What I did was Grand Entrance was Bachata, then my choreographer slips the chair behind me as my damas and chambelans exit from the dance floor to the ceremony. I was crowned by my mom, received my last doll from my little sister, and then the changing of the shoe. After that it was the father daughter dance, and at the end of our dance my dad twirled me out and away from him and bowed towards me symbolizing my "presentation of a young woman" and me taking on the independence that comes with coming of age. After that my choreographer/announcer had the chair brought back and surprised me with my dad singing to me, and then my uncle. After that we started the vals, and then brindis. There was a short pause after the brindis for me to go cut the cake for everyone and for the court and I too change. We finally did the surprise dance, and then we partied after that
Wow! I did my order completely different! the way I did it just made a lot of sense for some reason but first I did my grand entrance! My chambelanes got presented first then I did! I choreographed my grand entrance and it ended with the positioned for the beginning of my Vals principal! After my Vals principal I did el baile de mi ultima muñeca and then I did my ramo! After my ramo I did my changing of shoes and coronation! After my coronation I did my mother/daughter dance witch lead into my Vals familiar and after I choreographed a Vals for my brindis and speech at the same time and after my brindis I had my Vals de salida! In total I had 6 valses! And of course I did my 15 minute long surprise dance! :) best day ever
Lupe Perez That sounds amazing! Yes every quince is different and it does depend on choreography : ) This is a sample guide but I love how yours sounds! I will have to make a part 2 to this video! : )
I wrote down the order of events just like you are presenting in this video. My question: in what moment can we start dinner, toast, and cake cutting in between your order of events? great video!
+leticiadefontanez Hello! Thank you for watching!! The dinner should begin before the vals (example dinner 4-6 the the show starts) You don't want people eating or being served during the waltz and traditions. The toast will take place when the parents present the quinceanera and the cake cutting should be done after the quinceanera is done the surprise dance and changes back into her dress! This will allow her to start enjoying her dance! Thanks again!! XOXO
Hello, for my daughters Quince; the crowning and esclava and necklace and ring will be done at the mass on site at the reception hall. then dinner then the waltz and traditions. Would you suggest having my daughter take off her jewelry and crown and then re-do it at the time if the traditions and waltz or skip it at the time of traditions and waltz since it has already been done?
okay question, my motherly figures are gone and have been divorced would my aunt be able to do the crowning? also, for the presentation again my mother is no longer with me and my father only is again is this okay for him to only walk me around?
+larissa webb meow ;3 Yes of course your aunt can crown you and it is definitely ok for your dad to present you. Thank you for asking me! I hope you have an amazing quince!
Can you do a video on what to do instead of a father daughter dance or how to deal with not having a dad @ your Quince? I mean I have a dad him & my mom are just not in good places rn and he isn't coming. I feel like that will impact my party a lot
You can also have a dance with your older or younger brother if you have one. That's what I'm going to do because I feel like my brother deserves it ☺️💖
Hello! If a quinceañera's dad is not in the picture then you can choose to dance with your mom, uncle, padrino, cousin, or a someone who is like a father figure to you
Why have you cut most of this video? I feel like I'm missing information because you kept talking but suddenly stopped and went to the next thing. I'm trying to learn about all the traditions because it's not my heritage, and my Brazilian husband is a typical man who doesn't know the specifics of it.

I want to know more about quinceañeros. so replay me if you want to help me please. I count my place. glass tables and Tiffany chairs and lights. any advise also help. P. S a new subscriber

Gisselle Arzola what if your dad died? (Or you don’t have a dad living with you anymore or you don’t even know who he is?) I’d have my padrinos give it to me or my mom
Just a head's up. I know everyone has been calling it a "quinceanera" however this is grammatically incorrect. This is like saying you are attending a "party girl". The word quinceanera refers to the girl, not the event. The event is called a "Quince". In addition, traditionally, the girl comes in with the tiara, she does not get crowned, this is not a coronation or a beauty pageant. I am sorry but I feel that if you are going to give advice on the subject you have to do a little research and not necessarily because it is common does it make it correct.
Actually "we" latinos refer to it as a quinceañera because we speak texmex.... quinceañera party (fiesta de Quince años)is full term but as we like to cut things short its now known as quinceañera period. And in regards to the crown. The quinceañera wears a hair piece to church not a crown (some use a small tiara) but the Crowning event during reception shares same symbolism as the changing of the shoes and the doll. An important staple in event to oversee. Just saying....

I don’t think you actually know much about it because it is called a quinceañera
@clauivy1 hi for the jewelry I have seen that the padrinos get it blessed from the father and they are given to the quinceañera at the party hall.
