What's going on everybody?!? SeanPierceJohnson here again with this week' edition of "Stompbox Saturday"!
TC Electronic is on the menu again this week and on the stompin' block this week is the Echobrain analog delay pedal. This pedal is part of TC's new budget line and can be yours for a mere $60!! Say what?!?!
Get all the gooey, glitchy goodness of an analog bucket brigade echo pedal for under a hundred dollars? Sign me up!
We'll check it out with a sweet Schecter Solo Custom and the Joyo Meteor Bantamp. The Echobrain is running in the FX loop of the Meteor.

The whole product line is awesome. The enclosures are built like tanks. I liked these pedals so much I purchased three of them (Cinders Drive, Echobrain and Rusty Fuzz). I got them Black Friday sale for $130. I think its crazy that people spending more on their effects then there amps.
The Echobrain is an awesome Delay for Basses too !
Just got mine today and it blew me away!

Thank you for posting this. Now days if we could just kick TC in the butt & get them delivering products again. I managed to pull a used one of these out of Buffalo & I'm glad I did. I'm old school for sure & I love Analog
I love analog too! I haven’t been in touch with TC in some time but I will be soon. Like lots of things, supply chain issues are kicking butt and making it difficult to deliver much of anything
Best review so far,I paid 69.99 at Guitar Center and this pedal sounds great.Some say it doesn't have a long enough delay time,but I don't need it.Thanks for the David Gilmore settings!

Nice video! I have two questions: would you suggest this one or the prophet delay? The echobrain could be' a sobstitute of a reverb or we talk of two different things? I started with electric guitar recently...
Hey Stefano! Welcome to the guitar family. So, if you're JUST getting started with pedals I would recommend asking yourself a question first: which style of music do I like?
If you're shooting for more old-school, lo-fi or vibey sounds and tones...go with the Echobrain.
If you're wanting more ambient, long delay and decay times, and hi-fi sounds..get the Prophet.
You could kind of use this to sub out for a reverb but the analog echo isn't going to replace a reverb 100%. Analog delay has a very organic and smudgy sound that lets the repeats die out in a very musical way that fills the empty spaces of your sound. But it's still not reverb.

Couldn’t have said it better
I was looking at deals in the echorec that I wanted for a while but the high prices for them even used had been driving me away. In a search I saw above the one I was going to see if I could ask for it for less, I was like “What’s Echobrain?” So I checked out this and other reviews and now that’s what’s coming in my mail by the end of the week especially because of the far off galaxy in a little brownish box sounds it’s capable of!
I’m guessing it’s a volume sucker thru the loop ie carbon copy. Anytime I see just a cord in front of the amp for a time based review . Pass 😂
