metalfalsetto The franchise that has made over 6 billion in merchandising? 1.3 billion in box office? Increased attendance to Disneyland by 20% when it's themed area opened? That WORST one? Studios wish they had that kind of failure.
The Aerosmith song was a great choice. As brilliant as The Who's "Won't Get Fooled Again," in Bugs Life ("Out here in the fields, I fought for my meals"), and "Break On Through (To The Other Side)" by The Doors for Monsters, Inc. Fantastic choices. Congrats. Looks like a winner. But. I have to say, if the stakes in this film are -- like the old WDW attraction upon which this seems to be based -- whether a boy and girl talk to each other, the movie itself could be a big let down. I think it goes without saying that this needs to go way beyond Osmosis Jones in every way; "death by egg" is not a really great option. Obviously, high stakes can lead to high emotions... up to a point. If it veers off into the morose, you risk being labeled as maudlin or manipulative. "When Somebody Loved Me" ground Toy Story 2 to a halt, and for me at least, Up never got started after the first few minutes.
Y'know Pixar has taken a huge back step with planes, planes F&R, and cars 2. But this trailer, has restored my faith that Pixar can still be as great as it was before and could even be better. Cheers to 2015, where everything will happen.
cjwalkerist luke Lol yes, when i was watching the trailer for Planes I was like " This better not be Pixar or i will stab my eyes out and never have my faith in Pixar restored" And sure enough it was Disney and i was like "HA!"
I know I'm not the only one who thought Pixar was involved with planes. However it was kind of wrong of Disney to try and profit off of the universe Cars built. And then Pixar got blamed.
gallantmon8 I actually attempted to break into Wonders of Life (the pavilion CC was housed in) this past summer... No luck on getting in, but Buzzy is still in there. Somewhere
To be honest, when I first heard about this I wasn't sure it was going to work but this teaser makes it look like it could be Pixar's best film to date.
I dunno about "Pixar's best film to date" but I'll say even though I wasn't giving it much credit before this trailer managed to hit all the feels. If they can do that with just a trailer than maybe I'll be in for a nice surprise when the film comes out.
That compilation of most of the Pixar films if not all of them was beautiful and made me feel happy. The part when Woody said "So long... partner". That gave me so many chills.
Toy Story is about toys having feelings. A Bug's Life is about bugs having feelings. Monsters' Inc. is about monsters having feelings. Finding Nemo is about fish having feelings. The Incredibles is about superheroes having feelings. Cars is about cars having feelings. Ratatouille is about mice having feelings. Wall-E is about robots having feelings. Up is about a widower having feelings. Brave is about a princess having feelings. Inside Out is about feelings having feelings. EVERY PIXAR MOVIE IS ABOUT CHARACTERS HAVING FEELINGS.
I like how most of the trailer is basically "Hey look at all the good movies we made that you all remember! What do you mean most of our talent moved to the Disney's animation studio?"
I still think Pixar is better than Disney. Just by comparing the ideas they both come up with. Pixar Upcoming Movies - Emotions that live inside a girls head define who she is and try to get her life back on track - The meteorite that destroyed the dinosaurs actually missed and the dinosaurs co exist with us. Disney Recent movies - An adaptation to a marvel comic that inspired 85% of the movie - Oh yeah and we have another princes movie.
luisgarza1000 at the same time Disney have these upcoming movies for 2016: - A story based on the south pacific where a Polynesian girl teams up with a demi-god and navigate the sea in search of a legendary island - A tale in a modern world of anthropomorphic animals where an ambitious fox and a self-righteous cop rabbit are victims of a conspiracy and end up having to work together Both can have very good ideas and very plain ideas (Cars 2 for instance), you can't say Pixar is better considering Disney's 77 years feature-length movie backlog.
Pedro Vasconcelos if both of those movies are animated than yeah. I know that one of them is zootopia? i think that's the name. Well.. The first 15 movies Disney made only 4 or 5 of them became instant classics. And Pixar has 10 out 14 that are not just good but amazing.
luisgarza1000 the first one is Moana, the second is Zootopia. And yeah, the first movies weren't big hits but consider that until Cinderella, the only "proper" movies were Snow White, Dumbo, Pinnochio and Bambi, all of them became hits. Even Fantasia, which wasn't a success, is a masterpiece. The rest were short movies compiled together, due to crisis caused by the war. And even without them, there are still 48 movies to count, and most of them are great.
When I first saw this trailer showing clips from previous Pixar movies, it felt like it was opening the door for a new generation of films. Great job, Pixar.
@@Empty_Sprite_Bottle I’m fine with videos getting marked for kids, but I’d like to be able to comment on them on original UA-cam, and videos should be appropriately marked
@@abelarmstrong8054the thing is is that yt automatically sets it to made for kids if the bots think it is, it's super annoying. I'm glad that yt hasn't made this made for kids yet
For those of you who don't know the whole plot, the little girl is sad and her attitude is grey because her family has moved and she is not adjusting to the change well. Its relatable, but contains a wonderful essence of magic. I'm stoked for this movie, and you should be too.

