i feel like its not that Christina is against the march for women's rights, but more of the fact that there's a huge ass event going on that's affecting her business negatively. like it could have been some other protest or march and she probably would have had the same reaction.

She's allowed to be upset about it, the March is important but it's importance doesn't invalidate her feelings

Everyone is saying that the women's march is more important, yet this young woman has started her own business that will hire mostly women (as cosmetology is a woman-dominated field) and this launch party is essential for networking and advertising her small business. So why say that the women's march was more important and therefore she should stop complaining, when the march was meant to empower women just like her to do exactly what she's trying to do: be an independent, successful woman.

I'm all for women rights and supporting women but I just don't understand what women are marching for today (maybe I'm missing something idk ) I've never felt oppressed because of my gender. Women in America can vote, run for president (can't wait to see the first female president), go to college, and have any job they want..women in America are treated like gold compared to women in the middle east. I'm not trying to be offensive or rude I'm really not maybe I'm missing something though I don't know everything.

It seems to you that all women have the same rights but in reality they don't. Many women are oppressed because the way the look and speak, I'm glad you're not facing any of that oppression but that's not the case for most women. Women's march is suppose to show other females being oppressed and treated poorly that we all stand with them. And yes women in America can work and go to school and can vote, but no matter what we're always looked down on when it comes to men and women. These marches are trying to instil equality and equity to both men, women, or anyone else for that matter. It's more than just marching for women.

  • @brendawilkins9649

Truthfully the police can easily bring in enough manpower to clear out a path to get the deliveries through. The guests may have a more difficult time but they can use their resources to clear a path for businesses. What would their excuse be if rescuer personnel such as an ambulance or firefighters couldn’t get though in an emergency? That protest, however well intended and considered important, does not supersede the public’s right to safety nor the rights of businesses who conduct business there every day. The police should’ve done more.

    • @thatgirlmaiyak8923

Tara Secilmis they planned the party way before the Women’s March. They put money down for this event. They lose money when they postpone. Chefs and caterers are busy too. It’s not that simple. Once the food is made, she can’t get that money back. It’s an ordeal.

Folasade Osibodu she's not saying she's important, she didn't plan on having her launch the same day as the protest. A lot of money and time was invested a year in advance for everything. It's a lot for her to deal with.

Do you not understand that in a way this march means nothing to her. How is this particular march going to benefit her at this moment in time? Not at all! Nothing is stopping her from having success as a women, she already has it. Like it or not she still has a business to run, she still has bills to pay, and she needs the clientele in order to just keep going. So yes this march is affecting her at that current moment. I'm sure everything will be fine by the evening when the party takes place. But life goes on after the march and people still have work to do, this is their livelihood! Give her a damn break she's not crying over spilled milk, she worked her ass off and wants her business to succeed.
