Beautiful cinematography. I appreciate the 4K and the wonderful slo-mo. I know how painstaking that is to put together for a fluid presentation. You're really onto something here.
Thanks so much. Yeah the 4k takes up a ton of space but I think it makes the vids so much better and yes the amount of time to edit these vids with the slomo stuff makes it very time intensive but its worthwhile when I get nice comments like this!
Hey Jon! For your “tough” day, you did pretty well. Beautiful scenery, trout and camera work. Good eyes on noticing that rattler, not something I’d wanna mess with either. Good luck this hunting season. Our early archery deer starts this Saturday. I’m ready, gonna see if can hold out for a nicer buck vs just a legal buck, but I’m gonna try! Thanks for sharing. 👍🏻
Yeah I was thinking the same thing when I was editing it. I think at the time I didn't realize that I caught quite a few but it was a long day of fishing and I missed a bunch some I didn't include in the video. I wasn't expecting the low water with recent rains as well but it turned out to be a really fun day for sure! I have been hanging stands and shooting the bow but still have a few weeks before our opener. Good luck!
Wow water looked great nice a clear to watch your slow motion releases awesome like it a lot and the snake nope I wouldn’t even took a picture of it lol. Great job on this trip and video
My pleasure Curt. One good thing about low water is the fish are concentrated so filming is a little more predictable. Thanks for the comment and appreciate the support!
Thanks Eric, yeah it does take quite a bit of time between the setup and multiple cameras and editing but makes it that much more rewarding when it works out and I catch a few!
Yeah that was a fun day for sure, I want to head back to that stream next season, hopefully without the snake encounter although that was kinda cool. Thanks so much for watching and commenting!
Fished PA all my life and never saw a rattlesnake. Now in my 40's i have grown more leery about it. It's going to happen sooner or later and I will be screaming like a girl.
Haha yeah it was funny to just look up and see one sitting there. It didn't rattle or anything but man it does make you feel a little vulnerable. Since then I have been a little more leery myself. Thanks so much for commenting!
Jon, Looks like you're a long way from the Delaware. Some years ago i had an encounter with a Rattler (black phase) while going into an isolated brook trout stream just like you. I rolled a rock in his his direction hoping to hear the rattle for the first time. I wasn't disappointed. To this day the hair on the back of my neck standing up is a vivid memory and a real warning to keep away. Chris
Thank God for deep holding pools, and cold water, that stream was low. I stayed away from my local blue lines, afraid to take a look. Hoping for steady rain in September to get things kick started.
Yeah it was def low. In spots the creek bed was pretty much dry but there were decent pools for the them to ride out the low water and cold water as well. Thanks for the comment and support!
I agree, I use both of those patterns very ffrequently. Often I fish an attractor but if they miss or refuse Ill throw a small adams or elk hair and that usually does the trick! Thanks for commenting!
you are a true precision caster..I'd be catching too many overhangs in those tight brushy areas. just wish you didnt have to drag those brookies over the rocks once they took the fly. ALSO GLAD you don't name these little productive streams . Keep them😉 secret!
Trust me I catch tons of branches and rocks and sticks and bushes etc. I do try hard not to drag fish but it is tough when filming as I don't want to spook the whole pool so I try to bring them down to me. I will try harder haha but I appreciate your comments!

Awesome video. Looks like the rattlesnake had recently eaten which is why it didn't move.
Good for me then haha. I was surprised how docile it was.

Yeah I stayed well away from the snake, glad I had the zoom lens lol! Thanks!
Small streaming it never gets old! Definitely some gems were caught! Appreciate the share!
No problem my pleasure thanks for the support!
Enjoyed it as always, Jon. Footage was amazing. Thank you for your continued efforts. PA certainly has some awesome spots to explore!

I can respect how much effort all those shots take to get, great video and great fishing
Thanks Eric, yeah it does take quite a bit of time between the setup and multiple cameras and editing but makes it that much more rewarding when it works out and I catch a few!
That was an awesome outing.....great location and some really nice brookies! My kind of stream and fish!

Awesome footage. love PA fishing.
Thanks Randy I am planning on fishing more down this season!
Absolute gem of a stream right there. Another fantastic video Jon!
Thanks Brad, yeah it is a gorgeous stream for sure and wild!
Fantastic video thanks for sharing!
That was a fun day for sure!
Great video. We have some nice places to fish in PA and you captured the feel perfectly!
Thanks! I am impressed with PA so far and can't wait to explore more!
Loving seeing you fish John, you always amaze me with your skill, hoping one day I'll be that good
Thanks so much Erik, honestly if I have any skill I gained it from sheer repetition fishing these small creeks so much! Thanks for comment!
Great video, excellent slo- mo on your casts and releases
Thanks so much!
Great video; beautiful places!
Thanks so much!
Well done. Enjoyed it.
Thanks John!

Chris
Yeah that was definitely a memorable experience for me. Kinda wish I heard the rattle though
Yeah, colder temps and better water flows. Can't wait!
Im with ya!
Ok, wow. The first 1:20 of B-reel was worth the 👍alone! Well done. Talk about skinny water! Do you ever miss?
I miss all the time lol, but thanks so much. I love doing the B Roll stuff so glad to get positive feedbakc!!
Beautiful spot! I’ve seen a rattlesnake once. I did my best to steer clear as well!
Yeah I have heard they are somewhat common in PA but was a first for me, pretty cool, glad I saw him before I was on top of him!
Artwork. We'll done. Thanks
Thanks so much

My son was fly fishing up in Northern PA and came across a rattle snake. I have not yet!! Tightlines!
Thanks, yeah they are fairly common in PA I guess. Very cool to see but glad he was at a safe distance lol!
The snake was poised to strike! A very thick rattlesnake.
It looked big to me!
Jon, awesome video! Nothing like seeing a brookie slurp or crash a dry! Elk hair caddis or adams gets em every time. Keep up the good work brother!

Sir, your camera work is ASTONISHING!!
Is there someone there with you to help, or do you do it all yourself?
From SWPA, thank you for sharing!
It depends. Most of it is self-filmed but occasionally I get some help with big cam! This one I had another person filming with me
What creek is that
I don't name these small wild trout streams sorry
Grays run
Nope
Unfortunately rattlesnakes are just something you have to deal with in that part of Pennsylvania.
Yes I am much more aware now and try to stay vigilant!
nice video! l upload fishing videos in my channel too!
Thanks!