Tard_is_Bob Actually it's fishes. Fishes in biology is used to describe multiple species of fish. Finding Nemo had multiple species, like clown fish, blue tang, puffer fish, starfish, etc.
This has to be the best Pixar trailer ever. This is the only one that has all the movies and to mention the music. The moment I saw this I was like: Woah...... sweeeeet emmottttions.
Yeah, but if you notice the memory orbs, they are mostly yellow. That means that the girl has more positive memories. There's a few blue - sad memories. A couple red ones - angry memories. and almost no purple and green ones - disgusting and fear memories.
I'm forced to assume that due to conflicts between Disney and Pixar this movie is actually going to be terrible which is why they spent more time reminding the audience about their previous successes than actually trying to convince anyone this film will be goood. It's all about making as much profit on opening day.
As a psychologist, I can't say the 'people in our head' approach to understanding emotion is anywhere close to accurate... HOWEVER, I do think it's a great way to educate children and make them feel more comfortable about the different feelings we all encounter on a daily basis. Big ups to Disney+Pixar. :)
That first part really makes me happy it shows a long adventure Pixar has gone through Up,Toy,Story,Wall E and they are still making good movies i`m glad i got to see wonderful movies as a Pixar Fan
I like that pixar knows its audience. they don't need to tell us much about their new movie, just remind us that they own our childhoods and we are going to buy tickets to see this regardless.
Anyone else get the feeling this movie will be kinda deep? Like when I saw the family eating dinner in a shabby looking house it just seems like they don't have the best life and that the movie will show that the little girls life isn't that great. Anyone else get that feeling?
If this had scenes from Toy Story 2, here's what they would be: Joy: Rex's reaction when he saw the Buzz Lightyear video game book Fear: Bullseye climbing into the cookie jar when Woody and Jessie are about to fight Anger: Prospector punching Buzz when he opened the case Disgust: Woody gagging after Al belched in his face Sadness: Jessie looking outside the box when Emily is leaving
I'm I the only one that cried during this trailer I mean I grow up with Pixar and I just really appreciate how the make us laugh full of joy how they make us bite our finger nails in fear how they make us sob with sadness how the Villain makes us pull are hair out anger and how the bad the pizza is at the movie theater makes us grunt in discuses the point is Pixar made amazing accomplishments for the first computer animated film in history or how many box office sales they get per year so Pixar I hope you know what your doing is the best any studio in America can do and Disney is nothing with you so thank you for making my childhood a great one and to show my kids one day thank you John Lassiter and Pete doctor for every thing
The very film that started the Inside Out fandom, hard to believe this film is almost a decade old(it turns 10 on June 19, 2025), and fun fact this film is actually what started the friendship between my best friend Alex and I!
***** No. It's not in 2016. Finding Dory is in 2016. The Good Dinosaur is the only other announced movie which is coming out November 2015. The only other movies with unannounced dates are Cars 3 and something about Dia de los Muertos.
Nicholas Moore Teasers are deliberately vague for the purpose of _withholding information_, a purpose which is defeated if you're going to simultaneously release that information in text form anyway.
I feel like the concept could be really interesting, looking at how a teenager is coping with emotions at a time when there all over the place. Just hope they don't dumb it down for the younger audiences. It's good for kids to be scared at times....Disney taught me that
Does anyone else have a problem with these stereotypes?? Joy= Tall/skinny/fair skin, Sadness= Female/Short/round, Fear = Male/ Skinny/nerdy, Disgust= Female/skinny/fashionable, Anger = Male/Short/Professional... Am I jumping the gun?
Well. those stereotypes makes the movie funnier. They exist for a reason. Cause it's what they suit the character. How can you have someone like joy, wear grandpa clothes like fear. It wouldn't make sense.
*Appearances need to make sense.* Just acting like it without looking like it, makes it look like they've switched personalities or brains. Kinda hard to take seriously.
0deadx21 I still don't think Pixar did it intentionally. Those stereotypes still say more about the charactters and it's and insanely creative approach to the stereotypes.
I'm just saying why can't we break these sterotypes? Why can't a short curvy girl represent joy? Why does being fashionable and disgust have to go hand in hand? Thin and smart? It's expected for them to be afraid instead of confident? We should encourage people to break these sterotypes, not rationalize them.
I won't judge this movie until I see it. I am a hardcore Pixar fan, and I wasn't too thrilled with their last 3 movies. This one looks like Pixar is getting back on track. I remember when Pixar films had memorable quotes, songs, and music. Toy Story 3, Cars 2, Brave, and Monsters University lacked all of that. I understand the company is going through a lot right now, but I just want them to make great quality movies again.
Tim Tran No, it really wasn't. You cant just throw around that term willy nilly to any good movie. No one was quoting it or singing songs from it or anything. And that's when it was still new. The only thing that came out of that movie was a few controversies about Brenda Chapman and Disney/pixar screwing up her vision. All of which have been long forgotten by most. Toy Story was a phenomenon, Frozen too (I know, not Pixar, that's beside the point). But definitely not Brave.
Up and WALL-E were recent (the ones in really recent years, other than Brave, have all been sequels) and they're pretty cemented in pop culture history.
Tim Tran I don't have the merchandise sales numbers, but for one thing I can tell you from personal observation that Rapunzel is a MUCH bigger draw than Merida at Disneyland regarding the princess "face" characters, even though she's been around for a year and a half longer.
If I could describe this movie in one quote fragment: "Honestly, if you could see just what was going on outside your realm of perception, it would blow your minds!"
I remember when this teaser was first released, most people hated it because they thought it was Pixar saying "man, our movies used to be great!" when they hadn't made anything good in years. I liked this teaser from the begining because I saw it as a loving tribute to Pixar at its best with a sneak peak at what's to come. I comment this because I felt like watching this again, was pretty glad that I did so and that made me remember what people's original reaction to this was.

