Once again, you never cease to impress me. This song holds the silent anger and determination of Sister Friede, and the desperation of Father Ariandel. Just like the ost.
Most of the time I'm trying to do so but this time it would be too much because I had a lot of other instruments in the mix and I'm not really good at mixing to make so many instruments sound good together. Thanks for the suggestion tho, will try
This cover is by no doubt epic like your others! It's just as I'd imagined and a little more. A recommendation of mine that, in my opinion, would add icing to the cake of this cover would be to edit in Father Ariandel's screams and maybe the dialogue too in specific parts. It could be done with a lot of other bosses as well. Like Ludwig's metal cover with the distorted horse-naes would be badass.
Aww man I’m late to the party, although I have a few Dark Souls 3 song suggestions for you. The Yhorm theme and the Nameless King theme are epic, and since I’ve seen your work on Iron Golem, Sif, and the twin golden boys, I would say they would sound insane with a little bit of your musical touch to them. As said before, I’ve heard your other songs and they are incredible man, keep doing what you do 👍👍
Phase 1 is pretty good, but I didn't really recognize phase 2 and 3 of your cover as familiar. And it's not like I didn't listen to the song a lot back then, took me almost 100 attempts on the first playthrough of the DLC in NG++. I just haven't listened to it in recent time.
That's weird. Melodic breakdown from phase 3 is the first thing I recorded for this cover because for me it's the most memorable and recognizable part.
@@Utamaru56 Phase 1 of the cover was great, because the guitar with higher pitch matches the piano and bells, while the darker one matches the vocals. It was easy to recognize, because the original phase 1 also only had piano, bells and vocals. However phase 2&3 have a lot more going on. Bells again, but no piano and 2 violin groups + 2 vocal groups. I guess it isn't very recognizable in your cover, since you only have drums+2guitars at all times. I think the most recognizable part of phase 2 was the small guitar solo here 3:59 - 4:30, which follows the climax of the original I think.
Hey. It's gonna be hard to make it sound good because I already used some orchestral instruments in my mix so there will be a lot of conflicts between frequencies from lots of different instruments.
@@sir_gort no problem! other thing is that this cover in not really different from the original. I'd rather upload my more original stuff (like orchestral pieces from games made into metal etc)

Thank you! It is truly a wonderful piece of music that holds great atmosphere of desperation. This is why I wanted to cover it so bad.
Best opening boss cutscene ever. Excellent cover
Totally agree. So moody and atmospheric. Thank you!
Epic!
The next is the theme of Gael? xD
Gael's theme is in the to do list, so I'm definitely gonna try to cover it. Not sure if it's gonna be next though
Well done!! Friede is such an amazing and underrated boss in DS3; for me she was the toughest in that game too, even more than Gael or Midir 😅
Some damn fine work, dude! Well done!
It bothers me that you don't have more subs
I'm working on it by making more video :)
This is extremely underrated! So awesome!
DAMMMMN THIS IS THE BEST COVER.

Incredible rendition. As a suggestion, you should try incorporating some of the original choir or symphony to add to the scale of the song

Reminds me of the wolfenstein soundtrack honestly. Good job man keep it up!
Maybe because I like Mick Gordon's work and it influenced my style. Thanks!
One of the best covers i've seen
Fantastic! I would apreciate a gael's theme cover. Stay rockin bro.
I'm late to your uploads as usual... but also, as usual; your stuff is fantastic. Love your work, my man! I'm so proud of how far you've come.
And I'm late to respond to comments as usual, haha. Thank you very much! Couldn't go this far without support from my viewers, including you

Makes me wanna play dark souls again. Awesome cover man!
Thank you! I too started playing ds again after finishing this cover
what's the song on the outro that leads into the next song? @5:24
It's "Existential Dread" from my instrumental album "Utter Greyness". It's on my channel and most of the music distribution services.

@@sephyrias883 Good analysis, I'll try to make my covers more recognizable. Thanks!
why is the second half so slow tempo tho? I really like the part where the theme breaks in half and it becomes all evil (fast pace)
In my covers I wanna stay as close to the original music as possible so I usually try follow original tempo across whole song. I like that part too!
That's great!
Thank you!
First to give a like HERE! I love these dark souls cover
