Still performing and writing music over 42 years later. Incredible! Totally underrated genius's at melody, lyrics, composition and harmony. Never mind the artistic contribution made video wise, to the birth of the MTV era. Brilliant stuff ! See you guys soon. God bless you.

‘A career in Korea being insincere’ wow that’s deep 😂
It's a great song (musically) but there's nothing "deep" about it. Just another anti-capitalist cliché. Besides, capitalism has made them rich (the 4 of them).
One of the best ever especially for the instruments they used
💯 totalmente 🔥🇨🇱
How are Depeche Mode even real? Like honestly. Pure perfection.
Still a classic - Sounds even better today than the great 80's! Nov 2019!
I never saw DM live in the 80's or 90's, but now that they are coming to Vancouver in November 2023, it's a must on the bucket list at age 57. One of the most iconic bands to come out of the 80's. Still performing and writing music over 42 years later. Incredible! Totally underrated genius's at melody, lyrics, composition and harmony. Never mind the artistic contribution made video wise, to the birth of the MTV era. Brilliant stuff ! See you guys soon. God bless you.
I saw them back in the summer of 2017, and they were *LIT* !
@@matthewmoran5297 Same! I'm seeing them again this year too!
Saw them in 2013 and 2017 - so good live. Will see them again this year. Enjoy!😊
Enjoy the perfomance. I saw the concert this year in Germany. Great Show
InTheNow2020, I hope you really have the time of your life. They were one of my favorite bands of the 80's. And still today. God Bless and arrive home safely. Peace.
RIP Andy. Grew up in Zimbabwe listening to British pop. This is my favorite song from Depeche Mode🇿🇼🇬🇧🕊
It's not Zimbabwe. It's occupied Rhodesia. And it was better off under Ian Smith's government.

Who’s listening to this incredible masterpiece in 2024?!!
Saw DM live last night, this was a highlight with the whole crowd singing along
Me ~ I absolutely LOVE them ~ would love to see them live.
it gets better when you hear the demo versions of just Martin on guitar.
Me from CZ :-)
Meeee!!!!
I liked DM in the 80s but wasn’t a huge fan. It’s only in my 50s that I’ve come to become a huge fan and have really appreciated this amazing band.
Some songs grow on me much later as well .
Probably because this stands out as a thought provoking classic juxtaposed to the kind of deconstructed porno set to drum machines and autotune being produced today lmao
@@randyjackson347 This is a brilliant song. One of many from Depeche Mode!
@@mauricebastarache5168 So True !!!

They way Alan is blinking when he is singing.. his eyes are mesmerising😍
Lina Hitchcock watch this video for Alan.
Sexy
Why don’t you marry him then?
Yes I am a bit gay since I seen him lol
I Love Dm Best Band
Innigualable !!!
nothing beats synth sounds on 80s pop music. what an amazing song.
Once upon a time, we'd like/love the people who shared our favorite bands. Seeing that some come here only to ridicule and hate our choices of music... what sad and lonely people you must be. Yet still, you are embraced. Because music is a gift that should be intended amongst all peoples.
THIS SONG IS PROBABLY EVEN MORE RELEVANT TODAY!!!... IMHO!!! ; )
This song was released 33 years ago today. Happy Anniversary "Everything Counts"!
Omg I was 8 yrs old when this was released.
I was 13 and I remember being astonished that a "synthpop" band had created an incredible record. I was more of a metal head in '83, but DM definitely broadened my horizons. Been a big fan ever since. :-)
David Kappler what the fuck???
Hahaha

Quite possibly the most hypnotic song ever, never gets old. 3:23 The final chorus melody is so tranquilizing
agreed
The amount of instruments used in this song is amazing
The amount of superimposed scenes is also amazing
Yeah, a synthesizer and a drum machine :)
@@erwinwoodedge4885 and a vacuum cleaner
Any instrument counts
They actually used the synclavier, by far, one of the most powerful synths of that time, even the drums were sampled and sequenced using that machine.
Alan's so fine, it's making me cry right now! 😭😭😭
Gracias por tan hermosa música 🎼❤
born in 1994, a father who adores this legendary group, who passed on this love for Depeche mode to me, seen 3 times in concert, I don't regret anything, thank you for everything! Legends never die. RIP Mr Fletcher !
Absolutely LOVE this song. Stull sounding amazing in 2023! So danceworthy❤️
kim you are stunning 😍
Their first of MANY killer tunes!!❤❤❤
Madre mia!!! Esta música es un orgasmo. Me pregunto.
Always amazes me, even listening to it again now, after first having heard it almost 40 years ago, that such a new and young band could write such an amazing song.
Most.misicians were young...Smith's, Beatles, oasis all made their best music in their 20s.
Musicians tend to young at the start of their careers.😂

Me... this song is very fantastic💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕
the words that are still ever so true today. Prescient. The lies & deceit gained a little more power. Or maybe a lot more.
My favorite band of all time. Nothing beats the 80s, nothing.
Lol, same only Kpop comes close🎶💕
Now this is an absolute truth! 80’s forever 👑🎼💗
The cure, the smiths.. England owned the 80s for groundbreaking bands
@@JK-nk3hb tears for fears also 👌
@@riidge4177 true indeed. Could also sneak the La’s in there 👍
Takes me back to better times. Timeless ❤️
A real masterpiece.
I’m
37 years or age, born in the 80s. But man I truly wish my teens/twenties happened during this era of epic music. Depeche Mode are just LEGENDS. To those who have seen them live are their prime and lived through this era of music, my hats off and congrats, I am

It was an amazing time for music , so many great bands , human league, omd, erasure , the smiths etc . I’m 50, off to see depeche mode in January
Fantastic times in the 80s best music
🙂🙂 Great times
I saw them life yesterday, it was amazing!
Best song of Depeche Mode EVER......
I am 26 years old, Japanese, and I first heard this song in "GTA vice city" when I was a kid, and I have been listening to it ever since🫡
This song makes me feel nostalgic!
