JJ and I were classmates in dental school. In those 4 years we became very close. There were 4 of us who studied together for finals. After graduation we all went our separate ways and started our careers. But Jim and I stayed in contact via the telephone in those days. Then often via the internet later on. He was an excellent clinician. He had the respect of all of our classmates. Being Chinese was never an issue. He was just JJ and a good guy. His wife, Ora, was a charming lady who was a nurse as I recall. Watching this documentary is more than impressive. God Bless you Jim...
Interesting to say the least. It is wonderful to hear these heartwarming stories. This is how the Chinese came to America and endured the hardships to be part of the American fabric. More stories should evolve for the younger generation to understand how the Chinese is a part of American history.
Awesome story and excellent narration by a guy who focuses on hard work and opportunity, not victim hood or complaining .