I wanna see this more than The Avengers 2, Fast and Furious 7 and Jurassic World.
And Star Wars Episode VII?
I m more ecxited for Inside Out
Oh it will be! Star Wars VII, Avengers 2, Fast And Furious 7, Jurassic World, you name it.
All of these PLUS Mockingjay Part 2!
MrLuigi98 Star Wars doesn't really count since it's coming out basically in 2016..
Y'know Pixar has taken a huge back step with planes, planes F&R, and cars 2. But this trailer, has restored my faith that Pixar can still be as great as it was before and could even be better. Cheers to 2015, where everything will happen.
The Planes movies are Disney. Pixar wasn't involved in their production.
I agree that Cars 2 was a huge flop, though.
Then attack Disney for confusing people to thnk Pixar made planes.
cjwalkerist luke Lol yes, when i was watching the trailer for Planes I was like " This better not be Pixar or i will stab my eyes out and never have my faith in Pixar restored" And sure enough it was Disney and i was like "HA!"
I know I'm not the only one who thought Pixar was involved with planes. However it was kind of wrong of Disney to try and profit off of the universe Cars built. And then Pixar got blamed.
cjwalkerist luke Still, Pixar is still amazing and hopefully it will always be. Inside Out is a guranteed masterpiece.
welcome back Pixar.
this movie sounds like something that used to be at Epcot like Cranium Command
Ah, Cranium Command. One of the past Epcot things I never got to experience.

