  • This is the last step of finishing process for the cracked ceiling repairs. I didn’t take a sanding video as I was pressed for time and had to get in and out. But not much sanding required after this step. Enjoy and please subscribe and give it a like if you wish to keep learning drywall. I discuss sponge sanding.

Painting contractor here that out of necessity and curiosity had picked up a lot of drywall skills over the years… just
wanted to genuinely thank you for taking the time to create these videos. Loving it, you take the time to properly demonstrate and explain I am so very appreciative

You’re very welcome. I wish I could make more what time is not always on my side.

Another great video Leo! How would you address truss uplift cracks on a 2 yr old house? They vanish in the summer and open in the winter. I built the house for myself, and wanted to let the cracks get as bad as they could before I repair. This winter will be the 3rd winter and I think they've done all they can do. Should I wait until the cracks get to the widest point, pack them and then tape with something that flexes?

Truss lift is a tricky one. Should only happen on interior wall top angles. For angles like that, you can use No Coat in the corners, it will take care of the issue. Grabber 318111 No-Coat Ultraflex 325 Flexible Corner Tape, 100' X 3-1/4" a.co/d/hfJuE1t

@@manwithapan Yes, it’s basically just 3 short interior walls that have them. All down the gut of the house. Thanks for the advice on the tape!

@@LukePitney1991 you can get a smaller size of that product, and it should work perfectly well

You prefer pro form over usg? Can you explain why?

Sorry for late reply. I prefer pro form for quickset muds. It seems to mix faster and it seems more true to time on bag.
