Founders Sing Truly amazing person. I did not know he was so young. I thought he started his activism at age 23 with Dr. King. It is very sad to think that almost all of the people who stood with Dr. King have passed away. But, their message, convictions, and results will never die. We the People must replace our current government in order to achieve equality, liberty, and justice for all.

In the universal grand scheme of things, after all the dust settles at the end of time, we will all realize that somebody has to play the heavy, just as somebody has to play the light. And that somebody is all of us.
When interviewed by Jonathan Swan in 2020, Trump petulantly announced (twice) that John Lewis “didn’t come to my inauguration,” which became practically the only thing he said about a man he “didn’t know.” But the rest of us knew-at least OF him. May the memory of John Lewis continue to endure as a blessing.

Beautifully done! Thank you for a fitting tribute to the kind of American we should all aspire to be. John Lewis was a man of honor, integrity, strength, grace, and dignity. Above all, he loved this country. This November, let's all follow his example. No matter what it takes, do your duty and vote. That's right, it's a duty and we must all take it seriously. It's not always easy to be the best American we can be. We have lives and families. But we can't take this duty lightly. You think your vote means nothing, but all our votes together mean a great deal! Volunteer if you can. It doesn't take much. But you must act, whatever you can do. Stand up for our country, please. Our democracy needs each and every one of us! ❤☮
The strength and courage this exceptional man has is beyond comprehension. The courage and love he had for his fellow human beings is extraordinary. Always with dignity, grace compassion and love for his country. This is how we should all be. I have so much admiration for this giant of a man. R.I.P. John Lewis. God always blessed your heart
He was ready to fight, willing to get into good trouble, may he rest in the loving arms of God, where there's no more hatred, pain, suffering, strife or death. God has Mr. Lewis now and will wipe all tears from his eyes, evil will NEVER win! Love will ALWAYS prevail! Mr. Lewis was a light in the time of darkness! His living was not in vain! WE SHALL OVERCOME ONE DAY! DEEP IN MY HEART I DO BELIEVE THAT WE SHALL OVERCOME ONE DAY! May God please bless his family, may they know that weeping may endure for a night, but my Bible tells us that JOY will come in the morning! Sleep on faithful soldier, take your rest!

A brilliant light has been dimmed. Other great men and women of substance and courage may come and go, but there will only be one John Lewis. May his memory be a blessing. Your work, the song, and the animation was superb. Thank you.
This is a beautiful song very befitting of such a beautiful soul as John Lewis. May he rest in peace. Respectfully sending best wishes & condolences to his loved ones & citizens of the USA from Scotland. The world has lost a hero. Thank you Founders Sing for this tribute.
This country needs another John Lewis..... but there could never be another that's this fine a man. Dignity, grace under pressure, he'd be staring down that MAGA mob if he was still with us. How blessed we were to have him while we did!
In the past month, I accepted an invitation from a Canadian art student of my late husband to join a Zoom meeting of a Canadian Toastmasters club, called ‘hi noon’. We meet on Wednesdays at noon, Pacific Time. It is a wonderful, educational and uplifting experience from a truly great organization. Last week I presented a seven minute speech inspired by the passing of congressman John Robert Lewis. As many may not know, Lewis spoke in DC and at the age of 23, was a keynote speaker at The March on Washington in August 1963 for equal rights to all no matter what the color of their skin. That is when Martin Luther King delivered his “I have a dream speech”... On March 7, 1965, Lewis actually LED over 600 peaceful, orderly protesters across Edmund Pettis bridge {Named after a high priest of the KuKlux Clan}, where he almost died, peacefully demonstrating for the right to Vote. I did not know a lot about John Lewis except to hear him speak in Congress, or lead an overnight sit-in on the House floor! Especially when there was a controversy of human rights. Despite more than 40 arrests, physical attacks and serious injuries in his lifetime, Lewis remained a devoted advocate of the philosophy of non-violence. He also spearheaded the creation of the act of Congress to build an historic Museum of African History in Washington DC. A dream that took nearly 25 years to fulfill. But his recent death brought back many memories that I have of segregation, such as the apartheid policy of whites and nonwhites in South Africa, Where I attended University in 1967. . And childhood memories of witnessing anti-Semitism. I learned from my Dad, ‘Jimmy Casanova’ that laughter is good medicine! So I follow this satirical musical group, the ‘founding fathers‘... It is usually political and funny. This is not. My speech for our Zoom Toastmasters meeting was entitled: ‘good trouble and forgiveness” in honor of the late Congressman, John Robert Lewis. I was moved by this video today and thought you would be, too. Love, Casse Forczek of Northern California
Beautiful beyond words. To say that I love it would be nothing short of an absolute understatement. RIP John Lewis. You will never be forgotten, and you will always be in our hearts. Thank you for all that you did in the name of freedom and equality, and congratulations for all of that which you have done and achieved. You should know I voted for Barack Obama twice, and loved seeing him next to you in this video, especially since he won both times and indeed is a winner, just like you are. I hope you're enjoying your well-deserved special place in heaven in the best way.
