The CdD figs all seem to be great. Had my first CdD Noir at our fig tasting and it was my favorite. There were only a couple so I'm sure not everyone was able to taste it but I was very impressed. It would probably require a head start here though so not sure I will add it to my collection. You have these in ground? Are you growing any other CdD varieties?
I only have two CdDs - Mutante and Gegantina. Both are in 15G pots and are grown in favorable microclimates without a head start. If you want to ripen a substantial amount of the crop of any lates in the PNW, a head start is advisable.
@@Memyselfandionyoutube - Not very productive for me. I have a difficult time getting a significant main crop on most lates. This would work best in a Zone 9 or above.
Had my first CDD Gegantina a few days ago, your description nailed it. Glad I am growing it!
This fig is something special. Glad we agree on the flavor profile of this gem!
wow that color is amazing!

Kinda cool to have underripe, perfectly ripened and overripe in one video.
This one in ground?

Great review! I just might have to get one. Ugh
Thanks Travis!
Curious, how productive is it? It sounds great but if it only produces 5-10 figs, than it is not worth it to me.

How many days would you guesstimate it takes to go from under ripe state to over ripe state
A guess would be several days.
