Was at this show. HR in a motorcycle helmet for 20 minutes before this if I'm not mistaken.
One of my favorite bands of all time thanks for sharing
I’ve seen the Bad Brains and the side band HR, which ripped, all over America and even Mexico. I’ve toked with ‘em and joked with ‘em. They’ll always be one of the greatest bands ever ! Even including this bizarre bad acid trip of a show. I get it. It’s been a long strange trip. Lots of our loved ones didn’t make it all the way. But, the next time my band The Creeps plays and the crowd starts getting on my nerves, I’m going to put on a motorcycle helmet and zone out ! That’s a hilarious freaking move !
Earl coming out from behind the kit to lay down the law.
Harley, is to the right of Darryl, see it in the other recording, when the bridge and tunnel start disrespecting HR.. just quietly starring at them, , they are really disrespectful in the beginning, screaming at him to be their showpony, play it like the itunes
He starts giving them the jijitus look.. no understanding of the presence before them, and the years of work, and changing style.
After they tell him to put the helmet back on a bunch of old school folks flank either side for I & I
Yes I
Thank you for sharing this. I was there.
HR has been batshit crazy since about 1992. Glad I saw them a whole bunch of times before that
I saw them in 1992-3 at The Channel in Boston, Chuck Moseley sang for them.. at that point I was unaware why but as history's shown it's now abundantly clear lol. Still a f*in EXCELLENT show with Sam Black Church and Slapshot in the lineup.
Night and day.
Why,do you think its called nad nrains, cause it's always been about "Jah",man@@KALASgodpills
Saw them at uptown Ritz NYC with quickness tour. Drove in a few hours. One guy driving got beat up buy skinheads and I ended up taking bus home from port authority after sleeping on a roof. good times.
@@DrewYoung-h5j I was at that show!
I saw the LA Hard Rock show of this tour. HR had a guitar prop and stood at the mic quietly speaking the lyrics.
The band were laser beam tight but HR was a stoner casualty as you see here.
This was on my 3rd birthday, wish I knew about them then.
the energy in HR is completely gone so sad
Poor guy has mental issues. I can't say I blame him. As we get older, our bodies and our minds get soft. I hope he is doing better in 2024.
He died.
@@ericrohrer5160 Wrong HR still very much alive.
Folks this i believe is about a week before the Chicago show where D.J. verbally rips H.R. a new one....brothers stick together like glue huh!💝💝💝💝
WHat was he on him about??
@@ryanhale1654 For being the fucking loser that he is. A mentally ill, racist, sexist, religious fanatic hypocrite. I used to see HR in West Baltimore hitting the crack pipe behind trash dumpsters 😂
The Brains live on!
People don't know about hyperviolent types. They can relapse from exposure. I think Earl was just trying to be diplomatic with his request.
HR is mentally ill and can't deal with excitement
really
Stuff would be flying if he got all precious in England .
Next to muder junkies black flag these guys are one of the best hardcore bands
😊
His body may not be gyrating about like it was christmas 1982, but deep down i know good and damn well that H.R. is rendering his best wylie coyote during this particular performance. Now who's got the one with the motorcycle helmet? Charlie brown's teacher- shit man still better than andy kaufman times chris farley any day!
I used to see HR smoking crack behind trash dumpsters in West Baltimore 😂 He was homeless and off his schizophrenia meds and sort of the neighborhood clown.
Steve Sr. Biggie Smalls Sr., My Daddy Jimi Hendrix (Sr.) then (H.R.) Sonny Boy - Stevie Winn (J.R.) & [Hitler III] We In Here
HR is now married to Lori and has had brain surgery this this show.
Hes schizo.
They should've played with S.N.F.U. that night!!!!
UHHHHHH....... what exactly is going on here.? I don't know which part is more confusing, the band or the fact that New Yorkers, My people are acting like they see nothing amiss. It honestly makes me uncomfortable. Seen the badbrains all over the country going back from '87. WTF is going on here? Over,?
They kinda sucked at a 2002 gig in Norfolk. HR is schizo i recently found out.
HR is kinda fucked, had some brain surgery and shit. Still a legend tho.
Where is that attitude?
🤣😆 if you weren't there in the 80s you missed out....at least we still got old footage and their albums to listen to this is cringe and its not H.R fault he moved on we need new bands new blood new material
For real. HR went down the tubes with his drugs and Rasta nonsense and mental illness.
The 82 show is still legendary
Getting a lecture about not slam dancing at a Hardcore show ! The whole band is on eggshells hoping HR keeps it together. This is absolutely the most SAD AND PATHETIC Hardcore show I've ever witnessed. Mental illness effects everybody around the person with the illness. HR should stick to playing reggae at the Local Holiday Inn Lounge. 😥
I used to see HR copping crack and smoking it in alleys in Baltimore 😂 He was living in a abandoned warehouse when he wasn't on tour.