I have been holding out hope that you would honor this great American. The America he worked for is worth every bit of sweat blood and tears that he shed. It is still up to We the People to make it Real. Every day we March, Vote and Love our fellow Man as we love ourselves will one day make the change. Never Stop until we are all one America.
Thank You for the tribute to John Lewis !!!!!!!!!!! This should be an inspiration for the rest of the country !!!!!!!! As John Lewis said " If you see something, say something." " If you see something do something." We all need to do this now to save our nation from being torn apart by evil forces. WE THE PEOPLE must unite as one people , one nation in force to get rid of that which divides us racism, poverty, inequality and sexism. Get in good trouble and participate in turning this country around. We as a people can dream of a world where there is no war, no crime ,no inequality everyone living up the way the creator intended. Peace, love, compassion for our fellow man. Then maybe we will have peace on earth and good will towards man. May the peace and love that John Lewis had for us keeps us focused on the work we still have to do. Thank You for this tribute !!!!!!!!!! Stay safe America !!!!!!!!!!
How beautifully written, thank you Jennifer! Your heart is in the right place, and I'm sure you're inspiring everyone around you with your heartfelt vision.
What a beautiful tribute to such a beautiful and brave hero. Rest in power Mr. Lewis. I’m not really crying....my eyes are just perspiring from the summer heat.😢😭🥰💕
Founders Sing have succeeded to make me look forward to all their songs with a twinkle and a chuckle but this cracked me up especially with stood his ground without raising his fist; yes, I was all teared up. What a wonderful for a truly great man.
Your song made me cry. I also loved how you took his pictures and made them come alive for us. How could a black young man remind me so much of my own Italian dad when younger? We are all more alike than different, huh? Wish more understood that.
Wonderful Tribute to a Great Human Being. Just watched John Lewis talk about an ex KKK member who bashed him up at a bus station way back when and in 2009 in his 70's went to Lewis's office to ask for his forgiveness. The Power of Love.
Founders Sing, Thank You All for remembering this outstanding human being. His travels were difficult, but no matter the conditions he never wavered from his principles. It is unfortunate that the brutality he endured in his marches with Dr. King, are no different in our time. My wish is that his efforts will not be lost in this new America with it’s disconnected people, racism, and a dysfunctional government.
This is a great tribute to a great man. The loss of John Lewis is a huge one for the world. We can all learn and act from his leadership. Let's all get in "Good Trouble" this year and make sure the current administration and the sycophant followers in congress get voted out!
Yes, Ed! Couldn't agree more on every level. If anyone needs John Lewis's leadership lessons, it's the criminals in power now... but I doubt they'll listen. Sigh.
What a magnificent inspirational man who fought for racial equality all of his life, a man who I am sure Dr Martin Luther King (MLK) was immensely proud to have him as comparative, friend and avid supporter of the lessons he learnt at the side of MLK. Those who are left behind fight must continue to fight for GOOD TROUBLE.
