I was mainly talking more about the preparation such as at 3:45 as he placed a cloth below the beaker. But I wouldn't say the way he moves has nothing to do with the fact he didn't spill. for example, if at 1:16 he didn't move the way he did, the honey would have dripped on to the counter.
His movements are very precise, ritualized, and, well, Japanese. That's not to say that other cultures don't highlight that sort of movement, but if you look at most ceremonies in Japan, especially the highly ritualized movements of the Tea Ceremony, then how he moves makes perfect sense. It's the perfect combination of artistry and efficiency, practiced to perfection.

I'd disagree with, Slow, annoying sounds coming from liquids being poured, the shots on his face are just uncomfortable simply because the duration of exposure + slowmo?. This drink was sadly simple to say the least, any layman wouldn't have a problem to make it yet it was treated with such 'passion?' in editing. Iunno man, not for me lel.
