    I don't center, I marked an equal distance from the left side on both zippers, and that's where I start sewing the fabric. It seems to be more accurate for me than it was working from the center. SO happy about basting my zippers to the backing.

    Is there a video or instructions adding the grosgrain ribbon to the cut side? TY

    I have this product and love it. I find the center of the backing top and bottom match the pins together making sure the backing is falling straight. Stitch from the center out on both sides. Love Love them.

    Loved this video! Just what I was looking for! I did baste it to the cut edge and I just winged it. I will try your method next time. Thank you 😊

    Hi! Quick question--I just watched your video on putting binding on on the longarm. You didn't say what size you cut your binding at. I loved the video!!!

      Hi Judy! I usually use a 2 1/2” binding. I’ve done it with 2 1/4” and it’s a little tight to flip around for my liking.
      Happy Quilting!

    Nicely done ladies!
    I would think that if you need to baste on the cut edge, perhaps starching it first or maybe even a line of stay stitching before basting may help

    Looking forward to trying this. I'm wondering if using a walking foot on the cut edge might eliminate the puckering. I may have to experiment 😊

    I have never seen backing fabric with a printed guide for stitching a 1/4" seam - what brand is this?

    • @angiesanswers91
      @angiesanswers91  7 місяців тому

      I didn’t even notice that! I think this was from Blank fabrics or Studio E. It was 108” wide backing.

    How do you baste on the sides without it puckering as you quilt

      Do you mean once it’s loaded on the longarm? If you have a Glide foot that helps so much!! Then keeping your fingers behind the needle and only your thumb in front of the needle. If you rest your entire hand in front of the needle, you will see it stretch and pucker. Hope that helps!
