I think we all need more humanism in this world. People are naturally good regardless of religion. I don't like it when people say that Muslims are bad, like trump claims them to be. People are always trying to do good for others, and Muslims are no different.

myrduck I'm just sharing the gospel. First of all, the gospel begins with God. God created us in his image, for his glory and to have a loving relationship with Him. God loves us, he gives us free will to follow him, or to not follow him. All of us have sinned against God, we have all like sheep, gone our own way. We have chose something else meaningful to us, in our life to replace God. God is holy, he must punish sin otherwise he's not a holy God. It's no different than a judge, sentencing someone to prison. Even if the person being judged, would bring up all the good deeds he has done. It still doesn't pay for his crimes. So if God were to judge us, we would all be guilty. But God is rich in mercy, he sent his only begotten Son Jesus. To die on the cross for our sins, Jesus took the punishment you and I deserve. All you have to do, to receive salvation is by repenting of your sins. And believe in the gospel, that Jesus died on the cross for you. And God rose Him on the third day, I encourage you to read the gospel of Matthew God bless you!

Islam teaches us to feed the poor , needy and the hungry. "And they give food inspite of love for it to the needy and the orphan and the captive, saying we feed you only for the sake of Allah. We do not desire any reward or thanks from you" (Quran) chapter 76-verses 8-9..
"Righteous are those who fulfill (their) vows and stay away from evil. And they offer food to the needy, the orphan and the captive. (Saying): “We feed you for the sake of Allah alone; we wish for neither reward nor gratitude from you.” Surely, Allah will protect the righteous and grant them radiance and happiness." - Verses 76:7-11
It's okay. What matters most is the giver is sincere and the receiver is not hungry. Islam teaches human beings to help people, the orphans, the poor, feed them as you feed yourself, give them proper clothes as you gave yourself. "A Muslim is not a Muslim if his stomach is full when going to sleep, but his neighbour is hungry." --A lesson from Prophet Muhammad(pbuh).
Islam teaches us humanity and to be kind to others without this the door of Heaven will be shut for us. Proud to be a Muslim.
