I definitely prefer AO printing to the at home printing files. I do not have access to a projector. I can never seem to tape the pattern together properly no matter how hard I try🤦♀️. I live in Canada and getting access to a AO printing facility was difficult especially price wise. I did eventually find one through word of mouth in the UA-cam community. I don’t mind the wait of receiving it in the mail…I try to plan in advance😊.
Glad you found a shop that works for you! I used to save up my patterns and send them all off at once (usually during a sale, ha!) to maximize shipping costs! I only printed at home if I absolutely needed to 🤣🤣 ~J
I have printed patterns using PDF Plotting, but I switched to printing at home. While PDF Plotting does a great job and ships quickly, they print all layers. And, I must wait until I have several patterns to print to save on shipping costs when using them. Since Love Notions tells you what pages you need for the version you’re sewing, I find it faster to print just those pages in only the size(s) I need. I use my own ink, but I can start sewing my project faster.
Just read your blog post. It was very helpful. Thanks for your hard work in doing the copy shop comparisons. I haven’t seen this done by anyone else!
So glad you found it helpful!! We are lucky to have many options available to us now! ❤️ ~J

Yes! I use a projector mostly, but still sometimes print at home and A0. They all have a place in my pattern library needs! ☺️ ~J
I agree Lisa! I've recently gone from using scotch tape to a large glue stick. Much faster and you can rearrange the page if you're a little "off".
