before the next Shazam showing. So my mom decided to go visit this fashion boutique next to the casino. but she started to look around and when we had 10 minutes before the movie started , she decided try on a dress and and look around more and purchase a shirt and skirt and talk with the person running the boutique. AND SHE MADE US LATE FOR SHAZAM! So we ended up watching Little. It's was a good movie but still. WHYYYYY MOM , WHYYYYY?! 😥😥😥😥

Apparently, the design was made to show Billy Batson's innocents, since the original concept of the character was that he is pure of heart, though later versions of the character seem to drop the design due to both a more realistic setting and the whole idea of billy being pure of heart being dropped.

To me, Tara Strong voicing Billy Batson is really eerie.

Personally, I still wish that the name of "Captain Marvel" should belong to the "SHAZAM!" franchise. After all, as much as I have great admiration and respect for Marvel Comics, that comic book and entertainment empire had made a big mistake in taking that name for their superhero in the past until the recent film from either 2018 or 2019. Other than that, I also had mixed feelings about the new "SHAZAM!" movie from 2019 and I am not sure about seeing it someday on TV or on video.