Founders you too are inspirational, songs have a way of seeping into the brain without us knowing, and I think that Shakespeare said If music be the food of love, play on Pease keep playing so that you can contribute to your the removal of the prize drongo in the White House
The comments made me flat out cry after listening to this beautiful tribute for 6th time non stop repeat. All the love. People uniting here to remember such a great man. Thank for the music and thank for all the comments. He spoke to all our hearts
FOUNDERS! There have been a few things in my life that have made this old, battle-hardened, and battle-scarred ("beautiful" - my wife calls me) Soldier *WEEP.* Seeing things only a Soldier gets to see. This song is a *BATTLE HYMN* for all those women & men in uniform, those nurses, doctors & first-responders in this difficult time, those essential workers putting themselves in harms way. For all those who, like John, wake up every day, and go out to do battle - That We May Be Free! Love To You. Semper Fi! Thank you.
WOW, Moreno, what a beautiful note. THANK YOU for your service. Together we honor the selflessness and courage exhibited every day by all of the essential workers, health care workers, emergency responders, and other healers protecting us. We stand in absolute awe of John Lewis for his commitment to using love and nonviolence to change the world for the better. The challenge has been laid down, and we're all gonna rise to the occasion. I feel it in my bones!
Sometimes the animation (?) of these videos is a little "off", but this one is phenomenal. The movements look so real. The smile and wink. And the words of the song. Tears were welling up in my eyes. This is an excellent tribute to an amazing and honorable man. Thank you so much.
He was the epitome of a good human being. Tough and tender. Passionate about justice and equality for all. He fought the good fight, his race is done. He has ascended into the realm where all love, light and peace originate.
He was an activist until the day he died. Keep going. Vote. Everyone benefits from Good Trouble.
He really never, ever stopped walking the walk since the age of 15. How many of us hear our calling that young? Mind-blowing and inspiring.

BEAUTIFUL....JOHN LEWIS , NOW IN
THE ARMS OF THE ANGELS...R.I.P.
SIR AND THANK YOU....
YES, in the arms of the angels. What a beautiful image, thank you!
Very Classy and Well Done, Founders Sing!
Let Freedom and Good Trouble forever ring in this once great country!
In honor of John Robert Lewis lets "Get In Good Trouble" and 🗳 vote November 3, 2020 and be on the RIGHT SIDE of History.
John you were a Hero, that's for sure. But you were a kind, compassionate and humble man that cared for the American people. Thank you for your sacrifice. Thank you for your service. Now take a bow in Heaven, John, for a Job Well Done.👏👏👏🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🌹🌿🌹👍😊💕💓💕😊👍
Vote as early as your state allows!!
John Lewis was born in a shack and worked in the fields as a child. His courage in the face of police violence should NEVER be forgotten. A great man whom we have lost, but who must, even now, look down from heaven and tell us all “get into good trouble”
Imagine a world where 45 cared about morality and justice half as much as John Lewis cared.
"Never despair about the struggle ......"
Thanks, Charles! We love it when folks quote us, although in this case we quoted John Lewis in spots throughout the song. Timeless and stirring words.

Well-said, JoAnn. His impact is immeasurable, and he inspires us to be better.
Just Excellent. The hope I have for this country is that there are still people like this fighting every day for human dignity. Please vote in November.
❤❤❤ OMG, I'm fighting back tears. Such a beautiful tribute. Rest In Peace, Congressman John Lewis.
Lovely. I am 67 years old and lived through the turmoil of the 60’s and will be getting into “Good Trouble” again. Vote Blue.
Thank You, John Lewis, for all you did for this country. Rest In Peace.
Thank you, Founders Sing, for this homage to a great man.
Thanks so much, to John Lewis for the leadership, and to you for appreciating our efforts. Forward together!
Job well done!!!!! Rest gently John Lewis
💔 Beautiful Tribute 😢 We’ve lost to many great patriots these past couple years.
