Welcome to another flight review in two cabin classes. This flight was operated using the Boeing 787-8 before switching to the Boeing 767-300ER in July 2022, and took 8 hours and 1 minute. Service was warm and friendly, and the cabin crew were pretty welcoming throughout the flight. The seat and the meals in both Business Class and Economy Class were of absolute delight. The inflight entertainment, though not that extensive, was decent to cover the whole flight when one chooses to sleep in the middle of the flight.

Apparently 1700 r/t seems a bit high in 2023 for JAL/ANA on the YVR-Tokyo route; could be wrong though. Having a hard time accepting it’s north of 2000 nowadays assuming SGD=CAD.

In actual fact, the SGD 1,700 r/t ticket that I paid for was between Singapore and Vancouver with a stop in Tokyo. Sorry if I wasn't clear in the video. But yes, I've heard that a r/t flight between Asia and North America (particularly Vancouver) on Japanese airlines are more expensive than before, which got my parents to look for other Asian airlines.

JL18 must have had an aircraft change that day cos JL18/17 to YVR is only ever served by the horrible B767-300ER. I really wish JL would put a 787 permenantly on this route.