Claude Pawes
You are incorrect yet again.
Ninten Man01 no it wasn't
Claude Pawes How is that false. When Up came out people had the same argument. And now "Up" is like a lot of people's favortie Pixar film.
I dunno about "Pixar's best film to date" but I'll say even though I wasn't giving it much credit before this trailer managed to hit all the feels. If they can do that with just a trailer than maybe I'll be in for a nice surprise when the film comes out.

Check your joy-privilege, cishet!
That intro, I swear...you feel every emotion. Thank you Pixar for life!!
I like how most of the trailer is basically "Hey look at all the good movies we made that you all remember! What do you mean most of our talent moved to the Disney's animation studio?"
I still think Pixar is better than Disney. Just by comparing the ideas they both come up with.
Pixar Upcoming Movies
- Emotions that live inside a girls head define who she is and try to get her life back on track
- The meteorite that destroyed the dinosaurs actually missed and the dinosaurs co exist with us.
Disney Recent movies
- An adaptation to a marvel comic that inspired 85% of the movie
- Oh yeah and we have another princes movie.
luisgarza1000 at the same time Disney have these upcoming movies for 2016:
- A story based on the south pacific where a Polynesian girl teams up with a demi-god and navigate the sea in search of a legendary island
- A tale in a modern world of anthropomorphic animals where an ambitious fox and a self-righteous cop rabbit are victims of a conspiracy and end up having to work together
Both can have very good ideas and very plain ideas (Cars 2 for instance), you can't say Pixar is better considering Disney's 77 years feature-length movie backlog.
Pedro Vasconcelos if both of those movies are animated than yeah. I know that one of them is zootopia? i think that's the name. Well.. The first 15 movies Disney made only 4 or 5 of them became instant classics. And Pixar has 10 out 14 that are not just good but amazing.
Pedro Vasconcelos But i still love Disney. I just adore pixar.
luisgarza1000 the first one is Moana, the second is Zootopia.
The song at the end of the trailer is Sweet Emotion by Aerosmith
I love how you guys showed all the moods from the older Pixar movies. It gives me goosebumps every time 😃
The sadness little girl at the end... priceless...
Pixal will always be the best.
This is actually one of my favorite trailers since it shows all the past movies of Pixar in one trailer for another movie showing off its main trait
When I first saw this trailer showing clips from previous Pixar movies, it felt like it was opening the door for a new generation of films. Great job, Pixar.

I'm forced to assume that due to conflicts between Disney and Pixar this movie is actually going to be terrible which is why they spent more time reminding the audience about their previous successes than actually trying to convince anyone this film will be goood. It's all about making as much profit on opening day.
Well that's needlessly cynical of you.
Showing clips of Pixar movies in a teaser is something they've done several times. Be glad that this is an original movie rather than a sequel.
Well, I understand where you're coming from, but this is just a teaser. I'm sure we'll see more

Claude Pawes Wow what's wrong with you? melissa thapa just said that the video reminded her of her childhood...
Why was this recommended to me 9 years later? 💀
Ual a ls,s,
Why are you mentioning the words Toy and Story separately?
I like that pixar knows its audience. they don't need to tell us much about their new movie, just remind us that they own our childhoods and we are going to buy tickets to see this regardless.
Anyone else get the feeling this movie will be kinda deep? Like when I saw the family eating dinner in a shabby looking house it just seems like they don't have the best life and that the movie will show that the little girls life isn't that great. Anyone else get that feeling?

That was so funny to watch
This is so nostalgic, it still makes me want to cry watching it :')
So why does the description contain approximately 7 times as much information as the actual trailer?
Because it's a teaser
Josh Toons I'm not.
0:30 WHERE. IS. MY. SUPAH SUIT!
Happy 10 years of the trailer
Sometimes I think about if a Pixar film will ever be culture-popular again..
Brave was a pop-culture phenomenon, whether its good or not.
Well _I've_ started a fight. At least these people use common sense.