Rest In Peace Good Sir🙏🏼
Thank You for your endless fight for equality and justice. You will not be forgotten❤️
A brilliant light has been dimmed. Other great men and women of substance and courage may come and go, but there will only be one John Lewis. May his memory be a blessing.
Your work, the song, and the animation was superb. Thank you.
Thanks for this great music video.
This is a beautiful song very befitting of such a beautiful soul as John Lewis. May he rest in peace. Respectfully sending best wishes & condolences to his loved ones & citizens of the USA from Scotland. The world has lost a hero. Thank you Founders Sing for this tribute.
*John Lewis shall not be forgotten*
I'm so sorry I knew nothing and glad I learned about this real American Hero...
Absolutely awesome! What a fantastic tribute to a true American hero!
Thank you, Karen. We wrote it from the heart. True heroes are rare, and he was one.
I'm not crying... oh wait, yes- yes, I am!!! ❤🙏❤🎩 BEAUTIFULLY DONE!!
Thank you, KaylaDawn. We cried too!
RIP John Lewis. You were a hero to the world and a saint on earth. You will be sorely missed. 😪
This was wonderful, brought tears to my eyes, wishing we had people like him in charge of our country......God bless him, and all of us
Rest in Power, you good & decent soul. We'll take it from here sir. You walked your talk & forged a path & now you're home. ❤
Great tribute and so apt for Rep John Lewis. Thank you Mr John Lewis. RIP. We will continue to March. Let us vote
March and vote, YES!
Beautifully written, thank you LaLamar!
Beautiful and moving. Let’s hope that change for the better is fast approaching. 🙏
Founders Sing have succeeded to make me look forward to all their songs with a twinkle and a chuckle but this cracked me up especially with stood his ground without raising his fist; yes, I was all teared up. What a wonderful for a truly great man.
Thank you for your emotional response, Sokaribo. We felt the same way: moved to tears.
Already tearing up at just the opening picture...Thank you to the Obama family for conveying this American's respect.
Your song made me cry. I also loved how you took his pictures and made them come alive for us. How could a black young man remind me so much of my own Italian dad when younger? We are all more alike than different, huh? Wish more understood that.
I understand.
Wish that more were like John Lewis.
Wonderful Tribute to a Great Human Being. Just watched John Lewis talk about an ex KKK member who bashed him up at a bus station way back when and in 2009 in his 70's went to Lewis's office to ask for his forgiveness. The Power of Love.
YES, I saw that piece too. So moving! It really captured the hope there is for humanity if and when we can get past our mistaken prejudices.
Not an American but know a real hero when I look at this man’s life
This is a great tribute to a great man.
Sigh.
Every once in a while we're blessed with the presence of a great teacher. John Lewis was such a teacher.
Yes Irene! We can all learn so much from the example set my John Lewis. His commitment to justice will be an inspiration for generations to come.
Founders you too are inspirational, songs have a way of seeping into the brain without us knowing, and I think that Shakespeare said
If music be the food of love, play on
Pease keep playing so that you can contribute to your the removal of the prize drongo in the White House
Mr Good Trouble (John Lewis) Is Now Dancing With The Angels.!!🙏
The comments made me flat out cry after listening to this beautiful tribute for 6th time non stop repeat. All the love. People uniting here to remember such a great man. Thank for the music and thank for all the comments. He spoke to all our hearts
The love I feel from all the moving comments have me choked up. God bless.
Very nice work guys.
I feel it in my bones!
awesome
Outstanding, thank you for this.
Sometimes the animation (?) of these videos is a little "off", but this one is phenomenal. The movements look so real. The smile and wink. And the words of the song. Tears were welling up in my eyes. This is an excellent tribute to an amazing and honorable man. Thank you so much.
I'm crying.😥
I salute Rep. John Lewis for his courage and his convictions which has brought this country to a better place because of him. Thank you.
He was the epitome of a good human being. Tough and tender. Passionate about justice and equality for all. He fought the good fight, his race is done. He has ascended into the realm where all love, light and peace originate.
How beautifully written, Lark. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.
