- Smog and air pollution are major problems around the world, and we know they impact our health. A recent study estimates that toxic air shortens our lives by 20 months on average. That's according to the Health Effects Institute in their latest report on the state of global air quality. Smog and air pollution are now bigger killers than malaria and road accidents - and comparable to smoking.

Majority of the electricity goes to manufacturing industry. Residential usage is very minimal. The correct advice would have been to change the electricity source and regulate the pollution from factories.
Honestly, that so called 'expert' is pathetic.
It's not a matter of how much it shortens our lives. It's a matter of how much it ruins our quality of life while we're living. 💡
Electric vehicles, buses, cars and ships need to come faster.
We all would *benefit from clean air* in the city !
The good thing is that solar power got very cheap recently, it just need more time to replace the dirty sources of power.
Going nuclear is easier, faster, cheaper and greener.

If there was no industrial Revolution.
It is because each human wants to have and spend so huge amount of energy, water, other resources and "essential" things like cars and multiply heavily in the same time.
And because companies make it so you kinda have to. In America they made it so places like suburbs are so spread out for the sole reason as making it more expensive to get there

@@baderralef9122 because drinking water from rivers was so much cleaner. And no, people died in their 30s back in those good old days. Life expectancy grew rapidly throughout the 20th century, and continues to grow in the 21st.
i gotta tell you that in Ulan bator in summer time the air is one of the cleanest on earth

all family to select minimum number of firecrackers category then purchase one piece from each category
and take part to reduce pollution and we can make healthy India.
