I just love this lady so much. She exhudes such a graceful and fun attitude with her personality. She seems to really enjoy spending quality fun and relaxing times with others. Her whimsy and tropic vibes in her style with designs at her home and also at the recent Kips Bay decorator’s show house in palm beach. She seems so lovely and would be a fabulous hostess and friend to many people. She was speaking about how she likes to decorate in homage and inspiration from specific homes and gives them appreciation when she’s talking about her designing techniques. What a joy she seems to be.
So lovely and tranquil...I could just feel the breeze and smell the tropical flowers and ocean all the way over here in the Southern California desert. Makes me crave a vacation to the Caribbean. Amanda nailed it with the connotations held by wicker and rattan. I try to always incorporate them into wherever I'm living because they give any nook a relaxing vibe. Same with that beautiful pale mint-meets-seafoam green. I just bought a little table in that color because it makes me feel calmer simply looking at it. The psychology of color is important. Spot on at Hope Hill.
When guests leave she hopes they remember being full of laughter, yummy food and being looked after. She did not even mention her gorgeous interior design or her stunningly beautiful house and that’s surely why she’s the ultimate hostess with the mostest.
I am not worthy! Everything Amanda does is just magic. I study her work with such pleasure. Thank you for featuring her beautiful home. Favorite video yet!!!
Such a lovely home. I wish we were able to see more of it. The video was so focused on the veranda, which is gorgeous, but would love a tour of the kitchen.
My word! I had to look up Hope Hill and does that site ever show what Amanda Lindroth is all about! Impressive to say the least. Living the high life! This featured video had me wondering just how many chairs and places there are to sit! Love her caftan, which too, would be made of the finest material! Thank you for sharing.
Oh just to sit on a veranda like that before I die! The house, it’s finishes and especially the colors as well as the hostess makes my heart happy❤. Thank you for sharing!
Your home is flawless. Thanks for the wonderful tour. My great grandmother immigrated to the United States from the Bahamas around 1913, the scars of the Caribbean slave trade embedded in her DNA. Your reference to Good Hope Plantation in Jamaica -though innocent- evokes painful memories. As grand as the house is/was, it was built by enslaved people who suffered greatly in John Tharp’s unwavering pursuit of money, power and status. Some 224 souls languished there. They were Akan, Ashanti, Yoruba and Ibo, beautiful people with exquisite culture and a rich history. They were forced to perform work Europeans - because of incompetence and/or laziness- wouldn’t do. Good Hope should not be viewed as an architectural marvel. It was a forced labor camp that is a symbol of greed, suffering and unimaginable cruelty.
My dear, the whole of the Caribbean economy was built with slave labour. The English, the French, the Dutch, the Spanish, the Danish - all of them used slaves to built their empires across the world, including the Caribbean. Up to 40% of the trans-Atlantic slave trade ended up in the Caribbean Islands. Every one of the plantations, be it banana, sugar or tobacco, in the Caribbean islands is built with slaves' sweat and blood.
Thank you. She said so much in the coded language. To have lived in a place for 30 years and yet remain so unaware. As a Caribbean person, this was difficult.
@@Redbird_Girl2010 No one but you stated that this woman is responsible for all the injustices in the world. Cute, how you try to silence people from expressing themselves without even realising it--Smh
@@liberatingthemind470BULLYING YOU ARE. Although true, what do you want the lady to do. Start yelling & screaming and going into a distortion about the past? Nothing she can do. Get ride of your rage it will eat you alive. Glad your relative found something better. Lots of bad things happed to many different type people in our History. We are all doing best we can.
I love this house and the colors. I first saw her designs on a Homeworthy video and I loved her blue hand blocked table linens, but now, seeing how nice the pink looks, I may switch. Or, maybe blue and white in the house and the pink and white on the lanai....maybe I can have it all here on the SC Coast.
Why is the annoying bass beat always necessary. I want to listen to the narration and it's just impossible. My mind isn't programmed to always need the hypnotic beat and it's just beyond irritating.
The Bahamas is a dichotomy - rich and White - Black and poor. ALL, without a single exception, homes for White people with money are in gated communities. The regular homes do not look anything like this. This video is actually sad because this is the equivalent of the old southern slave homes in the US.
BLACK BAHAMIAN HERE..... Excuse me!!! You need to do actual research and stop running on with surface level foolishness. What do you know about The Bahamas, and how most people live. Do you even know the demographics of the country throughout its 700 Islands. The Bahamas is categorized as a Small Island Developing State with a strong middle and upper middle class. Yes., there is poverty and downtown is a dump... but if you actually know The Bahamas and have traveled throughout the country than you would not come on here with utter foolishness.
Since I don't know people like her, I have no reason to visit the B or the Caribbean. People I know have no interest in hospitality. it's a sad cultural failing.
The epitome of beauty together with relaxation, class, optimism, the best environment ever and an elegant host
Oh, I love this women, her style and her home, what inspiration!
Thank you for sharing the paint color!! 🥰
I would like to be looked after by Amanda at her lovely home, Hope Hill! Everything looks just beautiful and she seems so gracious and fun.

I don't think this lady was part of what happened there in 1913. She decorates houses and is not responsible for all the injustices in the world.

Stunning house, but I'm distracted by her fantastic ring. Is it an emerald cut aquamarine?

LOVE LOVE LOVE
PERFECT!❤❤
heavenly!
I'm avail for looking after. Love the Messel Green and knicked bougainvillea.
That the life style of one percent of the population. The rest are worried about price of the eggs😂
Absolutely, also taking inspiration from plantations, that I'm sure participated in slavery.
@@deannab9511what a disgusting person with such negative words. Go to another website. We like decoration and design not ranting about past.
delightful
Lovely home
Paradise

Absolutely gorgeous Darling ❤💥💥💋
I wish u my mom ❤
I need to be friends with her!😂
Everything is beautiful but being on an island with blue water, white sand, and swaying palm trees is all I need to be content.
Smile Jesus loves you ❣️

I don't know why, but the interior of this house just misses the mark for me. ??????
No good builders or materials. Go home please!!
One word- gentrification much of the natives live in poverty , but the masters living in palaces.
I'm sorry, is she a slave owner?
Swooning…
