I love how Dave calls out all the bullshit vinyl myths, like how they sound better than cds. So much of the reason old music sounds good was the care put into the recording and instruments.
I prefer vinyl, probably because I was introduced to rock music as a kid in the 70s on vinyl. It does have a different sound, if you like it great, if you don't great. If you don't like it dosen't mean it sucks, or cds are better. The original pressings are obviously the ones you want.
Show's how pedestrian my tastes are: I fucking love the prim and polished versions of "Mastermind," "God Says No," and the other MM albums Dave thinks sound over-produced. I guess I'm too easy to please being a die-hard Magnet fan!
I'm surprised the show host puts forth the theory of finding digital music worse because it uses sampling. Hasn't it a) at a certain rate humans can't distinguish samples, and b) due to how DACs work - some frequencies on a cd are not more "square" than those on vinyl
The whole world should know this great Rock Band
Dopes to infinity 1995 + lsd ---> hooked for life. Here we are 23 years later. Thanks MM
Great Interview. Dave has given us so much great music over the years.

Great band. Some of the best Rock or whatever songs made... ever.
Such an underrated band. Dave is a really good songwriter.
