- In this episode, we take a break from the big projects to assemble the ZT Fab welding cart kit. This kit utilizes a toolbox from Craftsman, Kobalt, Husky or US General to build an awesome welding setup! All the pieces fit together great and this kit was a fun little project to make a big difference in the garage. After having this for a few weeks it was a huge upgrade for garage.

What upgrades does your garage need? What other tool/garage videos would you like?
RecklessWrenchGarage couple 1000 more square feet! Tools that save you time! 😉
A bigger garage is always the best upgrade lol!
I need more space for a lift, and better lighting. I am getting mine all organized. Better lighting is next on the list.
The LED shop lights from Costco are really good. They can be linked together and are fairly cheap.
Plasma cutter that doesnt cost a ton of money.
Yes great kit i bought one a year ago power coated all the parts 😂👍😁
Awesome upgrades, love the cam work for the vid and of course.. gotta mention your dog lol he looks like he loves it too. Thanks for sharing
I like this idea. Kind of funny. I built pretty much all of my past builds with a Hobart 140. Then upgraded to the Miller 211 when I needed to weld some much heavier steel.
man, havent seen you guys in years. forgot about you.
Looks like it would be a great alternative to my acetylene torch cart as well
Nice cart, I made one on the same idea for a harbor freight tool box. Definitely better then the cart I got with the welder
That’s a sweet looking kit
Sweet idea👍🏼
nice, might have to do that with my rig, dont have enough room for all my welding stuffs on the current cart...I run an older miller 211, that thing is awesome, you'll love it.
Looks nice
Great video. Thanks.
Digging those Ridgid jackstands.
I have had those for about 10 years and they are one of the most useful tools I have bought
Great video. But I do have a tip for you and your viewers. When installing the nurserts. Hold the screw and turn the nut. This way you don't put twisting stress on the threads of the nutsert. You want to pull straight up to swage it.
Thanks for the tips! These were "jack nuts" provided in the ZT Fab kit and I have never used this type of rivnut
U are going to love that welder, trust me I have one
Nice ill get me one i just got me a 215 need to order zt fab buy the box blue from harborfreight today!
Cruickshank Islands
Now you have to paint the cart, Miller blue.
Is that bracket for the 7” or 9” bottles?
Hi,
What's the model number of the Craftsman tool box?
I'm trying to find a good box to build a cart around.
What is up with that green tool chest? Never seen one like that.
Your guess is as good as mine lol. I got that from a co-worker about ten years ago who got it from an air force unit that turned that box in because they got new tool chests. There is no brand or model on it. It weighs about 450 lbs empty and built like a fortress
@@RecklessWrenchGarage nice! Gotta love having pieces with special stories like that. It's unique! I think in a good way.
I built my tool chest out of three filing cabinets and put a birch countertop on it. 79" long. Next will be two harbor freight 44" end to end.
What happened to the 9" build?
If you look in the background in the beginning and end you can see it lol. You guys should get the next video on it soon! Editing and filming take a little longer
250 is a little pricey.
Understandable. It’s a great alternative for someone that needs the function and storage space this offers.
@@RecklessWrenchGarage I get that.i have things laser cut all the time.i know fair pricing and that's too high.
Did ZTFab give you this kit for nothing or a reduced price?
A lot of UA-camrs are putting these things together and praising them to the heavens, but I think it's way overpriced and not a great product, so I wonder if ZTFab is buying favorable videos with free kits.
I bought a Harbor Freight tool chest, some steel, some screws, a little chain, and truck bed paint. I made a big welding cart that holds two welders, two enormous bottles, and hundreds of pounds of accessories. I paid somewhere around $350, TOTAL. The ZTFab kit for me cost $310 to my door, tax not included. No chest. The ZTFab parts don't come painted or assembled. The fasteners put new stress on the tool chest. It's nowhere near as good as a cart you can make yourself for a lot less money.
Keep in mind this video is over 2 years old and this was purchased in 2019.
No I did not get this free, or a discount. I saw something that looked cool and someone put some thought into it and I like supporting that.
Want to sell your old welder ?
I already parted ways with it
