Make A Witch's Broom

- This video is a how-to demonstration of making a primitive style broom. Sagegrass, also known as broomsedge is used for the broom straw. This is a very common plant in North America. It could make a good Halloween costume prop or an addition to rustic furnishings for a cabin or hunting lodge...or you could just use your Esmarelda 500 Racing Broom to sweep the floor.
This is the best witches broom I've ever seen...thank you
Thank you, Angela. I am glad you liked the video

May you be blessed as well. Thank you
Your broom/besom really looks terrific and well made. I would be interested in buying one.
Thank you for watching. Unfortunately I work a full time job and these things I do are just hobbies, so I can't make and sell them. I just checked on this channel after about a year and was shocked by the number of views of this video. I would have replied sooner if I had realized your interest in this. Thanks again!
Yes I would buy one too 💖
Love this! ❤️
Thank you for this sir!
You are most welcome. Thank you for watching
This is an awesome broom! Thanks for sharing your techniques. We want to make a brook like this too, though we can't find the sagegrass/broomsedge, so we will probably use broom corn instead. We found a good stick for it and the cording too. I was wondering how you keep the tight tension on your cord? Whatever you use works really well for you. Thank you.
Great video, thank you!
What are you using as a spindle for the twine?
I made the spindle from a small oak log about 8 inches in diameter. I removed the bark and cut a "wide groove" with a chainsaw where the cordage wraps. I finished the spindle with power sander and hand tools. It works pretty well and only costs a little time to make. Thank you for watching and commenting!
Очень красивая broom )+
Thank you for watching and commenting, Casper.
Beautiful work!
Do you sell these?
Thank you, but no I work a full time job and these kind of projects are just hobbies. Thanks for watching
